Mickey's Halloween Party and Halloween Time Superthread 2018!!

We won't really know what costume he's wearing at MHP until after the first party, but last year he was in his wizard costume at the Toontown pre-party. I can't recall if he was meeting guests during the party (I saw him on the raft and at the good-bye show in his Pirate costume, but neither of those times were M&G). During the day, he wore the pumpkin costume in DL and a devil outfit over in DCA.

Thanks, figment_jii! I realise I didn't phrase my question well at all...I asked about what he wears at the party, and it's actually because I want to see him in his pumpkin costume (so I need to plan if we should go into DL pre-party). :)

Is there any benefit to scanning your party tickets into the app? I started to do so but noticed that you can assign a name to each ticket. I started to worry that when I scan in our park tickets upon checkin, this will create a conflict with the number of tickets attached to the app at one time.

Is there anything Halloween related at the Grand Californian this year? I recall some kind of spooky tree creation in the lobby a few years back.
I was wondering this too! Our arrival night i'd like to start feeling the Disney vibe and was considering a lobby tour.

Our MHP tickets loaded automatically on my app after purchase. The names I assigned at purchase are the names assigned in the app. Check your app to see if the tickets are already there. The tickets were not in DH's app, so he scanned them in on his own.

Does anyone know what costume Donald Duck wears during the party? Does he wear his little pumpkin outfit during the day and the devil outfit during the party?

Hmmm. Mine did not automatically show up there. I guess I will scan them in just in case.

How did you order your tickets? I found that when I order tickets online and am signed into my Disneyland.com account, the tickets automatically load into the App. However, when purchasing tickets over the phone, they did not load into the App.

I don't recall seeing very much in the way of Halloween decor at the DLH or PPH and I don't think the GCH had a confectionery display last year (were they undergoing a refurb?). There were some banners in DTD (and window displays).

I guess I wasn't signed in when I ordered them. Whoops. When scanning in regular park tickets, do you also assign a name to them? And if so, does it now to group the Halloween ticket and park hopper tickets together under the same name?

My tickets automatically showed up in the app after I ordered. Do you know if that is all I need to get into the party? Is there a physical ticket I'll need to pick up at guest services first?

Thanks!

Nope. They will give you a physical ticket at the gate after they scan the e ticket.

Hey everyone!
Anyone have an idea how many tickets are available for each Halloween party? I'm going on 9/26 and I just wondered if there was a ballpark of how many people are there on a sold out night.

Also, as this is a Halloween thread, have you guys been reading about the goodies and stuff for Halloween this year? This is my first year doing Halloween at Disneyland, it's my SO's first time at Disney in ages, and it's our favorite holiday. I can't wait to try the treats and spend too much money on cute knick knacks and decorations! I'm especially excited to get one of the cauldron popcorn buckets. That looks adorable!! What are you guys looking forward to?

Nobody knows how many tickets they sell, or if it changes year to year. If you're wondering about crowds, I always tell people that the Halloween parties seem to be more crowded than they actually are, as people are more likely to gather in public areas, rather than on rides.

I can't believe 2/3 the 3 days that were open this morning are now sold out. :faint: Just bought our tickets for 9/19! :woohoo:

I did order the tickets online and was signed in to my account in order to get the AP discount. It was a surprise to find the tickets ready to go on my app -- convenient, but a bit of a "Whoa, how did you get there?" moment.

As the pp said, just show the CM at the gates your MHP tickets (either on your phone or a print out) and you'll receive a paper ticket in return. The paper ticket can be used at the FP machines if you'll be in the parks during the early entry party hours. I printed out our tickets just to have a back up copy in case our phones get moody on our party day.
