Our First Evening Officially Begins...

AP's in hand, it was now time to eat...Joe and I had made the decision ahead of time not to book an ADR for this night, but to hop around from place to place. Instead of getting one big meal, we had also decided to do more of a progressive dinner and eat at a few places and share our food...Every place we went this evening was new to us, which looking back was really cool...We started at Blaze Pizza. We shared a pizza with pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, black olives and mushrooms with a bottle of water. This was soooooooo good and we demolished it. The crust is thin and crispy and the toppings hot and delicious. What more could one want in a pizza???

Next, we popped into Wine Bar George. Joe had a glass of red wine. I had the Dole Whip Moscato. We shared the fried mac and cheese bites. We loooooved everything and I plan on getting the Dole Whip Moscato again in a few weeks when I'm back in Orlando for my 50th birthday trip, compliments of my sister (yes, I managed to talk her into some Disney time)...Oh, and let me say that the mac and cheese bites were crispy on the outside and ooey gooey cheesy goodness on the inside. :P This has quickly become one of my favorite places on Disney property...

After WBG, we decided to try Enzo's Hideaway Tunnel Bar. Joe had some kind of fruity cocktail. For the life of me, I can't remember what it was and I had a glass of water. We also split the Fontina in Carrozza-fried fontina cheese fritters, salsa verd, spicy marinara. This was heavenly.

Now it was time for dessert. We decided to give Amorettes a go. We shared the Sunset on Mile Marker 0,Key lime tart and meringue. This was one of the best desserts I've ever had. I don't even know how to describe it other than heaven on a plate...

We then ended up taking a few selfies and spent the rest of the night enjoying the warm, Florida air...Hey, we left the 50's in Chicago. It still hadn't warmed up much before we left.

Next up, our first full day in Disney and oh is it a doozy!!!! You will never for the life of you guess the pixie dust that bestowed on us...:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Side note, notice the name of the red wine Joe ordered at WBG...HAHAHA!!!

What a great progressive dinner, I want all those items now, Ihave heard such good things about WBG, I need to try it. We love Blaze Pizza and don’t have them around here so we like going there when at DS!

Yay to AP, glad you are in this club, warning it is hard to leave this club, lol!!

There are so many great restaurants at WDW that it's hard to keep your favs AND add in new ones. We thought munching our way through DS would give us an opportunity to try a whole bunch of new places and it did just that...We don't have Blaze Pizza either and I'm happy to say that we wish we did because we liked it that much.

Yep, I have a feeling it will be a difficult decision once this year is over. We have already saved a lot of money and we've only had it for 2 weeks.

QUICK UPDATE: party:

Just wanted to let everyone know that Timmy just received his Disney College Program Alumni assignment for the next 12 weeks...He will be working custodial at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. He's really looking forward to going back. His bosses from MK have already reached out to him asking if he'd like to pick up extra shifts on Main Street to which he happily replied, "Of course.":Pinkbounc

We just started the process of picking up last minute clothing items for him and now need to start packing.

Joe and Tim fly out this Saturday evening. I wish I were going too, but at least I have 3 more trips planned this year (the next one in 24 days;))...They are staying in St Pete with Joe's parents and visiting with my sister, Julie, her husband, Todd and our niece, Gia on Sunday.

Tim has to check in to his apartment on Monday at 9:45 am. And there the journey begins...I will keep everyone updated with pics and news of his second DCP.

June Update:

Good morning! I just wanted to pop in to give you all a June update for my 50th Birthday trip...We are now spending 3 nights in Orlando and 1 night in St Pete, which means Jenny gets some Disney time. YAY! We are staying at the Rosen Shingle Creek from June 5th to June 8th and our last night at the Vinoy in downtown St Pete. My sister actually decided I would be happier if I got a little time in Disney, so she changed things around just a bit. I now get to do some shopping in Disney Springs AND she booked dinner for us at Narcoossees (I think Thursday night). As most of you know, Narcoossees is one of my favorite restaurants on Disney property. AND, we get to stay to watch HEA!!!! I am so excited! I honestly have the best sister in the world!!!

