I hope this happens at wdw too but it seems the SWGE fans are holding out for wdw. I like SW but it’s not Disney to me and it’s not a big deal to me if I see it opening day or two years later. So I don’t understand why DLR is seeing such small crowds yet there seems to be lots more hype about it at wdw.

I think the hype will die quick for WDW honestly. The soft fall bookings are certainly pointing that direction. Dedicated SW fans already saw SWGE in DLR and there won’t be anything new in WDW.

I agree with your SO about miles and points being devalued. The only reason I'm "hoarding" at the moment is because I am planning a trip in 2020 and I have to wait a few weeks until I can book flights and hotels. Otherwise I'd spend what I have. Now that you mention it, I'll vote for DLP!

@speedyfishy I agree with this plan to use the AA miles at DLP. The Disneyland Hotel Paris is super expensive so if you can get it with AA miles, I'd do that. It looks so beautiful! We'll be there in 3 weeks (YAY!) and I used discounted hotels.com GCs to book a package then paid myself back with the Schwab cashout, but it would be a no-brainer if I had the AA miles.
I'm sure there will be some DLR discounts for Sep. I feel like they should be announced soon though. Whatever you choose, it will be special to be in DLR for your b-day!

We have walked up twice on a Saturday around 7 and didn’t have to wait long to be seated..so I would think lunch would be easier

They just had one last month, but it was really quick, I think only lasted a week according to reports on DoC. I remember seeing it on my account but we didn't need any BA points. Good luck!

Great, we're flying home on BA on Aug 9th. I just read that they plan to strike around the 5th! I had no idea!!

Geez, lowered a limit on a Chase card, and opened Barclays and my score dropped to 779. I haven't been that low in, I don't know, never?! Yeah, my Barlcays is at 32% utilization, but overall the utilization didn't change, because I have more left open on Barclays than the amount I lowered my Chase by. I know it's silly LOL, but annoying anyway. Oh and a couple inquiries from these business cards. Gotta get that back up!

I've been really watching the EVA FA strike, the airlines are pretty accommodating... although BA services is far worse than EVA.

I didn't either. The room was huge. I had a huge sitting room, that looked funny because they didn't really furnish it too well. I had a kitchen. The bedroom was actually normal size and I'd honestly say tiny. The bathroom was HUGE! But wasted space everywhere. It had a jacuzzi tub, with a shower head (no curtain or bar, or wall or anything to keep the water in if you used it) and then a TINY stand up shower. And all enough wasted floor space for a dance party, LOL

A couple years back we got there late one evening with our pop up that we had then. I've had 3 pop ups and many tents and have used both at Assateaugue. Parked the pop up and drove to the Francis Scott Key which had last minute rooms and ordered pizza. It was raining and blowing wind and sand hard.

Next morning was beautiful and we finished out the weekend actually camping. I've only camped on the State Park side. The National Park side is more rustic, ie pit toilets and more mosquitos - state may actually spray but I don't know for sure. I know they spray for mosquitos at Point Lookout. The State side has hot showers and very nice restrooms as far as camping goes. And the ponies come to both areas. Plus the camp hosts pick up what the ponies leave behind.

I haven't been able to camp at Assateague recently because no one wants to go and all the camping is a lot of work and more than I can do alone right now.

We’ll go camping with you. My popup is my happy place. Someone gave it to us 5 years ago and we remodeled/rebuilt it by learning everything on YouTube.

SWGE at Disneyland continues to knock the crowds right out of the park according to the Rumor Mill. They’re claiming a hiring freeze and budget cutbacks are being implemented immediately due to soft crowds at the parks and hotels...

Huh, I wonder why... Maybe because they are charging way way too much?

Me, too. Ya think that's the reason? Honestly I've seen prices skyrocket in the last 10 years while service has been on a steady decline but people just didn't seem to care. I guess they crossed the line this time?

I saw an article about that, too, but I'm looking for next summer so I figured they would come to an agreement by then (although AA has been fighting with their mechanics for almost a year now).
