Sister Wives, First Times and Lots of Wine/An Epic Girls Trip...Updated 8/13

This is the same gal that cut Marks hair on our last trip. She seems much friendlier in your pictures.
That's funny that you said that because she started off crabby. I also thought she was a bit scary at first. But, then she lightened up and all was good...

LOL it looks like sistr wife Kari @kastoney is cheatinf on you and Joe
Blasphemy!!!! Hee! Hee!

Carry's ? in St. Pete looks awesome.
Caddies is awesome!!! We try to go as often as we can while we are in St Pete.

Rum runner is one of my favourite cocktails. It seems to be more of a southern or tropical drink though because I rarely see it on the menu up here and I’ve asked a for it at a few places and they didn’t know what it was.
We always get an extra shot in it too! They are honestly STRONG mothers!!!! But, YUM!!!!

What a perfect day in St. Pete. I've been to Tampa a few times but never over there. But any place with a restaurant, bar, and beach is my kinda place to be.

I had no idea some Ruths Chris have sandwiches. I go to one in my hotel whenever I'm in St. Louis for work and they don't have anything like that. But they do have great happy hour specials that I like to take advantage of.

I love St Pete! Joe and I hope to move there in a few years...
The steak sandwich is part of the happy hour special in St Pete. They have an entire menu dedicated to happy hour and we try to take full advantage of it.

By the way, I thought Casey's performance was much better than the fireworks last night...Just saying...:D

Wednesday, May 8th...And Thursday, May 9th...

Joe and I slept in, got ready, then went over to my sister's house to pick up Gia. Julie had to go out of town for work and Todd was scheduled to work quite a bit of overtime, so we got to have Gia for 2 1/2 full days!!!!! We took her to Starbucks and then to Barnes and Noble to pick out a few books. I think we ended up buying her Cinderella and Tangled. Both were Golden Books. We spent the afternoon in the pool and had dinner with Joe's mom and dad.

On Thursday, we started the morning at First Watch. It's this great brunch place that I had been to, but Joe hadn't. We both started with a cup of coffee. I had scrambled eggs, toast, crispy potatoes, and Canadian bacon. Joe had pancakes and a bowl of cheesy grits. He's a sucker for grits...Everything was sooooo good. We already have plans to go back in September.

Then, we had a surprise for Gia. We took her on a dolphin cruise. We saw tons of dolphins, many in pods of 6-8 and she LOVED it. It's a very touristy thing to do in St Pete but we knew she had never done anything like that before and would really enjoy it. After the boat ride, we spent more time in the pool. Later that afternoon, we had to shower and get dressed, because we were having dinner with Joe's parents again. On the way to their house, we stopped to get Gia Chick Fil A. Joe's mom made homemade arancini and we knew Gia wouldn't eat it.

Next up, Friday, May 10th...How do we Spend our Last Night in St Pete???
I also started a new PTR...Check it out Here...Joe Stayed Home with the Cat, It's just me, Tim and Matt, a PTR...

Not bad! Pretty inexpensive for the service. :)

Ah. I don't even know how to put a video on YouTube, so.... I won't worry too much about uploading one to the DIS!

Suuuuuuuuuuuuper easy! It's a one-button option on an iPhone, IF you have a YouTube account. Which is easy to create.

They are a Southern thing, I think first developed in the Keys. They are so yummy!!!!

Breakfast looked yummy, Jenny! And how fun for you all to get to do the Dolphin Cruise! I also noticed the jellies by the boat. :)
OMG! Breakfast was soooo good! We love this place.

We've done this in the past (a dolphin cruise). We actually enjoy renting a boat and taking it out on our own, but this was fun for Gia.

:) That must've been fun!
We took her to Starbucks
Sure, of course. Kid's gotta have her coffee.

See?

That is one happy kid!

Good to know! I may never post a video... but if I do, I'll know who to ask for help!

What a wonderful day! Gia is so lucky to have you both. I remember being a kid and loved doing all the DC touristy things, but we only ever did them when we had family in town. We're trying to change that with Casey and often embrace our inner tourist.

They just put a first watch in by us but we haven't been yet. Now that it has your thumbs up we'll have to go

Maybe you'd like to embrace your inner tourist when Joe and I take Ali to DC?????? :cool1:

Honestly, it was soooo good. Give it a shot and let me know what you think!!!!

September Update...And, Friday was our Anniversary!!!:love2:

I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but we did officially book airfare for September (I think I did, but I'm not entirely sure). We are flying in and out of Tampa via Southwest Friday, September 20th to Monday, September 30th. We are actually paying $400. less than what I paid round trip for Matt and me in August. Isn't that crazy!!!!!! I don't understand how and why airfare fluctuates sooooo much on any given day... :confused3

But, that's not why I'm here...I'm here to tell you all that we added an extra Disney day to our trip!!!! Woot! Woot! Our original Disney dates were the 22nd to 26th. Now, we are coming in on the 21st. Joe had Hilton points that were just "sitting" in his account. So, after some careful investigation (on my part), I was able to book the Hilton Disney Springs for just over $100. for that Saturday night. #winning It just made sense to get there a day early because we have lunch booked at Hollywood and Vine at 11:30 on the 22nd. This way, we don't have to make the drive from Tampa and get up that morning at the crack of dawn (because we will already be there). And, I'm not sure how crazy HS will be with SWGE being newly opened. Sunday, we will be able to sleep in, grab breakfast, hop over to the Contemporary Resort, check-in, store our bags and grab a bus to HS without having to rush. Or, we can skip breakfast and just grab something at CL, since we will have that perk this trip. This makes me feel much more relaxed...

I'm also here to tell you that Joe and I celebrated our 12th Wedding Anniversary last night.:cool1: We went to Sullivan's Steakhouse. We started with cocktails. Joe had an Old Fashion and I had a rum drink called Summertime. Ok, I had 2 of them.:D Joe also had another whiskey drink with strawberries in it, but I have no idea what it was called. For our starters, I had the Ahi tuna and Joe had the crab cake, which was ALL crab, no cake. It was probably the best I have EVER had. I had a wedge salad and Joe enjoyed his Caesar. For entrees, I had the 8oz filet with a baked potato and Joe had the 16oz Wagyu with scalloped potats. OMG!!! These steaks were phenomenal and cooked to perfection. We couldn't leave without having dessert (which Sullivan's comped because we were celebrating). I had the Key Lime pie and Joe had the Nutella Creme Brulee. Holy cow, were these delicious!!!! We walked around a little after our meal and then spent some time watching Season 3 of the Americans. Good night, great Anniversary!!!! I love that man sooooooo much!

I will make time!!!!! Let's figure it out!!!! I think we will just be hanging around DS...But, no concrete plans at this point...
We'll be at AK until about 3:00 or so, then heading to the Poly to chill out with some pool time and Trader Sams and the Twilight Feast/room service that we'll probably take to the pool to eat. :)

Maybe we can meet up at Trader Sams for a quick cocktail...Or, maybe we can pop into AK for a quick hello. Joe's a sucker for Satu'li. I'll tell him we could have lunch there...
You're staying at the Poly, right????

We're at CBR for most of our trip and then the Poly for 2 nights at the end... cuz $$$$$. I'm actually looking super forward to using the Gondolas for DHS and EPCOT, since this trip will be heavy on those 2 parks. Then we're going to cut way back on our park time when we move so we can really spend time at and enjoy our big kahuna splurge at the Poly.

And yes, Satuli is where we're planning to eat lunch. It's my new favorite CS place for the food.
