I got a few updates behind.....

We had a leisurely morning, I actually slept in until almost 9am

I've got a few of these days planned for our October trip. I figured it would be necessary since we will be there 9 days.

The new bus times on the MDE was such a plus to us this trip.

I really like this new feature! Of course I left my room so early each day that the app just said "every 20 minutes". Hopefully it will be better in October.

WOD is still under construction

I still can't decide whether I like the new look or not.

I want these coasters!

Those are just awesome! I think they are going on the list for end of this month.

For those of you reading along about our epic Dis meet trip in May

I so want to come for this trip but with four trips this year, I need to take some time off next year to do other stuff.

It was time for our Safari FP, I wasn’t sure it would be running with the rain.

I think this one runs in the rain unless there is thunder and lighting.

The nice CM comes up to us and says SDD is having technical difficulties and they have no idea if and when it will be up running, what oh no!

Oh no!

SDD was still down at 7:50, we would have wasted 1 hour in line. I was feeling better about our decision at this time.

Whew, glad it worked out even though it sucks you didn't get to ride.

I emailed and was directed to a different TA, to later find out my TA died unexpectedly 2weeks ago!

Oh no, that's so sad.

So this is my dilemma folks, what do you all think?

I love going in January because the crowds are not too bad where as in March you are running into the start of school breaks. Of course weather in January can be dicey. We had some pretty crazy cold days when I was there this last January. Come to think of it though, one late February/early March trip I did was pretty cold too.

Love all of the Photo Pass pictures you guys got. I was so lazy with them during my August trip.

First off, end of March is really expensive even with this TA special. I did go online myself and was able to find a 35% discount with the current Disney Visa promotion for GF theme park view room. It is actually less than the quote for BC from the TA. We really wanted to stay at an Epcot area resort so I am torn. My sister will need to buy a park ticket and I want to get this done before the prices go all crazy in mid October! What should this frequent Disney traveler do?? There is not anything available with the Visa discount for any of the Epcot resorts for our dates. I did book the GF for now. Now to throw another wrench into the scenario, Andi tells me she has the whole month of January off, wait what girl!! I am now looking at dates the end of January except I don’t have approved vacation yet for this time and not sure I will get it! Ugh! I am torn, January would be much less expensive, less crowded, and airfare is much less, so probably a better choice except I have to wait and see if my vacation will be approved! So this is my dilemma folks, what do you all think?

Hmm, I think if you can get the dates off, it may make more sense to go in January. You will be able to do Festival of the Arts, while you will also get a chance to see F&G in May. And cost is always a factor!

After the ride, we had some pictures done with a really nice photographer, he did a magic shot, we have never had the opportunity to do yet yay! It is so cute!

Thank you so much for all the fun comments, I sure enjoy reading all of them! Well, my sweet Andi was home for a quick hi this weekend. It was so nice to see her. She looks really good and is enjoying school. She has met some really nice friends and says she loves it there so far! Yay, makes this mom proud! It was hard to say goodbye again but I will see her in about 1 month.

So nice!! It is great to have our university students home for a visit! I am so happy to hear that Andi is loving everything and making friends! Jack is home this weekend for Thanksgiving and has a week off towards the end of October as they prepare for midterms.

We decided to get a few pictures at the popsicle wall before going back in and riding again!

We decided to get in line to meet Woody and Jesse next. We waited about 15 minutes. This was a fun meet and greet. Jesse liked my Jesse themed magic band.

We decided to meet Buzz next and get a picture with Woody at the front of the TSL. SDD was still down at 7:50, we would have wasted 1 hour in line. I was feeling better about our decision at this time.

Definitely a much better use of your time, you accomplished a lot!

I would keep your current March reservation for now until you find out about vacation. Make a January reservation too and you can just cancel the one you don't need. That way you are covered either way.

Very sad for us! I did get a better deal with a better TA in March so I have that booked, it’s at BC, I also booked the play, stay, and dine for January just in case I get the time off and we want to go then, this is at CS. I thought I can use the tickets for our AP’s this August!

