Sister Wives, First Times and Lots of Wine/An Epic Girls Trip...Updated 8/13

Hi Jenny! I'm excited to join in to hear your take on the EPIC trip!

You had an excellent first Disney day! I'd love to do some progressive dining around Disney Springs - I feel like I never spend enough time there. We have several Blaze Pizza locations near us - apparently I need to hightail it over there and try it out!

I'm looking forward to hearing about your pixie dust. With your views appearing to be from a higher floor, perhaps you were bumped to club level? :-)

Do You all Really Want to Know our BIG Plans???

Ok, here goes...We didn't have long to wait and our EPCOT bus was pulling up...Epcot, what's so EPIC about Epcot you might ask???? Well kids, let me tell you...About a week before our Epic Girl's Trip was to begin, I received a PM from @chunkymonkey. She told me she had a big surprise and I needed to let her know when Joe and I were arriving and if we had hoppers and or AP's...We messaged back and forth for a bit and then she dropped the BIGGEST PIXIE DUST BOMBSHELL OF ALL TIME!!!!! Someone (who will remain anonymous, but knows we are all eternally grateful to her for such a magical gift) had gifted our group a VIP Tour with 2 guides. I was absolutely stunned, shocked, surprised...I couldn't believe it. This had been on my bucket list and something I never in a million years thought I'd get to experience. And let me tell you, it was everything I dreamed it would be and more. I immediately called Joe to let him know. He was as excited as I was and it was literally all we talked about up until the point of the tour starting. Then we kept asking each other if it was really happening. We were like little kids in a candy store...

During the tour, we were going to get to visit all 4 parks and do some of the biggest attractions in each park. So, the plan was to start in Epcot. We all met to the left of Spaceship Earth, I think by guest services, but I may be mistaken. @fallonkendra wa so sweet and passed out gift bags full of candy to each one of us. #loveher There were going to be 20 of us and 2 guides. Our guides were Jon and Amanda. They were wonderful, extremely patient with such a big group and very knowledgeable about Disney.

Once we were all accounted for, we were able to ride Test Track, Frozen, and Soarin'. We also stopped to watch the Blue Angels fly over SSE, which was really cool. One of the best things about this tour (and there were many) was that we never had to wait in line for anything.

Funny tidbit: I had never ridden the new Soarin' before so that was a first for me and let me tell you...The part where the eagle (I think it was an eagle) flies in front of you scared the crap out of me and I may have yelled something inappropriate. I immediately realized what I said and started apologizing. I had nothing to worry about because everyone in our group who was "soaring" with me laughed about it. #greatgroupoffriends

FYI, I did a horrible job of taking pics, because I was so absorbed in the tour. It was so special, and I didn't want to miss anything...

Next, guess who Joe and I got to meet in Epcot during our VIP Tour???? Hint, he's a pretty big celebrity...And, which park did we visit second???

:welcome:

Thank you very much for following along! Blaze Pizza totally exceeded my expectations and I hope to eat there again in August...
Nope, not club level this time...But, good guess.

I love Wilderness Lodge! Love looking at the photos! Can't wait to hear about your special day!

Thank you. I have to say, WL is my fav deluxe. I never get tired of staying there.

Wilderness Lodge looks gorgeous as always and what a lovely view. But OMG A SURPRISE VIP TOUR! Y'all lucky ducks. And lol I probably did the same thing first time I rode Soarin' Around The World with the eagle, except I'm not one to apologize. I'm the worst :teeth:

Oooo, a celebrity? I'm guessing Joe Rohde because I just always guess Joe Rohde and it just would seem right.

had the Dole Whip Moscato. We shared the fried mac and cheese bites. We loooooved everything
Mmmm! Dole Whip alcoholic slushees! I loved the mimosa version! I’ve heard the fried Mac and cheese is delicious! The brunch was fabulous!

We also split the Fontina in Carrozza-fried fontina cheese fritters, salsa verd, spicy marinara. This was heavenly
Lots of fried cheese! I approve!

I really need to take a moment though to comprehend the fact there is DOLE WHIP MOSCATO?!?! Wine Bar George better be ready to sell it to me by the bottle because I know I'm chugging all of that come June omg *insert heart eyes emoji*
It’s sooooo good! If you can, consider the Sunday brunch! Sooo yummy! Though the frozen dole whip options are available at the counter too!

Then I'll drag it out a little longer by showing you a bunch of bus stop selfies.
Haha-love how you are dragging it all out!

It was pretty hilarious! I wish I had gotten that part on video!

The brunch was fabulous!

This is next on my list. I've heard so many good things about it.

It was such an awesome surprise/gift that I feel the need to do it justice. LOL!

Hee! Hee! I'm terrified of heights, and I was having ride anxiety anyway, but that darn bird pushed me over the edge.:D

1 of 2 Celebrity Encounters at Disney:

As our Epic, VIP Tour group was walking towards Soarin' I caught a glimpse of someone familiar out of the corner of my eye. I asked Joe if he thought it was who I thought it was and he said he wasn't quite sure. So, he decided to go find out, by walking up to him, and asking him if his name was Michael. Next thing I know, Joe is shaking hands with Michael Shannon and waving to me to come over. You all may know him as Zod in Superman, Man of Steel, The Shape of Water, Boardwalk Empire, and the Waco Story...He was super sweet and asked us if we wanted to take a pic. Well, DUH!!! Unfortunately, Michael didn't know where the camera was, so it's not a great photo. So, how cool is that??? We also meet a celeb duo later on in the trip, but you'll have to wait a bit for that...:cool1:

WOW Michael Shannon?! Never would have guessed that. And I'm so glad you noted him in Shape of Water because he was so underrated in that. That's so great you got to meet him and to know how chill he is. Love the photo lol

Well, let's not forget some of us met in the EPIC bag check line before even making it to Guest Services :rotfl:

I was sad I wasn't sitting close enough to you to hear, but it was hilarious to hear about after the fact :)

Getting to be part of the VIP tour must have been beyond exciting!! Sounds like your start at Epcot was so fun- and how awesome to have met a celebrity too!!

I was scared out of my mind Jackie!!! LOL!

Wait until you see who else we met!!!!

We were finally in Florida and headed to our first resort, Pop Century.

See, you did it properly by starting at Pop and then moving over to a deluxe! We started deluxe, then ended with a value :sad2:

We started at Blaze Pizza. We shared a pizza with pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, black olives and mushrooms with a bottle of water. This was soooooooo good and we demolished it. The crust is thin and crispy and the toppings hot and delicious. What more could one want in a pizza???

I need to try Blaze! We have one about 15 minutes from our house, and still have never been to try it!

Next, we popped into Wine Bar George. Joe had a glass of red wine. I had the Dole Whip Moscato.

Yum! I completely forgot to try the Dole Whip Moscato! It was on my list and I was so excited for it, but there's just too many things I want to try when I'm at Disney!

Now it was time for dessert. We decided to give Amorettes a go. We shared the Sunset on Mile Marker 0,Key lime tart and meringue. This was one of the best desserts I've ever had. I don't even know how to describe it other than heaven on a plate...

Yum! I haven't tried the key lime tart, but I love Amorette's!

You two are just so adorable!

@fallonkendra wa so sweet and passed out gift bags full of candy to each one of us. #loveher

Hi @missjackiemcg !!

Still fuming I didn't get to go on the tour or see Michael Shannon. I couldn't place him when you told me and oddly we had Superman on over the weekend and I commented on how creepy he was :P
