I Found My Happily Ever After! A Jan '19 TR! + Bonus August TR *COMPLETED 12/2*

I fell behind like 5 pages!!! The DIS stopped notifying me. Ugh.

Glad to be back and all caught up :) I love that you went to Coral Reef just because of Full House and Boy Meets World--so awesome your waitress was able to point out the tables to you. I would have loved that!

I'm looking forward to spending one day at Universal in December before our Disney cruise!

Watching the gorillas was extremely exciting. They were just fed and were very active! We must have stayed there for about 15 minutes just watching them interact!
They really can be quite entertaining! I'm glad they were so active for you.

Sounds like a great morning at AK! I love NRJ! It is short but I don’t get all the hate for it. It’s so pretty and relaxing!

It was a nice morning! I agree with you about NRJ- I definitely don't hate it at all and find it so visually stunning!

That sounds like a lovely morning at AK! I'm glad Navi River Journey worked out for you - I look forward to finally seeing Pandora next year!

Ah, I love the trails. And the safari, too! Overall, AK has really grown on me in the last few trips. There's such a great variety of things to do there!

It was a great morning! You are going to love Pandora!

I agree about AK- there's definitely enough to do to make it a full day park!

I still have never done Gorilla Falls, even back when it was Pangani Forest I never did it and your pictures make it now a MUST. The little meerkats look too cute to pass up.

It's such a cool trail and the meerkats are the BEST!!!

Fun that you got to see such active animals! I think that's a perk of the cooler weather, they aren't just trying to rest in the shade when it's not so hot .

Yes, exactly! It was a very enjoyable safari!

I love to see Stella, I have been watching her grow for awhile now!

She was so cute!! I was very excited to see her!

I love the Gorilla trail too!

Can't wait to hear about your next adventure!

It's such a fun trail!

Thanks! :)

I love baby Stella! And watching the gorillas on the trail is always so much fun to me!

Baby Stella was sooo cute, I'm glad I finally got to see her!

A baby Stella sighting and one of the lions moving! That was good safari luck.

It was very good safari luck! And there may be even more luck to come... ;)

Awww what great pictures you have - and how sweet is Stella?! :lovestruc

Thank you! Stella was so lovely!

Glad your universal day was better this time around.

My husband is a patriots fan as well. And this is hilarious!

So FLUFFY!!!!!

Yes it was much better!

Hahah football is a point of contention between us- I'm a huge Giants fan!

So fluffy I'm gonna die!! :goodvibes

Baby Stella! :lovestruc

I'm looking forward to spending one day at Universal in December before our Disney cruise!

That's ok!! Glad you got to catch up!

Haha I am such a 90s kid!! I am so glad we went and I would definitely eat there again, I really enjoyed the food.

Ah you're going to have a blast on your Universal day!

They really can be quite entertaining! I'm glad they were so active for you.

I don't think I've ever seen them this active so it was really awesome! It was nice to just be there and enjoy watching them!

January 30- Some time in Asia!

We then made our way towards Asia!

We had some time before our EE FP so we decided to walk the Maharajah Jungle Trek. We saw one of the tigers but otherwise it was pretty quiet in there.

Then it was time to head to Expedition Everest! Kyle's name showed up on one of the boards!

One of my favorite rides and it did not disappoint! My hands look so funny in the ride photo because I'm wearing gloves :rotfl2: It was such a chilly day!!

Up next..So many characters!

Your PP pictures in front of EE are great. I love how in one of them you can see the cars going up the track.

Gloves at Disney seem so outlandish to me. I know FL has its cold days, but they're so rare they get forgotten.

The theming on the jungle trek is so pretty.

I love when my name shows up on those signs lol! It’s the little things

Gorgeous pictures! And I love your PP picture on EE! Kyle looks like he's having a blast, but also hanging on for dear life :rotfl:

Awesome pictures! I love that you manage to get all those pictures without any people in them! Very cool.

I definitely wore gloves a few times in January too. It was just so cold! I love the idea of EE but then I ride it and the backwards part makes me sick so I haven’t been on it in a while!

Ah, Expedition Everest. I adore that ride, too!

