Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

CR Tower Club (read: not Atrium Club) is definitely an upgrade. But that doesn’t mean it’s to your taste, you could ask Disney about GF if you find yourself in that situation (I’d be happy to take them up on Tower Club myself). GF RPC is the cream of the crop but I’d be bummed out if they stuck me over in Sugarloaf from Poly.
Agreed! I would be happy to be moved from CL at the Poly to the Tower Club! That’s definitely an upgrade in my book. I would much rather be there than Sugarloaf at the GF, although if the pool (and proximity to it) is important, Tower Club might not be the same. Getting moved to another resort has never happened to me, although I’ve been upgraded within the same resort a few times (still, a very small percentage of all of our stays).

All the worry about being booted from your CL room is much ado about nothing. It happens VERY rarely, when you consider all the stays at Disney year in and year out. Probably less than 1% of the total stays on a given year. Why concern yourself over something so unlikely to happen?

I love the Contemporary, however, if I am expecting the Polynesian and get booted to the Contemporary, I'm going to be upset. I would expect an upgrade like Grand Floridian CL.

Were you okay with the change?

More than okay. We felt it was an upgrade when they told us and that was only confirmed after 7 awesome nights at Tower Club. Blew our previous Poly CL stays away.

And I completely agree with what @AngiTN said earlier. The odds of this happening are minuscule.

Quick food/beverage/lounge report from a recent YC CL stay. Pretty consistent with prior stays and recent reports, more or less.

A small "menu" sign is posted outside the lounge daily. Seems I missed a couple of days during the trip - doh!

Breakfast is pretty much the same daily with slight variations. Seen below are cut watermelon, red grapes, mixed berries. It's not out yet but vanilla and plain Greek yogurt is on that wooden platter. Just past that, cereal includes Raisin Bran, Fruit Loops, and Rick Krispies. Beverages include apple juice, orange juice, and water.

More breakfast items: hard boiled eggs, assorted cheeses, salami, and smoked salmon - the meat selection seems to vary by the day.

The left dish is oatmeal, which is out daily (along with cranberries, granola, and brown sugar toppings). The right dish rotates - this morning it was Crepes (with strawberry and whipped cream topping).

Here was another morning - the same hard-boiled eggs, cheeses, and this time turkey and ham. Note the large bowls on the right - YC CL, in my opinion, really gets things right with their plates/bowls relative to some other CLs.
448012

This particular morning also had biscuits and gravy out.

Evening app service is solid, in my opinion. One thing that I always enjoy about YC is how "nice" everything looks. The lounge is usually quite clean, dishes nicely labeled/presented. It's not over the top, but it's presented with some level of care. It's an "easy" space to navigate, find plates, etc.

Evening apps on this particular evening - scallops wrapped in bacon, assorted vegetables, chili (love the concept, but not when it's 90+ degrees), meatballs, make your own PBJ, and apple slices. The make your own PBJ rolls double as a dinner roll as well.

Closer look at the chili and meatballs.
448015

Different night, same make your own PBJ. Also a small-plate beef crostini type thing.
448016

This night also had pulled pork sliders (you make the slider with those buns) and chicken nuggets.
448017

A few other pics from this particular night. Current beer selection is Yuengling, Bud Light, Kona, and Stella. Unfotunately I didn't get a better shot of the wine.

Only caught dessert service one evening, but it seemed pretty consistent with past stays. With Epcot, DHS, and the Boardwalk all so close, I find we're never really around much for this service when we stay at the EP resorts - which is different than how we feel at, say, a MK resort.

This is self-served. The alcohol out during evening apps is CM-served.

Lastly, a quick look around various parts of the lounge:

Neat and tidy.
IMG_1039.jpeg

This "back" corner always seems a bit odd to me - just seems dark, under-utilized, and sort of an afterthought. There are board games on that shelf in the back. Although, this is a good place for some peace/quiet during the day!
IMG_1040.jpeg

Kids corner, now with only two chairs and two tables. My memory is there were more than two chairs before, but not totally sure about that. YC CL is a convenient CL if you have children as it is easy to keep your eye on them while also gathering food for you or them, or getting a refill. 8-)
IMG_1041.jpeg

This was between morning and afternoon services - they close off the food portion only while they clean / set-up. The lounge space itself never closes and is available 24/7.
IMG_1042.jpeg

Soda fridge (bottom left) and coffee station.
IMG_1043.jpeg

Flavored water is out in the 5th floor elevator lobby daily. Saw a bottle filler or two in our travels.
IMG_1115.jpeg

I was for sure these wouldn't last at BC & YC when they debuted last year... it was sort of like the Poly beer fridge during the day - too good to be true. But still going strong.
IMG_1210.jpeg

Soda selection includes Diet Coke, Coke, Sprite, and Ginger Ale.

So that's the latest from YC CL. We're quite fond of YC CL and very much enjoy everything it has to offer - great CMs who seem to genuinely care / take interest in their guests, solid lounge offerings, clean/crisp rooms - and you can't beat the access to EP and DHS... which is becoming more useful to us as the kids are getting older / we're out at night more. Happy to answer any questions!

No that great we usually stay at the beach club CL but they move us over since they are working on the club level BC so we are pretty excited about seeing something new.

Thanks, that’s the only cl I have not done,:) YET

So I consider myself a REGULAR here on the cl thread,

I have GF RPC in 2 weeks for DH and I for our 25th.

Then I’m taking dd and her bf for pres weekend , I liked the space of CSR deluxe suite so I booked RR 1 bedroom with the Disney visa discount,

Then my ta said she had TPV at CR for my birthday, (Easter weekend too). So I booked that and CG for my Bday dinner 11th.

Then today I booked CCV with pin code my son got for memorial weekend for me , dh, Ds, dd and bf. That 2 bedroom villa will be nice!

I wish I could do cl next year but the prices are insane! My AP ends in June so I have those trips booked.

After that I may just do 1 or 2 short trips, maybe. I always felt lucky I usually got to go where I wanted but the prices are just not worth what you get,

So sad. I have a few friends from here also doing the same. 700-1000 a nite is just a lot. A few years ago I did Cr atrium for 348 etc. how did it triple in 5 years?

Hope y’all get what you want when you book . Life is short so do what you can. I can say I never regretted anything I’ve spent at Disney. ❤️

Just wish I could book what I used to. 🙄

Trisha, thank you for posting what I have been thinking. I have been fortunate to have had many trips, and gotten phenomenal pricing for fabulous accommodations. That just can't be counted on anymore. A Disney trip was always a no-brainer, because you got a great value for your dollar. Anytime I did the math, Disney won over other vacations. In my opinion, that is no longer the case. There are so many other great vacations that can be had for my family for a more reasonable price. We have already started vacationing in other places (loved them!) and will continue to do so. We are Disney fans for life, and will continue to visit, but it isn't our standard yearly family vacation anymore.

Would you be able to tell me a little about the alcohol in the lounge? I'm wondering what times of day is alcohol available, and which alcohol is self-serve vs. cast member served? For the cast member-served alcohol, do you need to find a cast member and request the drinks? And do cast members just rattle off the options to you, or do they have a cart or something like that they bring out to you for you to make your selection? Lastly, are even coffee and sodas off-limits when the area is roped off? Thank you for your help.
