Trial Club Level Fastpass+ Purchase Program Planning & Discussion

Greetings,
I spent some time reviewing the thread and I am hoping you can confirm what I think I read.

-this paid option no longer provides reserved seating for nighttime entertainment
-you can only have a fast pass (paid or standard) per ride per day
-tiers don't come into play
-fast passes can be in multiple parks
-the DSS folks will also book your regular 60 day fast passes when they book your paid for fast passes (90 days from check out date)

Am I correct so far?

Also would it be possible to have something like this booked?

CLUB LEVEL FAST PASS (CLFP) 9:00am-10:00am Test Track

CLUB LEVEL FAST PASS (CLFP) 10am-11am Soarin'

STANDARD FP (SFP) Tower of Terror 4:30pm-5:30pm

CLUB LEVEL FAST PASS (CLFP) Slinky Dog 5:30pm-6:30pm

STANDARD FP (SFP) Rock N Roller Coaster 6:30pm-7:30pm

STANDARD FP (SFP) Alien Swirling Saucers 7:30pm-8:30pm

Yes, that all sounds correct and your itinerary looks like it fits all of their criteria! The only thing I would mention (and I think you know it, but just in case) is that the tiers don’t matter for the CL FPs, but they do for the 3 regular FPs for that same day. Yours fit that, which is why I figured you knew...

thanks so much. I appreciate the tip about the tiers for the standard FPs.

Would anyone consider doing a day of CLFP when the crowds are estimated to be low/moderate (about a 4?) A Wednesday at DHS. That's the one I'm on the fence about, my only concern is it comes early in the trip and when I get to the 60 FP window, might not be able to get SDD. But I'm not sure that ride is worth $250!

WWYD?
Yes because your 4 is likely to not stay a 4. I was there recently and all my 4s turned to 5-7s. It felt super crowded and lines were greater than 30 min for most things including small world, barnstormer, etc. I'm pretty good and modifying and refreshing and there really wasn't much available so I think it was worth having extra fast passes even with moderate crowds.

I agree. It's also our only day at that park, so I went ahead and got the CLFP.

Just got a call back from the DSS folks. The woman was beyond nice and patient with the questions I had. She did make it a point to say that the program is still in pilot mode and "could be discontinued at any time" although she had not heard anything about this happening. I gotta be honest, this is the only reason I made the upgrade. If this program goes away I will move back to a standard room for sure. Our 90 days is in MAY for an August trip so I am hoping we don't have any issues. Will share our experience with this group as it unfolds.

I was told the same thing last week that it is still in the test phase and could be discontinued at any time. There is no indication it will be but they are careful to state that. We are going in August also.

New to this thread, so forgive me if this has been asked - Can I book just 2 nights at Club Level as long as I buy 3 days of tickets? So arrive Sunday and depart Tuesday, but have tickets for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday for example. I wasn't sure if you had to book 3 nights.

Over here praying two Hail Marys and an Our Father that the end of August partial Star Wars opening doesn't derail the Club fast Passes. Luckily we go before the opening (our dates are Aug 12-17) but we are really hoping to use this trial program.

AGREED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be SO upset if this ends now that our trip is secured for November.

Same here, I have a trip planned for Nov 17th-23.
I honestly am just as excited to ride MMRR and had hopes for CL FP for that.
There has to be a reason for the "trial" right? Sure hope it sticks around!

I talked to DSS today (pre-announcement.) I was checking on my CL paid FP+ date, and asking about whether the program would still be available for my Oct. trip. They sounded optimistic and gave me my date. They did note (as they have in the past) this is a trial program.

My personal feeling about it is they are trialing it specifically for SW:GE. If anything, I expect them to start advertising it, rather than canceling it.

We know that when rooms go on sale, there are usually steeper discounts at the Deluxes- so those rooms probably fill up last or they wouldn't offer such big discounts. This program allows Disney to lure SW fans into more expensive accommodations at literally no cost to Disney itself. It's a brilliant idea, actually.

Rumours regarding CL FP have been around since the beginning of FP+. I think it was always in the plans but rolling out MB and FP+ was not smooth and it was probably wise to wait until things were running smoothly to add another wrinkle. If Disney is making money and filling CL rooms they will continue and the SW:GE crowd will pay a premium. That said, I have 3 trips planned within the year and all have back up standard room reservations.

I did notice that Disney's announcement included "Disney FastPass+ service (at Disney's Hollywood Studios) will not initially be offered at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

Yep, that's why I am curious to see what they do, if anything, with this program. It was one of the reasons I booked a CL stay in hopes to use it for SW, but like I said, I still want to use it for other rides besides SW.
If it stays, wouldn't it be great if they offered something special for CL FP peps for SWGE :genie::cloud9: One can dream.

We have a trip booked last weekend of September. I had done the club level with the idea of extra fast passes.

Will there still be the option for club level guests if regular fast passes are not offered on Star Wars rides?