Hello! Joining in! Wow, you started this one off FAST. It looks like such a blast so far, the happiness is radiating out of every photo.

I really need to take a moment though to comprehend the fact there is DOLE WHIP MOSCATO?!?! Wine Bar George better be ready to sell it to me by the bottle because I know I'm chugging all of that come June omg *insert heart eyes emoji*

Glad to hear you managed to convince your sister to add a Disney day into that birthday trip. I had a feeling it was gonna happen, just knew it hehe That trip sounds like it will be the loveliest 50th ever!

Yay for Timmy finding out his location! I never even knew they had Custodial at ESPN, how fun! I just registered for housing yesterday and got to link up with all my roommates so I'm celebrating that while I have to wait out two more weeks until I find out my location ugh Thank goodness I can live vicariously through those May 13th and 20th arrivals. Bless.

Hi Timmy! First, let me say the Dole Whip Moscato is fabulous!!!! I cannot wait to have another one (or two) in a few weeks.

Second, YAY me for another Disney day... I'm also trying to convince Julie to do the 1 DAH that is offered while we are there...

Finally, my Tim just found out that by being located at WWoS, that he can be placed in DS as well as the parks if WWoS isn't busy...He's a bit torn about that. But, it's a short program, he's in Disney and he said he will just make the best of it.

Oh, he's also in Patterson for housing I believe...

You will have to let me know where you will be located when you get your final assignment. I would love to say hi during one of my many trips this year!!!:daisy:

I'm here!!! I totally missed that you started a new report and was just thinking this morning that I should check! You are always so on top of getting them going super quick! lol

I'm glad that your AP transition was smooth. I feel like now you have one you'll never go back! Those benefits are just too amazing to pass up! Even if just one of you gets the pass for the benefits!

Your first night's dinner sounds super fun. Definitely a good call on sharing things you could try more things at different places! I can't wait to try the Dole Whip Moscato during my June trip at brunch!

I'm glad your sister worked some Disney in there! haha I was slightly surprised when your birthday trip had no Disney haha glad thats changed!

Can't wait to hear more!!

Hi Cloe!

:welcome:

Thanks for joining! I have to start my TR's ASAP, or I will forget half the stuff we did...Hee! Hee!
I have a feeling I will always want that AP going forward. It has already been a HUGE money saver!!!
The Dole Whip Moscato is pure perfection! I would be surprised if you didn't like it. You will have to let me know how brunch is at WBG...
Yay me for more Disney in June. I'm so excited to eat again at Narcoossees, and of course to have some retail therapy time in DS.:Pinkbounc

Quick question...As an AP holder, what time can I officially get into a DAH event? Is it 7 or 5???

Ooooo. I support this 200%.

Finally, my Tim just found out that by being located at WWoS, that he can be placed in DS as well as the parks if WWoS isn't busy...He's a bit torn about that. But, it's a short program, he's in Disney and he said he will just make the best of it.

That's definitely understandable, but at least he has the potential to work in all 4 parks. I know sometimes that can be harder working at Magic Kingdom just because a) nobody wants to work there (seriously, no joke, everyone not at MK just doesn't like to work there), b) you sometimes give up a lot of hours to trade or c) they have extra training that makes it impossible for people to take your shifts (happened at the end of my first program for me so I never had a chance to pick up any shifts after a certain point :( ). He seems to have a good attitude so I'm sure it will be a fun program despite not getting the location he hoped.

Oh, he's also in Patterson for housing I believe...

Oooo fun. I'm probably not gonna get placed there. I'm hoping for Vista since I'd rather a cheaper option closer to the busses than the luxury option.

You will have to let me know where you will be located when you get your final assignment. I would love to say hi during one of my many trips this year!!!:daisy:

Most definitely! I'll probably announce it on my current TR when I get my itinerary in two weeks then again when I *probably* start my live DCP TR, if I don't preemptively chicken out of writing that.

Totally get it! I usually am behind on a previous TR so I just type it up separately haha

So with the AP you can technically go into the park at whatever time you want but technically the After Hours ticket will get you into the park at 7 :goodvibes
