I'm still trying to figure out what this card is....... I have the older Amex biz green charge card (the one with like 10k bonus for msr) is this a reboot of the same card,and I don't qualify for another?

and I need to re-up my prime membership..last year did the whole "buy a 'gift' membership" using my gc's bought at a discount, then when current one expires, adding the 'gift' to my account....any dp on if this is still a thing? I want it but i want a discount lol. the convenience has gotten me- plus they're finally streaming some stuff I watch.(hello Brady Bunch)

I ended up ordering it! The blue one too! I just got my Rakuten email and it says I earned $18.99! I am so confused by that amount. Lol. It said up to 5%. That is way more than 5%!

Oh, and I went to Lowe’s to get a Target GC! So $15 more off for me.

good job! I had considered the lowes/target gc route but couldn't wrap my mind around it (busy weekend) so went for the 5% -but I just got the 18.99 rebate email too!

flying ISP-MCO...and back nonstop they have always been available...we do get to the airport and gate at least an hour before....usually all the A1-15 slots are not filled
The only time I saw them filled was when SW cancelled a bunch of flights 6/2 but we were still able to buy A1 and A2 when we arrived at the gate....I’m assuming others who had C boarding bought them as they arrived at the gate

I still have my $3 Lowes clearance hibiscus I got 2 years ago.... I bring inside in winter, it has two color blooms (peach and red) and is amazing to this day,I bought what they had and gave them as gifts to friends too,they're all great! (opposed to some fancy nursery ones that died lol) Over the weekend DH and I used 3 amex/Lowes offers for amazon gc (always useful) and I grabbed a fleece blanket from the 75% off holiday decor section..... still have one more offer to use up but have to wait till I can pay for it first.

I read the email on the 75% off clearance, stood up to go over there - it's about 3 minutes from me and then remembered I'd just spent xxx$ on gift cards, have too much holiday décor and I'd prefer to take advantage of discounted Visa/MC's where I get a little back plus points and still have my money, so I sat back down and resumed sipping my coffee.

I've purposefully stayed away from Lowes garden center most of this year as I want to buy every frail little plant they put on clearance, knowing that they've just outgrown the pot and the nutrients have been used up because most of them are force grown under greenhouse conditions, and now all they get after arriving at Lowes is soaked in water whether they need it or not. I was just out trying to tie up some blooms from my Dahlias (that I bought at Aldi). They seem to just want to crawl on the ground, but they are so beautiful right now! Something else that needs to be dug up if you want to keep it for next year.....

I've never seen or heard of anytime all a1-a15 spots were taken by BS customers, I suppose it does happen from time to time but probably not on an inexpensive flight.

So my Gold SUB posted already. I also figures out how to book the flight I need via BA. Two questions-

1. BA says only 7 seats left. We need 4. Would you risk waiting for a transfer bonus? I know one just ended.
2. Can I see available seats before purchase? Doesn’t work if those 7 seats are notnear each other YKWIM?

If the BA bonus just ended it will probably be 4-6 months before there is another one. I wouldn't risk it if you already have the points.

mashed potatoes? that's interesting...I always hate using my hand mixer and making a mess,is this easier?

I don't know if it is easier or not as I hate using another bowl/pot to mash the potatoes. I would rather just drain the water and add what I want - lots of butter and cream - and use the hand mixer and then only have to clean those things.

Went ahead and bought DD EBCI for both flights. When I get to the airport I will try to buy priority boarding for DS and me. Hopefully we are covered. Will definitely keep priority next year for our trip to Seattle (for DCL Alaska). Appreciate everyone's advice very much!

That is exactly why I stopped escrowing a couple of years ago, to meet MSR's. Now I always get an MSR when it's tax time

For all those that don't escrow. Do you put away money yourself then for all of those bills? My mortgage payment keeps going up thanks to escrow. They "need" to have a $1500 balance in the account at all times. Well, single mom here, I'd like that $1500! The only perk of course is that I am not scrambling to find the money come tax times, since it's automatically taken out each month. But I don't like that my monthly payment keeps going up. Grrrrr!

That's interesting...somehow when I just complained about a flight (in general but tagged AA) they managed to figure out who I was and held a seat for me on a later flight (I was afraid I was going to miss my connection). I thought it was CRAZY given that my twitter (I thought) didn't have much info attached!

Yes....you will likely get something come the new year for them. My ex is a CPA (and does my taxes still). He told me to budget about 30% for each bonus.

Yes, I have money moved automatically from my checking to an online savings account every month, so that when taxes are due, I have the funds to pay them. I usually put in just a bit more to be safe,and I adjust every year when my taxes go up. If you get them to let you not escrow, you will get all the money they have, back in a check.

Yes I do have a separate account that I put money into monthly for large items...taxes, insurance DVC dues ....

Not a JetBlue person here (honestly not even sure they fly out if PHL since I don't recall ever seeing them pop up in a flight search) but based on the upvotes assume this is a change to their Vacation package policy. Sorry if it's well known already!

With the JetBlue Biz and Plus CC I believe you get an annual $100 statement credit towards a vacation package booking. Looks like you can just book a hotel for part of your stay to get the reduced package flight price and trigger the statement credit.

I know this was one of the reasons I've never done it with Southwest as I think you have to have the same check in/out dates with the hotel or rental car so I never managed to make it work for me ( we usually do the hotels on points and rarely have a rental car for our full stay). This seems like an interesting option to keep in mind for JetBlue CC holders when pricing out flights to use up that statement credit benefit.
