I Found My Happily Ever After! A Jan '19 TR! + Bonus August TR *COMPLETED 12/2*

At around 8:45 a CM came around and let us know that NRR may not be opening on time and they didn't have an estimated time. UGH! I was so annoyed! Kyle suggested we wait it out just a little bit and if it didn't open up we could bail. I'm glad we did because right at 9 they ended up opening the ride!
I tell you... you plan and plan and make the effort to get there for rope drop. After all FP's have been made, that one ride you planned to do at Rope drop being down can really mess up your plans. I'm glad that in this case it opened and everything worked out.

Joining in! Enjoying your TR so far! So sorry about all the rain that first day. We had a day like that in January in Disneyland. We only made it a half day the weather was so miserable. Looks like your second day at US was much better! So sorry your DF got sick though on the ride. My DH got food poisoning for our Universal trip after we landed from Chick Fil-A, so I can empathize with having someone sick at Universal and not wanting to do rides all that much!

I love the ears you have on!

Glad Navi ended up opening quickly otherwise I would've been very frustrated also!

Your Universal time and resort exploration look so fun! I love resort hopping and exploring...it's always great!

Love Navi River!

I know, right?? What's even better is how it feels like a completely different area at night. I love it!

It was great day all around!

Me too, it's so visually pretty!

Yes! It's so cool at night!

Great first ride at DAK! Your pics in Pandora are so cute!

Thank you so much! It was a great start!

Glad you stuck it out and got on NRJ. Your pics in Pandora are cute.

I'm glad we did too! And thanks!

Oh man, I'm glad Navi opened up and you didn't lose much time waiting. That could have gone much worse had it shut down for hours!

Me too! It really puts you in a dilemma whether to stay or bail- I'm glad we made the right choice!

Oh I'm so glad! And I'm glad that his suggestion to wait paid off. I need to be sure to ride this one again in August... I've only done this one once! :sad2: But it is sooo pretty, and your lovely pictures reminded me how much so :goodvibes

I'm glad we stuck it out and didn't immediately leave! I really enjoy the ride, it's so gorgeous and lifelike!

What good luck to stay put in the line! That line builds to so chances are it would have been a long wait a little later!

Tell me about your ears, I can’t quite tell what is on them, very cute!

It’s always fun to get Pandora pictures!

Exactly! I'm glad Kyle convinced me to be patient!

Thank you! They have Minnie Mouse & dreamcatchers/feathers on them. One of the pairs I made. Here's a closer look :)

I can’t wait to check out pandora! I was prego last trip and totally skipped it, husband went and loved it!

I may spend 2 hours just looking around!

You're going to love it! Such a stunning area! You definitely can spend a long time just wandering and soaking it all in!

Thank goodness Navi ended up opening on time for you. It's a beautiful ride but definitely not worth the crazy waits if you don't ride right at open.

Yeah I don't know if we would have ended up riding it apart from RD so I'm glad it worked out!

This is so pretty!!

I was surprised by how much we all liked NRJ too!! matt and I actually picked it as our FP over FOP for June!! (although I'm going to try to get on FOP on our late night at AK, lol!!)

I agree with you - Pandora is always so impressive!!

Thank you!

It stinks that you have to pick between the 2! But riding FOP late at night is a good idea! I still want to walk in the standby queue one day!

I tell you... you plan and plan and make the effort to get there for rope drop. After all FP's have been made, that one ride you planned to do at Rope drop being down can really mess up your plans. I'm glad that in this case it opened and everything worked out.

EXACTLY! It's moments like that that make the planning really stressful! I was relieved it worked out.

where did you get that black mickey shirt you have on on your AK day? I love it!

Thanks! I got it at the Disney Store back in November- it was part of the gold mickey mouse line that had come out briefly for the 90th birthday.

Glad Navi River Journey opened up for you. That would have been so frustrating if it wouldn't have!

I was so nervous! I'm glad it ended up opening and it didn't ruin the start of our day's plans!

Thanks for joining in! The rain on the first day was such a bummer- you can plan everything about these trips but you can't plan the weather!

Oh man food poisoning on a vacation must be horrible! :(

I love the ears you have on!

Glad Navi ended up opening quickly otherwise I would've been very frustrated also!

Thanks! That was a pair I made myself :)

It stinks when you have everything planned out so perfectly and something threatens to ruin those plans! I'm so glad it opened up right away!

January 30- More of our Animal Kingdom morning!

We then headed to our next stop- the Gorilla Falls Trail!

Watching the gorillas was extremely exciting. They were just fed and were very active! We must have stayed there for about 15 minutes just watching them interact!

After that it was time to use our Safaris FP. It was a pretty good safari and we even got to see baby elephant Stella!

Up next...Off to another continent!

Sounds like a great morning at AK! I love NRJ! It is short but I don’t get all the hate for it. It’s so pretty and relaxing!

That sounds like a lovely morning at AK! I'm glad Navi River Journey worked out for you - I look forward to finally seeing Pandora next year!

Ah, I love the trails. And the safari, too! Overall, AK has really grown on me in the last few trips. There's such a great variety of things to do there!

I still have never done Gorilla Falls, even back when it was Pangani Forest I never did it and your pictures make it now a MUST. The little meerkats look too cute to pass up.

Fun that you got to see such active animals! I think that's a perk of the cooler weather, they aren't just trying to rest in the shade when it's not so hot .

Glad your universal day was better this time around.

When we started to make our way out, we saw Donkey was meeting so decided to meet him. What a great decision! He was hilarious! He asked Kyle why he was a Patriot fan (because of his hat) and he said because he likes to win. Donkey didn't miss a beat and said "No, you like to cheat" and then said to me "Watch out for him because he's a cheater!". :rotfl2:

My husband is a patriots fan as well. And this is hilarious!
