Why did MDE let me book FP well before 60 days?

I do wish they’d fix this. 1) It’s unfair to those who have to wait until their legitimate booking date. 2) All this testing, logging in and out over and over again to exploit a glitch is only putting more of a load on a system that’s bad to start with. I’ve voiced my complaints via email, for all the good that will do. My challenge when booking at 60 days is not availability for the most part, it’s getting the website to function.

My window opens tomorrow, fingers crossed that the website is functioning! Right now, availability is looking very good.

FWIW the website worked just fine this morning. Hopefully it continues for you tomorrow.

Glad to hear my FPs should be fine. I am really happy with how everything turned out. I was a little worried that with such a short trip (only 4 nights) I would not be able to get what I wanted.

I’m going to hope the glitch still exists in a few days when based on these reports I might be able to book. Though we have date-based tickets so who knows. I have a short trip (2 nights) and want to hit FOP on 60+1 and SDD on 60+2 ideally no later than about 1pm-ish. We’ll RD for SDD if we have to but if I can avoid the madness, that would be best!

The glitch isn’t working for everyone

But anyone who has linked tickets and an onsite or DSprings resort booked should check 75 and 74 days prior to their check-in date to see if their FP booking window is open.

Does anyone know why it’s even showing as 75 or 74 days? Is anyone typically able to book at that point and somehow it got switched to others in the system too?

This is heavily discussed in the thread on the Rumors and News board. Posters complaining over there are now posting their same complaints here.
Disney to cancel FPs if room is cancelled

This glitch thread is to alert and assist posters with this glitch as they plan their stays and book FPs.

Thanks for reporting the hard close for checkout dates when 1 Resort Stay is involved.

Faux “Leading Reservations”-Split Stay#1 into actual stays are open and some with true Split Stays have reported the window is open through checkout of Stay#2.

Nice to research off of a Disney glitch rather than book “research stays.” ;)
Yes I am doing a split stay and my window is open then entire stay for both.

I just checked the availability to book FP at over 60 days, but less than 75 days. For everyone in my group that had "undated" tickets, I could initiate FP selection. For everyone that had "dated" tickets, they were not available to select for FP reservation. So, I guess I'll need to wait until the 60 day mark to reserve my FP, and I hope that this "glitch" doesn't make the FP availability significantly worse.

You can always book now for those with open FP windows then, Add Guests to your FPs when the dated ticket windows open.

Another option if Add Guests isn’t successful is to book overlapped FP windows for the dated ticket guests.

My sister and I both have APs and we were unable to access FP+ before the 60-day window this morning--we both tried several times. However we had absolutely no trouble booking every single thing we wanted, including the choice of loads of times for FoP on arrival day, May 1st.

When you were not able to book did it keep saying you didn't have tickets or they weren't linked? My mom's does that with the new date based ticket but mine lets me book the next 30 days. I'm just trying to make sure there isn't an issue with her ticket linked to MDE and me.

A variety of things happen. That is one of them. Another thing is the current calendar comes up but with nothing highlighted because my tickets are not good for those dates.

Good for you! Same here, but I really didn’t try to book early, just looked once when this came up to see what I saw. Mine was this morning. I even messed up and had to log in on another account to book fp’s and still got everything, including FOP and SDD on multiple days. And I don’t have to wonder if they’re going to stick.

Just an FYI, make sure you can book for a minor. lol My daughter manages my grandson and I didn’t realize I wouldn’t be able to book him on my account, even though we are linked. Lesson learned! lol

My official FP 60 day window for my package opened today and all my previously booked FPs remained intact. :cloud9:

I took the day off work today so I could book all my FPs but didn’t have to afterall! Well, there is a snowstorm here so I guess I didn’t have to commute in that mess!! :scared:

Are you leaving them as is? Were there still good options and less glitching?

I had no problems booking for two minors that are managed by their parents when I did fastpasses for our group. If you're linked, it shouldn't be a problem.
