Holy cannoli ! That's pretty awesome! I hadn't seen that chart before. I think that deserves a spot on your Wiki page for future reference, if you haven't already, for taking the time to update it. Hopefully it won't change too much when SPG turns into Starriott (or least we can hope you have to add new lines rather than erase them :) ).

It's also mind blowing to see all the programs charted out like that. Intellectually I know there's a ton of major airlines out there but since I only hear of a handful at any given time just had no frame of reference for the enormity of the space. And the fact that just 4 major rewards programs covers a huge percentage of it :)

(also nice to see that my loathing of Citibank isn't hurting me any yet, haha)

I got my first Amex credit for Exxon. And someone on the swagbucks thread pointed out that Exxon falls under swagbucks local so I linked by spg biz and hopefully will get another 2% back on fillups. Need to figure out the speedpass app.

Duh, I don't know why I thought it was AmEx you couldn't link to SB local. It's Discover, or at least it was when I tried last year. But when I was looking at the Exxon page it only listed Visa in the 'card accepted'. So I don't know if that's accurate or only Visa's work for the promotion. I had got excited and thought I'd go out of my way for 10% + 2%, but then saw only the Visa logo and (mistakenly) thought it was my AmEx that wouldn't link before. Can't hurt to try though, right?

i updated the new one on our reddit's wikipage.

Don't you still have the Sapphire double dip, CIC and CIU to tap for more URs?

Yep! DH can double dip any time I just don’t want to downgrade his CSR until I book whatever we decide we are doing at the 1.5x rate. Neither of us have a CIC/CIU yet, and I can DD the sapphires next July.
I need to repeat that all to myself when I get anxiety about spending my points.:sad2:

I was beginning to think I had mistyped my Starwood acct number when I transferred DH’s points to my account but they are finally there. It happened at a snail’s pace. I think even USPS could have gotten them here quicker. Now to wait for his bonus to post so I can transfer those also.

I'm jealous of everyone's Lowes offers on their Amex. I just got Staples and I think the closest one is almost an hour away, I have never been to one before. I have not had any good Amex offers since I got my card.
Ha. Don’t be too jealous. I just drove 30 minutes to Lowe’s and their machine only let me buy $100 in gift cards. It declined activation on all my other ones and made me go to customer service for a refund. Total waste of my time and now I need to find more MSR Stuf.

Airport experts, would you prefer to fly in/out of Denver or Albuquerque? Prices are similar (I will be flying Southwest because I have funds that need to be used before September). Denver has slightly better flight times, but is an hour farther from where we actually need to be (will be renting a car and driving into the New Mexico forest). I'm thinking that as a larger airport, Denver will be more of a hassle (security, car rental), so I'm leaning toward Albuquerque. I have been in the Denver airport before but only to make a connection, never as a final destination, and have never been to Albuquerque. Anyone with experience at one or both airports?
I know you already decided and got other feedback but wanted to share. I just flew through Denver on a Sunday morning (9ish). The regular security line snaked around for what looked forever. We were going through the pre check line and that was under 5 minutes. We went through Denver last year early in the morning and the lines were very long as well. Good choice with the smaller airport, I think the lines are always shorter.

Just an FYI, I see there are some DPs on Reddit about the Hilton Amex Biz and problems with being given a personal card despite applying for a business card. Several people have reported that when doing a dummy booking on Hilton's website to generate the $50 statement credit, the person will apply for a business card and be approved for a business card (even receiving an instant number to use) and are sent a personal card and the card is appearing as personal on their credit reports. I did the booking on Hilton's website (actually made a real booking) and the $50 statement credit business offer and received a business card, but just something to be aware of. Might just be better off using a support link or applying through the regular website if you're worried about this!
I did the"fake" booking to get my offer and made sure I clicked on the business tab. The default seemed to be for the personal card. Just got my card today and it is the business card.

How long did it take?

Maybe Chase will see it. I'm not sure how exactly a shared car fits into that "ebay side hustle" he's got going on. Trips to the post office I suppose.

ETA - I should have read the rest of the way through to see he'll use it for "business". The comments on this thing, they are totally fanboying and it's kinda gross.

MMS wouldn't be the first major points and miles blog to advertise Plastiq earning 3x UR on the CIP. Frequent Miler has a few posts about it, including iirc in their Plastiq article. I don't think DoC has explicitly covered this feature, although he's hinted at it and you can find DPs about it in the comments and the Payments Workshop. But I don't think this kind of exposure does any good, especially because the author's use of the CIP through Plastiq to buy a car is of questionable "business" purpose.

I just got approved for a Disney Premier Card. According to the website I earn 2% in Disney Rewards Dollars on card purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and most Disney locations. Does paying your Disney Resort count toward the 2%?

Thats weird. I bought more than $100 this weekend.

Yes it does, but if you would like, we could help you get more lucrative cards than disney...cards that will get you to disney for free.

And was it really worth it assuming he paid the 2.5% fee?
Disclosure: I didn't read the article.

TL;DR: He paid 2.5% fees of $1,471 on a payment of $58,857, earned 180,985 UR points, which he figures is worth $5,000 if he transfers to Hyatt 1:1 to book something like the Park Hyatt Maldives or to UA for business class tickets.

He didn't even bother to redact his name, the last four digits of his card number, the Plastiq transaction ID, or the date of the transaction.
