I love credit cards so much!

Do you use a hub account?

Discover is my main account. ( I love the interest rate for my emergency fund and 1% cashback debit card is great if I can’t use credit.)

But for PNC I knew Chase codes as a direct deposit so I moved from Discover to chase and then to PNC. I think it makes sense to have a few different accounts if you can so you can easily trigger direct deposits.

Waiting for my CIC denial letter is so annoying. I just want the letter already, so I can decide if I'm going to call or not. Ugh.

I've been reading up on the experiences here from those of you who got tickets through Chase Cruise and Tour Dept. I'm debating on whether we should use our UR points for our room in October or use them for tickets and pay cash for the room. We're planning to upgrade our tickets to APs again, so I'm trying to work out the math and see what would be the better option. Has anyone here successfully used tickets from Chase to upgrade to APs? I'm assuming it should work fine since they tickets would be coming from Disney, but I was just curious if any of you have first hand experience.
I will let you know in a month. I bought 3 day base tickets for 4, (3 Disney adults, 1 child) from chase using UR points. Paid cash for our room at POR. Will be upgrading them to AP's in June.

Those that upgraded their Marriott cards, when did you get the new card in the mail? Mine still isn't here and I am hoping to cancel it by the end of the month. I am thinking I should just use my current card to make a small purchase soon to be safe, since the number will be the same.

I got an email today that my new card was on its way. I upgraded the very first night when @calypso726 told us the link was live :) It seems others on r/churning haven't received their new card yet either.

Thank you!
So to make sure I don't screw this up...

5/16 open discover account, deposit $15k
5/17 transfer $10k out
5/18 transfer $10k back in
5/19 open Citi account and transfer $15k from discover to Citi...let sit 60 days/bonus received

....and I get $600 from this? (400 Citi/200 discover)

Yeah, but external deposits from banks don’t post right away. So your timeline is going to have some gap days while the funds are in transfer. And you probably will have to wait 1-2 days to confirm a trial deposit. But essentially you got it.

I have a feeling I'm going to be cooling my heels here soon until the Fall, and just focusing on maximizing my everyday spending... So these posts have me super excited to turn my attention to bank account bonuses! haha

No confirmation here either. Wouldn't be the first time that I didn't receive the email, but the credit showed up a few days later. Hope that will happen this time.
I don't see anybody mentioning getting an email or the credit yet. I've also had it happen where the credit shows up a few days after the charge. The longest I waited for one was a Total Wine offer, no email came but the credit posted like 2 weeks (3 weeks? it was a while ago) later.

I kicked BofA to the curb today. They previously denied me for the Merrill Lynch card (I actually was "approved in error" and they rescinded their approval 10 days later...grrr). They also denied my recently for their new Premium Travel card. Both times they cited that I had a sufficient relationship with the bank already and wouldn't budge. Sooo now I have no relationship with their bank, LOL! I closed my checking and all 5 open cards my wife and I had.

I have been a little upset for awhile about it but I finally decided to pull the plug today because I also want to clean up our credit reports a little bit. Less open accounts, less high credit limits, and hopefully less risk of a Chase shutdown.

I like Ally and have no complaints. It isn’t the highest interest you can get, but I don’t have to jump through any hoops to get the 1.6% they currently offer so I am happy. This also doesn’t give a bank bonus. It is just my hub account for our EM fund.

OK, I did it! Step 1, complete. I set up the ally savings and have some of our EF transferring over. Once that posts I will move onto the first bonus acct...Discover, then Citi, then Memory. Thanks guys! This stay at home momma can make some money after all!:worship:

Well now you make me doubt myself. I pressed the little up arrow next to the comment and it stayed lit, so I assume I upvoted both of them...

OOHHHH, those big arrow I overlooked before. Got it! Upvoted as well.

Doesn't it feel good when you do something just because of the principle of the matter. I tend to prove my point (hold a grudge) about things like that too.

YEP :D I really should have done it the first time. That approved in error was a load of crap. They implemented their own version of a 5/24 rule but their computer couldn't handle it so they approved people for cards. Then sent letters 10 days later rescinding the approval. I put in a CFPB complaint but that went nowhere except wasting a bunch of times on phone calls with some girl trying to "resolve my feelings". Well resolve this...I don't have accounts anymore.

Don't know if you were following along in Reddit but there's a couple recent DP's on your quest for TR Diamond match being honored in Baltimore.

Couple days ago Here (just show picture of poster) and 1 day ago Here . And probably more, but I was trying to just skim. That's the trouble with Reddit, so much to read and such interesting topics I have a lot of "Squirrel!" moments :) This one caught my eye and hopefully this time it was at least helpful to someone. https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/c...wyndham_are_giving_diamond_status_to/dz0bfbd/

Not sure how long the promo will last. It's unusual to match a Gold to Diamond but I'm assuming it's because until recently we didn't have any MLife properties in AC. I think the Borgata being added to the program is a recent addition (like within the last year) so there's a status war. I didn't realize it was until recently when an AmEx offer popped up for MLife properties and I saw it listed in the terms. My base level MLife card has been gathering dust since our last Vegas trip oh so many years ago but we may have to take it for a spin because we heard nice things about Borgata (expensive but nice).

I have several companies I am still boycotting due to service. One was stride rite. My 12mth old son's sandal broke after only wearing it a handful of times. They didn't have a similar style in his size anymore and would only let me exchange it...basically for other shoe styles I didn't need. Never shopped there again...my son is now 8.

Thank you! I haven’t been following alone, because I still haven’t gotten my card yet. I hope I get it soon. Thanks so much for linking those posts.