I also wore gloves back on our February 2012 trip. I only needed them once, but I was SO glad I packed them!

Thank you!

Haha I am sure it looks funny! I definitely saw how cold it was going to be some days and threw my winter stuff in my luggage just in case- I'm glad I did!

While I like the animals more on the Gorilla Falls trail, I do love theming of the Jungle trek more!

It really is the little things! It's a nice touch :)

Thank you!! Hahah he told me afterwards that he wish I told him where the ride photo was ahead of time :rotfl:

Awesome pictures! I love that you manage to get all those pictures without any people in them! Very cool.

Thanks! The Jungle Trek was so empty so it was nice to take advantage of that!

Fun, my name never show up on those things.

That's gotta be better than a hot day, right?

Hopefully one day you'll catch your name!

If dressed accordingly it's not so bad! I'm more of a warm weather person though so I don't love the cold!

I think you two are adorable. I love that you both had so much fun. You got some great pictures!

Aww thanks so much, that's so sweet :goodvibes We had a great time!

I always forget they do the personalized messages here!! This one is funny, lol!!

I love the signs in this queue! That and the ones at RnR!

I definitely wore gloves a few times in January too. It was just so cold! I love the idea of EE but then I ride it and the backwards part makes me sick so I haven’t been on it in a while!

YES! I was so glad I packed them just in case!

I can understand the backwards part being tough! It stinks that you have to miss out on the ride though!
Ah, Expedition Everest. I adore that ride, too!

I also wore gloves back on our February 2012 trip. I only needed them once, but I was SO glad I packed them!

I never imagined I would call a roller coaster one of my favorites but it's so good!!!

Yes this ended up being the only day I wore them but I was very glad to have them!!

I have to thank our uber driver that morning though for finding a way to make this fun for him! He mentioned when it's time to give our names, to use the name "Wakabayashi" because it's a real name that will be recognized by the system. Sure enough it worked and hearing ET say that at the end of the ride was HILARIOUS!

That's AWESOME!!! I'll have to tell DH that one for our trip in a few weeks. :rotfl: One time he went through and gave them the name Buster. E.T. dragged it out so that it sounded like Buuuuuussteeeerrrrrrr. We still laugh over that one!

He asked Kyle why he was a Patriot fan (because of his hat) and he said because he likes to win. Donkey didn't miss a beat and said "No, you like to cheat" and then said to me "Watch out for him because he's a cheater!". :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: Sorry, as a Saints fan I appreciate Donkey's assessment!!!

I ended up with the Grape Ape which I ate for breakfast the next morning and really liked!

Did the doughnuts taste ok after having them sit overnight? We were afraid they would taste stale so we always planned to get there early and eat before the parks for the day, but since we are staying offsite the next couple trips, getting them to bring back to our room to eat the next morning is an appealing idea.

At around 8:45 a CM came around and let us know that NRR may not be opening on time and they didn't have an estimated time. UGH! I was so annoyed! Kyle suggested we wait it out just a little bit and if it didn't open up we could bail. I'm glad we did because right at 9 they ended up opening the ride!

What a bummer way to start out the morning, but I'm glad it all worked out!

Looks like a very fun day in AK! We always seem to miss the Maharajah Jungle Trek, but I love tigers so we for sure need to do that next trip! We do really enjoy watching the gorillas though, so I bet that was fun getting to see them so active.

We had some time before our EE FP so we decided to walk the Maharajah Jungle Trek. We saw one of the tigers but otherwise it was pretty quiet in there.
That's just a lovely trail! I explored it for the first time in March and really enjoyed how peaceful and relaxing it is back there.

Up next..So many characters!
There are great character meets at AK! Looking forward to seeing who you met up with!

I just listened to a trip report podcast from the same-ish dates you were there and she was on Soarin at the same time as you when it was evacuated! It was funny because I was listening to her talk about it and kept thinking “why does that sound so familiar?” Then finally it dawned on me that it was your tr! :rotfl:

Great pics in Asia and PP photos.

You have so many shots without anyone else in them. It really must have been quiet in the Jungle Trek.
