Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Anyone have experience snagging AP rates at YC? I've got a garden view room booked for now for my mid-Nov trip but would love to do YC CL if I can get it at an AP rate. Nothing opened up yet so I'm wondering if sometimes people have had success getting AP rates closer in to your travel dates?

Have you activated your AP at a Disney park? If you purchased it but have not activated it, I believe you cannot see AP discounts when you check online - I think you have to call to find out if there is an AP discount for your dates.

I have, used it earlier this year so it’s active and I can see the rates that are live.

I noticed a problem yesterday viewing AP rates, until I opened a private window. That resolved the issue.

I'm in the UK and I always book ME online - I've never called. The phone call cost me enough when I called to book a cabana last month ... I was on hold so long the call cost LITERALLY doubled the cost of the cabana!!!! 😣
Do you have link for booking ? My reservations have always just provided 0800 number to ring. Online would be so much easier :)

Were going the week before Thanksgiving. When the AP discount rates came out we snagged a YC GV too - as I checked during the rest of the day (I just keep refreshing most of the day) a YC CL popped up, however when I finally got ahold of my wife to confirm I should book it instead it was gone. I’d keep checking...

Stalking for my November stay as well! I’ve gotten them before, at other times of year, but haven’t seen any pop up this time yet. There are rooms under the regular fall discount at YC, and I’m tempted to book that JIC, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.....you just need to keep checking. Fingers crossed for both of us!!

Saw a BC Standard View CL open up today with an AP discount and we switched! Was looking forward to maybe a little more tranquility at YC but CL + easier walk to Epcot made it a no brainer switch. BC CL here we come!! Now to read up & find out if anything has changed at BC CL since we stayed a couple years ago!

Fingers crossed for both of you!

So excited for you!

I am going to check my December dates! It would work out so well to have YC/BC CL.

Excited to be staying at the YC for the first time at the end of October. We are at the BCV for 10 days and decided to add 2 night on to the beginning of our stay. Originally had a SV room at the BC booked for the 2 extra nights, but when the AP discount came out I was able to get a GV room at the YC and save money!

I've gotta say, the amount of information and detail in this thread is awesome! We will be staying at BC in a standard room from 11/30-12/6. This is our first Deluxe stay so the excitement level is pretty high.

What is the coffee pot situation like? It looks like some rooms might have Keurigs?

I do want CL but I'm so afraid once we do, we wont be able to go back, lol! The cheapest Epcot resort deal I could find for our Aug 26-Sept 2 non-DVC stay was BCV (,paying cash via Disney). We already have 2 nt Poly studio and 2 nt CCV studio to complete the vacation. I really dont NEED CL, I just want it

It’s hard to go back for sure, lol! And that was me 100%, don’t need it but definitely wanted it... On trips when we don’t do it we try to do a “club level” in the room, we’ll get groceries with wine and nicer snacks than usual (all the junk food we usually say no to) to still have that splurge feel :D

We bring a favorite boxed red wine. I know, boxed red wine sounds cheap but this one is very good and comes from Tuscany :) Anyway we bring it with us every trip...but maybe we'll bring some yummy cheese and artisanal crackers. What other special snacks do you bring?

Just back from a quick split stay 7/18-7/22 BC/YC. First two nights at BC in room 4547, water view with daybed and full balcony.

YC room 3077 water view, day bed, shower only.

This is a weak water view in my opinion. It’s more green than anything.
The crowds didn’t seem as dense as the did mid June. We were pleasantly surprised! I think we are back to the YC as our favorite. The beds seem larger and nicer and we don’t miss the carpet.
I think we might try to pull a trip off this fall. :teeth:

That is a strong water view IMHO. Atwater View could simply be a slice of a pool or canal