Sometimes in a picture I see the resemblance, I definitely see it in pictures when I was younger!
Usually I have no trouble booking a trip especially with my TA, so sad he passed away! I did get a better TA from this agency who actually knows what she is doing and booked a trip for March at the BC, the other person was adding 8 day PH plus for all of us that’s why it was so expensive, yikes!

It was so nice to see Andi last weekend and I talked to her and my son at length today, such nice visits on the phone with both of them!
Our TA was so awesome, it was a shock. I knew something was wrong when he had not emailed yet, he was so prompt. I thought he had left the agency, I never dreamed he had passed! So sad.

Update on the winter trip. I have a new TA and she is much better than the first one I was assigned to. The first one was adding 3 park hopper plus tickets to the price and adding to much for 3 adults. I knew something was off, there is no way this agency prices have ever been more than Disney. I am now booked for 7 nights in March at the BC, I really wanted YC because I will be at BC in May but YC was not available. Our March dates are 3/23-3/30. I also booked the play, stay, and dine deal for January, just in case! This was a good price for 7 nights at CSR. I figured I can use the tickets to buy AP’s in August if I don’t renew earlier, otherwise I can use mine in May. My AP expires in May and I am not sure if I will renew. I think we will do the EMM for TSL on this trip and a tour in AK, just not sure which one yet! That is my news on the winter trip. I do have several ADR’s in place for both time frames now as well!

Back to August and DHS. Andi and I had a really productive morning so far, we did 6 character meets, 6 attractions, shopped a little, and had some drinks from Starbucks. The kicker is, it was only 11:00 at this time! During our wait for Woody and Jesse, I was able to move our MM reservation up to 11:40.


We did the Muppets show before lunch. It was so wonderful to get in the AC and I love this out dated and corny show! We always check for the key under the mat, and sometimes there are stickers under there as a little prize. We sat by some people who loved this corny show as much as we do, such fun!


We went the short distance to MM to check in after The Muppets. I drank several glasses of water in the lobby to perk me up. I DO NOT suggest going all morning from 6am-12pm without any sustenance. I was not feeling the greatest, I was hungry and getting hangry! We were seated very quickly, yay! The only problem with this is our waitress was nowhere to be found for at least 15-20 minutes and by this point I was probably hangry!

This was me, Andi was scared, lol!

Finally our waitress came over and I’m sorry to say she was a disorganized mess. We ordered everything at once because we knew it was going to take some time. We went with the Crispy Calamari with fried peppers, onions, and dipping sauces for our appetizer and we decided to share the Wood-grilled Chicken and penne pasta. This has a house made 4 cheese sauce. Thank goodness the bread and our drinks came out fairly quickly so I could eat a little something. The bread wasn’t the good focaccia I remembered from before, just rolls. The rolls tasted delicious to me at the time! Really these were just standard Disney rolls.

Next up was the Calamari, this fell a little flat for me. It wasn’t as good as last time and only had one dipping sauce not the three like before. I thought I had a picture from before and I can’t find it now. The sauce wasn’t as good and the calamari was almost a tad over cooked.


The pasta dish came out and this was very tasty, we ate all of this!


We were ready for the bill and our scattered waitress was no where to be found, it took over 20 minutes to find her and get the bill squared away. I do like this place and will give it another try but this visit was not the best.

Feeling better after food!

We were so ready to get back to the resort for a little rest. Andi made a FP+ for Princess Hall at MK for later in the day. We would head there after a rest! We got a bus back fairly quickly! Our early morning now a memory! Time for a nap!

I love the corny Muppets show, too!!!!! The Muppet Christmas Carol is my favorite version of the tale, and I wish there were more Muppets at Disney. I know they have Rizzo's, but I wish there was a really good muppet-themed restaurant that brought out the spirit of Jim Henson.

My husband and I enjoy Mama Melrose, though we know it can be hit or miss. Your food choices look good, though.

Muppets is one of my favorites too! With my new job - apparently dressing up for Halloween is a theme and the theme this year is Jim Henson - so I'm going as Janice.

When you are hangry, I don't think anything helps especially when there are delays. Glad you got bread quickly even if your appetizer was just eh.
