This doesn’t sound good (EMH going away?)

There's some good reasons for this to be happening - all those Halloween parties, moving resources to DHS, etc. And while they're not equal, having them add am EMH is a nice compromise. But what's getting me is not the people who are used to (and love) PM EMH not having them anymore. It's the families who are planning their first trip (or first trip in awhile) who are looking at the Disney website to help them plan. EMH are heavily advertised and when I go to the EMH part of the website I see PM EMH at Magic Kingdom as part of that. For families who are on the fence about staying on-site, that might push them to stay...only to find that the thing that was so heavily advertised won't actually be offered when they are there.

Definition of entitled: feeling that you have the right to do or have what you want without having to work for it or deserve it, just because of who you are.
Definitely a lot of entitled people in the world and definitely an overused adjective nowadays.
But calling people who stay on Disney property for a premium with the promise that they get perks in return, and then who complain when those perks get taken away, an entitled bunch just because some see no problem paying extra for those same perks and expect those "entitled" people to just shutup about it?

Am I allowed to complain about the actual reduction in park hours in comparison to a few years ago? Or am I just being entitled?

I was going to ask this. Are there now more EMH in the morning?

Not sure why being entitled & just complaining are such hard concepts to grasp. If you think Disney or anyone OWES you (collective) something b/c you somehow deserve it, that’s entitled. If you think it sucks that things have changed, that complaining.

Entitled would be thinking someone owes you something you haven't paid for or earned. Sorry but paying outrageous prices for a less than premium room means they do in fact "OWE" me something. They are taking away a perk for many many people and still charging the same amount. Trading a p.m. EMH for an a.m. EMH is not even the same thing. And they well know it. So what can you do now? OH! Now for the low, low price of $$$$ you can PAY for something that used to be free! And you don't see an issue here?

I do wonder is there anything that Disney could do wrong in some people's eyes?

But it’s only taking away a perk if you already booked. We are only entitled to perks in place at the time of booking. But, for some, as has been stated, more morning hours is an added perk that they didn’t have before. Disney probably knows this. So for every guest who is upset about this change, there are probably just as many, if not more, who don’t care, don’t know or prefer the morning change.

As far as Disney “doing wrong”. This is not a moral issue. If at anytime I become dissatisfied with the product, I will stop going. That is what everyone should do.

ETA: Off topic, but an example that I do sometimes think what Disney does sucks. I feel for all those ppl who got stuck with SWGE opening unexpectedly. Some are happy, but many have expressed they specifically chose that time b/c Disney specifically said that it wouldn’t be open til Fall. I think those ppl got screwed (although some are happy) out of the type of trip they booked.

and you'd be whining.....

It's disney..you're supposed to smile and say Thank you Sir when you fork over more cash for less product.

Or anyone can just decide not to go. If you think you’re getting screwed — or even if you don’t think it’s value — anyone can choose to take it out of their life.

If so, call me entitled...

Also for thinking that if I pay more, I should at minimum get the same experience as before......

Where else in the world are you able to think that? That’s literally the case with almost everything in the service/entertainment industry, that things used to be cheaper and you used to get more while paying less. Movies cost 12 bucks, a large percentage of great TV comes from pay services. It’s a normal progression in almost everything in the world; I don’t know why WDW should be exempt.

B/c that’s what Walt wanted.
