For those that like the Priceline thing with WDW resorts, potential opportunities?
This is a GREAT post - thanks for sharing. I bookmarked it on my browser favorites in fact.

I was gonna suggest the same thing. They don't have axe-throwing, but they have McGuffins Bar (and frequent AMC gift card deals)
I'm so sad because our theater here doesn't have recliners. We got so used to our recliners in Iowa and it's so hard to go back to normal seats. Do any AMC theaters have the recliners?LOL Our local movie theater is about 5 minutes from home and is all reserved recliner seating. It's mostly locals so everyone brings their blankets and gets comfy. So it looks PlanePrincess worthy but feels like I'm in my living room. My blanket is hidden behind me for the picture. Of course it's a Mickey Mouse blanket that was given to me as an FE gift by a friend
We have two AMC's within 10 mins and both have the recliners.I'm so sad because our theater here doesn't have recliners. We got so used to our recliners in Iowa and it's so hard to go back to normal seats. Do any AMC theaters have the recliners?
ETA: I saw someone mention upthread that their AMC theater has them. I'm gonna have to search around for one near us that has them.

My coworkers boyfriend is big in axe throwing. That's part of what brought them to the area, to open a new location. He also travels and competes and they are trying to get it into the OlympicsOur matinees are $11. $13 if you want to buy online (which if you don’t you can almost be assured you drove 15 mins for nothing).
WHAT is with the Axe throwing?! I keep seeing that pop up on Groupon for a few cities!
Heck no!!Its not ridiculous to buy a pool float for the dogs, right?
Right?
I looked and I don't see any near us with the reclining seatsWe have two AMC's within 10 mins and both have the recliners.
The AMCs in our area with recliners are super expensive and don’t get me started on their concession costs. That’s why I am so thankful for my theater. DD was a film major, we see a LOT of movies. I have gone 4 weeks in a row. And will go again next weekend.
Oops I was wrong, 5 weekends in a row.
I hope I don't get shunned for this, but I didn't like the Lion King movie at all. Dh and I both looked at each other multiple times throughout because we were so bored. I actually almost fell asleep which doesn't normally happen for me at movies. I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of the cartoon Lion King anyway so maybe that plays a part in it. I guess I just thought the movie was extremely slow paced and the whole voice over on the animals just didn't work for me. However, Timon and Pumba redeemed the movie somewhat because they were fantastic, but besides them I was not a fan of this one. Let the shunning begin... Also, why is it so hard for people to find their reserved seats? At our theater you have to pick your seats so no one should come in wandering around. There were many people confused and moving seats which makes no sense to me. Our theater had lots of kids, but they were all very well behaved. There was one little boy that was singing which was pretty funny and it didn't last long. I did see his mom get up with him multiple times to walk down the stairs and around at the bottom a bit. He looked like he was maybe 3 or so.
This is completely unrelated, but does anyone know where you can get cheap, lounge chairs? I'm talking the trifold ones that are super cheap. I've looked everywhere and can't find any under $40. My mom said she got hers at Dollar General but it was a couple years back. This is what I want:

Are these not a thing anymore?

I’m not even going to see it (didn’t see Aladdin either) so I will be in exile too
Don’t need to close. You can have five of each. The difference between bluebird and serve is that bluebird can just be used at Walmart.
Looks like it is only available for in-store pickup in my area:View attachment 419058

Ah man. It's not my fault they won't provide me a lounger lol. I want them for the beach and I can't find them anywhere! They won't let you carry that into the movie theater
But no, haven't really see them in a decade. I'll keep my eyes open.
