Airmiles Shop the Block Earn up to 2,000 Miles

Sorry just trying to catch up with this. Do we need the booklet in order to use the coupons or is there a way to download them or print them?? Sorry, I need gas after work so this would be awesome if I could start. Thank you!!

You can print them from the website ShopTheBlock.ca -- and I definitely recommend printing them before you get gas. I tried to use a Shell gas coupon this morning and the guy couldn't scan the coupon from my phone.

I picked up a booklet from Sobeys today and I noticed that there are way more coupons on the webpage than in the booklet.

I've done 3: Foodland spend $60, Foodland Deli Meats, and Shell spend $50.
Not bad for a few days! When you only have local access to a Foodland. The kids have appointments tomorrow morning, so I'll hit Sobeys for the Tia Rosa and Herbal Essences. I'm going to send the kids through with DH's Card and my daughter's, so we'll do them a few times. Even if I only get in 3 or 5 offers on the secondary cards, I'll be happy. But I know I can hit Shell again during the promo (we do a lot of driving, and I put about $50 in the van every week anyway.
Waiting on the airmiles shops black friday to order a few stocking stuffers for the kids (guitar picks, ipod chargers etc) and that will be done too.

I also hit 4 Foodland coupons out of the Little Book of Bonuses. I love how it says get 50 if you use offers from 3 or more partners, 11 coupons are from foodland, one from staples and the last from jiffy lube which is over an hour away! My van has a service plan with Dodge, not thinking I can talk dh into driving an hour for an oil change! lol

Oh yeah, mine was like that too! I will only ever go to my local mechanic, so I'm definitely not getting that bonus. Although, I noticed that my booklet had an extra little bonus offer that wasn't in the online version of my LBB: I get 88 bonus miles if I use all of my Sobeys coupons before Dec. 31. That one seems doable... I just have to use two spend $55 coupons and buy fresh cranberries, yams and croutons.

Just a reminder to everyone to do one or possibly two extra coupons in your STB just to make sure you get your bonus in the end. Far easier to have an extra one they can use to count your 7 coupons in case they have an issue with one coupon in particular.

I plan on using the spend 95Cash get 25AM and $10 off coupons for my extras (just in case).

Jacqueline, maybe you could add this tip to the first post.

Just a tip for scanning barcodes on mobile phones (not specific to STB): make sure your screen brightness is turned up to 100%.

Something interesting to note. My STB coupon for Shell just posted to my account. It says "shop the block promotion" in the description area. If they all post like this it will be an easy way to confirm usage of a coupon. My LCBO posted with the name of the wine in the description. If they all post like this there will be no need to do those extra (just in case) coupons.

I picked up my last STB item today.
Nice bottle of spanish wine (LCBO) that I am sure my (secret santa) neighbour will enjoy.
Yes I am tempted to maybe ask one of my sons to get an airmiles card and Shop The Block again.
Hugs Mel

That's too funny because I was just thinking the same thing. My oldest DS has a card and I was going to ask him to hand it over and I would get him at least 1000AM but probably 2000. Why not they are out there for the picking.::yes::

If i wasn't bone tired I would be seriously considering getting a second card because this promo looks easy but I haven't even got one offer done myself! I made a detailed list on the bus this morning, cut out all my coupons and made a memo on my phone attaching reminders to my calendar so i don't miss catching an offer. I even spent some time staring at Google maps to see if i can find an Urban Fresh in Toronto that i can hit up before heading home and found one that has a Rexall attached --- serendipitous doncha think???!!!???

That will be a birthday treat to myself next week

  • Cash in some cash miles to get an e-card for The Bay -- BOOM 1st StB coupon
  • Hop on the subway after my hospital visit, look at the Christmas windows at The Bay, go in and use the above e-card -- BOOM 2nd StB coupon
  • Wander thru the Eaton Centre and stare at the 100' tree on my way to the Urban Fresh & Rexall
  • Buy at least 1 $50.00 dining card at Urban Fresh & 3 chocolate bars -- BOOM 75 AM and 3rd StB coupon
  • Head into Rexall and spend $60.00 (got some LnG offers finally!) --- BOOM 100 AM and 4th StB coupon
Thanks for helping to keep this thread current :D

Ok
BIG question here
If I use a coupon say for
3 chocolate bars at Sobeys as an offer
can I also
use the same 3 chocolate bars at Foodland as an offer?
Would this qualify for two offers?
Thanks
Hugs Mel

I would think the answer to that is a hard yes since it is two separate coupons and unlike the "my Offers" and the coupon booklet AM mailed out both stores are NOT mentioned on the coupon
Here's one from My offers (forgot i had this one, I'll be taking a cooler bag and buying some cheese next week as well :P)

Thanks Hon
I am going to give it a go
My son :guilty: just got a card online and I am trying to figure out which 7 offers we (I) am going to make.
Thanks for the info

I went to Sobeys this morning. I had the STB coupons; printed coupons (not STB) from AM's website to use at Foodland/Sobeys; and the Sobeys' APP offers.

$104.29 pre-tax = 281 miles. Below won't add up to $104 as I also purchased other non air miles groceries.

Sobeys APP - ML chicken strips on sale for $5.77 get 15 (I purchase 3 but only 1 was awarded the AMs)
Sobeys APP - miracle whip $4.49 get 7
Sobeys APP - spend $90 get 25
STB #1 - TM Fajita Kit $4.99 get 10
STB #2 - Spend $100 get 60 miles
STB #3 - 3 cadbury chocolate bars $2.49 each get 20
STB #4 - HE shampoo & conditioner (orange) $3.99 each get 30
Printed coupon - dempster tortilla $2.99 get 7
Printed coupon - CB old cheddar cheese $4.99 get 7
NOT printed coupon but relates - use 3 coupons in 1 transaction get 10 ***
Flyer offer - 2 bagels & 1 raison bread $2.99 each get 30
Flyer offer - 2 pita pockets $2.99 each (plus dempster tortilla above) get 30
Flyer offer - two 18 packs Quaker instant oatmeal at $4.99 each get 20
In-store offer - chipit semi-sweet chocolate chips $10.99 get 5
base miles 5

*** I actually meant to use 4 coupons but forgot to pick up a Philsbury crescent. I didn't realize until I got home and read the fine print I had to use ALL 4 coupons in ONE transaction to get 25 miles. Hence, only 10 for using 3 coupons. So I lost out on 15 miles for a product we use all the time. :( Oh well.

3 more STB coupons to use. I'll use the Rexall on the 20th and the 2 Shell.

This is brilliant! I can hit up a Sobeys downtown on my lunch break and stop in at Foodland on the way home!

******** I'm just now glancing thru the flyers and found a bonus in the Foodland one!!! They have a flyer offer for (get this) CHOCOLATE BARS! Buy 4 of the same bars you need for the StB coupon and get 25 AM on sale for 2/$5.00

Sorry hubby, we will be heading to a Foodland sometime this week :P
