Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. Dh & I have both gotten Citi AA biz #2 with #1 still open. Tons of DP's of people having more than 2 open. Citi really is so random :(

I know! It's so frustrating. It was our first ever denials too, and to be denied for something that seems so preventable makes me sad. I remember thinking, maybe I should cancel the cards first, but with the randomness of being able to to cancel via chat or not (because I hate calling in), I thought, eh, it's not necessary to cancel so I'll deal with that headache later. Now I'm kicking myself for not sucking it up and just calling to cancel.

For anyone going for...., make sure you cancel the biz cards you already have from here on out!

I applied for ... for myself and DH a little over a week ago. I didn't close ... for either of us, as I thought it wasn't necessary. Well, we were both instantly denied and my churning dreams were crushed:sad:.

I questioned if not closing the card was the reason for the denial, and I finally got my answer. Both our denial letters came and said the same thing: "We reviewed your application and can't approve it because: The business already has the maximum number of ... which we will issue to a business."
How soon is too soon to close?

You can request an Uber XL on the app and you will get a vehicle that holds at least 6 (typically a minivan that holds 7-8).
Tks. Still an Uber newbie lol I should just let the kids handle it ;)

I'd say the first part of can take some patience to get through. It has to lay the groundwork for everything that follows.

I just finished the first one. It took me forever to finish and it didn't wow me. I guess I thought it would stand on it's own more. Tell a more complete story, instead of just dragging out daily life in 18th century Scotland.

Thank you! I didn't even think of Golden Gate for Friday.

We land at 12:25 Friday. I was thinking leave SJC and hit up In-n-Out on the way to Disney. Looks like after Disney, the Bridge would be best. From there to Tonga (yes! that's the place). At that point, I don't know how tired we will be. We've never traveled more than one time zone in either direction lol This is a big trip for us.

I keep going back and forth on driving vs public transport vs a little of both. The various passes have me a tad confused. While not recommended, I was thinking the van over Sat morning and just paying for parking somewhere. That allows us to have a little freedom as needed, on our schedule. But, I'm not at all against public transport. I looked at the Hop On hop Off tours, but then read those are discouraged due to traffic. I don't see a tour of Alcatraz in the plan, but not against one of the boat tours that just goes out there. I'm contemplating a Go Explore Card for each of us as a possibility. The Go Oahu card is already saving me over $1K on that part of the trip.

You can walk out onto the bridge too. There's a sidewalk. I've only gone halfway but it gives you a good view. Will probably be windy. Someday I want to do one of the runs that goes across it.

This is why I've not closed any of my citi cards lol...hate calling and didn't seem necessary...I also had a heck of a time setting up both my and dh's first biz cards with the online accounts. I have this fear that if I close the card before opening the next one, I'll have to go through that all over again so I'd rather leave one card open. Not sure if that is accurate though or not.

When I was in 3rd or 4th grade we got such a bad blizzard/ice storm the city actually postponed Halloween. They had it like a week later. Then they encouraged people to take their kids to the newer neighborhoods like ours because the power lines were underground, and older parts of town were still having issues with power/downed lines and trees.

We had 500 trick or treaters before we had to give up and shut the lights off since we were out fo candy.

ETA: I apologize, I misremembered as a 7 year old. Halloween was not postponed, the storm was a week before but they city was completely shut down so they recommended people take their kids to the new neighborhoods.

We had halloween postponed also for an ice storm a few years ago. Best halloween ever for my kids because different towns had it on different days. So they got 3 halloweens that year. Ours, then went out with my parents in their town, then my brother and his family in their town.

New offer on my SPG bonvoy Biz:
30% back, up to $100 on Select Technology Providers
Expires 10/15/19, limit $100 in total statement credits

Includes: Adobe, Brother, Dropbox, Hubspot, Nextwarehouse, Newegg, Oracle, Rackspace, Sage Software, SAP, Symantec, Tiger Direct, Versatile, Webair Internet Development, and Zendesk.

Some of those have exclusions. Very useful for me for Adobe, maybe Dropbox if it renews before this offer expires (I wish I could prepay that) and then, of course, Newegg.

ETA: And I really don't care if amazon is listening to us. We are really not very interesting. 😉

Also what I was thinking reading everyone else saying they don’t want one listening to them. Lol. If you are the couple on The Americans or something, I can see issues, but we are pretty boring people. Would feel sorry for anyone listening to us. Haha. We have some weird dinner conversations and sometimes use Alexa to check other people’s facts. My DH is full of random useless info, but sometimes he is also full of BS so we like to check him on that. Lol Also useful for kitchen timers, sometimes music but we have a Sonos that sounds much better so use that mostly.

I felt that it did and am glad there’s a series that continues their story. I listened while driving around for work so I wasn’t compelled to do anything but listen. That may be a factor. Then again, I’m one of those people who enjoys the character development unfolding and the layers and connections from one book to the next. I think what I most appreciated was the feeling of being there and knowing these people. That takes time and I like how the author took the time to invoke that feeling. But we all have different preferences. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series coming out.

I still cannot add Amex offers to any card but the first one that comes up. When I change cards, I just get the spinning circle. Anyone having better luck today?

With AMEX should I wait for Annual Fee to post before I cancel. Trying to clean up old cards. Am closing AMEX Gold Business that was opened on 7/5/18 but fee has not posted yet. Is it Ok to cancel or should I wait?

Outlander was the first ebook I bought on my first gen kindle. I liked it also, read the whole series, usually waiting a long time for the next book to come out. For some reason, I had it in my mind that the last book was the end of the series. So I felt a little cheated when everything didn't resolve nicely for me and I feel like i've been waiting forever already for the next book. 😊

Okay... I did a search for Newegg and I realized that I can buy 1 - $200 and 1 - $100 Vanilla Visa E-gift... I need DGC for my trip in 3.5 weeks. what's the best way to maximize the Newegg offer?

What I have done is hit home, to go back to the balance page, changed cards on that page, then go back to offers. it worked earlier today.
Thanks, this is working for me! I was hoping I had the tech services (newegg) offer but not seeing it on any biz cards :(

I remember @SouthFayetteFan closing his cards right after he hits the MSR and gets his points, within two months or so of opening the card so he's ready to apply for the next card at the 90 day application timeline.
I'm a new passenger on the train. Thinking about hitting some more AA points between CIP apps. Is there no penalty/ danger to closing them right after hitting MSR? We just got all of our points into our account from our first cards this week and I'd love to cancel if this works.
