I'm sorry your day at IOA was full of rain and sickness, but I'm glad you had a wonderful day at US to somewhat make up for it! I'm glad you enjoyed Escape from Gringotts - it was my favorite ride at Universal! It's too bad you didn't enjoy your meal at the Simpsons food court - I thought my Krusty Burger was pretty tasty, but I was last there a few years ago.

The Festival of the Arts looks so fun!

I also loved wandering around AOA and really enjoyed Landscape of Flavors. I'm glad you thought the same!

When we started to make our way out, we saw Donkey was meeting so decided to meet him. What a great decision! He was hilarious! He asked Kyle why he was a Patriot fan (because of his hat) and he said because he likes to win. Donkey didn't miss a beat and said "No, you like to cheat" and then said to me "Watch out for him because he's a cheater!".

We got back to your room around 8:30 just as the Star Wars fireworks were going off at DHS. We could see a little bit from our balcony!

Sounds like a great second day at US. Sounds like you guys really lucked out with the crowds which is nice.

I love the Cars area of AoA. That's the section I stayed in and it was so cute!

The sunset with the WDW sign is gorgeous!

That’s one of my favorite things about staying at Pop- super easy to walk over to AoA. We found we like their food court a lot more than Pops!

It was such a pretty site to return "home" to!

YES! I really love their food court and it's nice to have that added option!

I've only walked around AoA while staying at Pop once and it was in the dead of the day when the heat was awful! I really need to walk around there at some point!

Oh gosh it does get SO hot during the day! It was really nice to see it at night!

When it was at Universal Hollywood we'd always change up our names. My brother was really into Austin Powers and tried to use "Goldmember" but it came out as Goldie...

I can relate... getting older sucks. The rides are still awesome, but I've pretty much made it part of my daily routine to take a full dose of Dramamine when we're doing parks.

A of A is so perfectly themed! We've stayed there twice and loved both of our visits. I love how you can walk from Pop.

I completely agree! I hope to stay there one day as well, but it's just a nice bonus to walk there if you are staying at Pop!

The theming really is spot on!!

Walking around Art of Animation is always a great way to wind down after a day in a park. The walk across the bridge is usually really peaceful; not sure how it was with the Skyway construction, though.
Plus, you can't beat having additional food options just a short walk away!

Even with the construction, it was still super peaceful! We were the only ones on the bridge and then when we got there it was just as quiet! A nice relaxing way to end the night!

IoA wasn't the best day but our day at Universal did make up for it! The last few times I was there, I really enjoyed my meals in Springfield. It was disappointing that it wasn't the case this time around!

I recommend the Festival of the Arts! A lot to see and do!

It was a crappy way to start the trip but things quickly turned around! Epcot was one of my favorite days!

January 30- Animal Kingdom

We got into the park around 8:30 and they were already letting people in.





We got all the way into Pandora and there was no holding pen on the bridge so I wondered if they had already opened FoP. We got into the small line of people waiting fo Navi River Journey.





At around 8:45 a CM came around and let us know that NRR may not be opening on time and they didn't have an estimated time. UGH! I was so annoyed! Kyle suggested we wait it out just a little bit and if it didn't open up we could bail. I'm glad we did because right at 9 they ended up opening the ride!

We breezed right through and were on the ride by 9:10.







I wasn't sure how much Kyle would enjoy it but he actually really liked it! He was super impressed by the Shaman at the end..but then again who isn't!

We walked through Pandora for a few minutes. It never fails to amaze me!

I was surprised by how much we all liked NRJ too!! matt and I actually picked it as our FP over FOP for June!! (although I'm going to try to get on FOP on our late night at AK, lol!!)
