Is it nice in there? Even though I have the membership or whatever through some of our premium cards I've never hit it up, lol. We always just get our Chick Fil A, eat by the windows overlooking the SW planes and runway and then head to the gate :)

Well since we are both super cheap :rolleyes1 I do like free food. haha I know you don't drink, but I super like my free drink, or two. :drinking1 It does help my plane anxiety. They also have bottled water and juice so I grab one of those for the plane too, sodas too, but I don't drink soda so not sure what kind of selection. Once we were there for breakfast, it is similar to a hotel breakfast. Cereals, eggs, fruit. Every time we have been there for dinner/lunch they have had the same thing, so not sure if it is always the menu or we just randomly have hit it, but it was soft pretzels, kielbasa type sausage and pierogis. And I thought they were pretty tasty. Also fruit/ and cheese/hummus and crackers type things. Plus some package chips and cookies. It is very tiny in there and a lot of people are business travelers so one person hogging a 2 person table is annoying. Is it better than Chic fil A? Maybe/ maybe not. But it is free! (Well as free as my $450-$300 travel credit AF is) The Orlando one is much bigger, but the time we went they only had prepackaged crackers/cookie type things I think maybe we were in between meals.

I have no idea! She said they maker her nervous. lol I guess it is good to be cautious, I would rather that than have her go hog wild with one. She knows I get a lot of them. She knows that is how I have paid for our last few trips. If she does do the Ecuador trip she will need to pay for it herself, but I don't think a CC will help her there. It is through school and she has to make payments by Venmo to someone. She is suppose to go to Canada for a week this summer but the room is paid for and I think they are driving up, so not really any help there either. I didn't mind paying for her gas when she was driving to school and practices as that was less gas for me, but now that she has a job this summer she will need to pay for her gas so I just need have her get the Discover soon. I don't like them paying gas with a debit card.
She can Venmo with a cc but would need to pay the fee. Depending on how much the SUB is, it may well be worth it. My dd18 will meet about 2/3 of the SW card MSR with her summer school tuition but the other 1/3, she will most likely venmo me and I'll send the money back to her through Chase. It will cost her about $25 in fees but the SUB is so worth it.

And yes, definitely good to be cautious! So many young people get into debt because they do go hog wild when they get a hold of a cc. My dd is a saver naturally so that's not been an issue at all. I have to encourage her to spend a little sometimes lol.

DD18 approved for a SW plus!! Went with the 60k offer!

jk! jk!

Congratulations to you and your baby!

True but I think Tottenham would have done better if they had stayed healthy. Kane injured, Dele injured. Trippier, Rose, Winks, injured. Son shipped off to S Korea to play for a while. They had a lot of key players in & out this year. If Harry Kane had been healthy the whole year, I don’t think Spurs would have ended in 4th.

Fair. But Liverpool trounced Barcelona with half the side on the DL! (although they did have most of their players healthy right up until that game) Lots of teams playing at a really high level this year - Man City played well and deserved to win the league, but it was sad that Liverpool lost out by such a narrow margin. DH doesn't care about Arsenal v Chelsea in the Europa final (although he will probably still watch it) but he's pumped about the Tottenham/Liverpool game.

The perks of being rich ;) haha! It seems on most trips we pay $15 or $20 for a quick bite on our way out. And on the way back we always go to Jersey Mike's - it's our tradition :) Seems like we average $45-$50 in airport food on each Orlando trip.

For all our trips this year, I have us flying out on United so we’re in the same terminal as the Centurion Lounge and two PP restaurants. That takes care of food and it’s one less thing to worry about. :)

Hey - weird question...anybody know what happened to @peel??

I was looking down through the DISchurners member list and her name caught my eye briefly and I remembered her Lightning McQueen avatar. Did a little research and she hasn't commented since Aug 2018 on the old thread...
Wow, wonder what happened to her!?! She posted a lot too. Weird to just stop.

does she have a debit card? if so tell her to treat a credit card like a debit card. this way she doesn't spend more than she has in the bank. I started off with a debit card and used it like a credit card and then as soon as I turned 18 applied for a credit card

if only swa would have PP lounges near the gates. We fly SWA only bc its cheaper than other airlines especially with bags
