OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2017 THREAD

Leaving early tomorrow morning can’t wait to be reunited with my youngest DD. My other DD and her family have been there since Monday. Grandkids are enjoying their first visit can’t wait to see them.
Sitting here enjoying my mani/pedi before I have to do laundry and pack. Did I mention I hate packing

My shirts from Etsy just came. Woohoo! I have to try them on when I got home. I also bought some stuff from ON and tried jeans on yesterday that are a size smaller than what I normally wear and they FIT. They fit comfortably not like I had to squeeze into them. I hope they still fit by the end of the trip. lol

I plan on snacking a lot. For snacks I like the Cronuts in the refreshment port in Epcot, anything from Karmalle Kuche (in Germany), chocolate covered smores from the Main Street Confectionary, ice cream cookie sandwich from the Plaza, nachos in Mexico, and all of the Disney popcorn I can get my hands on. There's a lot of things that we want to try this trip like school bread, cheeseburger eggrolls, and a carrot cake cookie. This trip we are going to do way more snacking than other trips. Last November we had 13 snack credits left and I'm making sure that doesn't happen again.

Just got back from my 9 day trip to WDW. Such an amazing trip! We had never seen the holiday decorations so that was really fun to see!! MVMCP was amazing!! It was very crowded but we made the most of it and still had a wonderful trip. We heard people talking on the bus about the crowds. Someone said they were giving up on early fall trips because of hurricane season and another said the crowds were worse Jersey week than during last year’s thanksgiving week. We had fast passes and didn’t have to wait long for much. We actually threw most of my plans out the window once we were there. We kept our ADR’s but so many things opened up while we were there so we decided to change things up (peter pans flight had fp’s open the day before and Rivers of Light opened up!). We were also able to make some of our fp’s earlier and make 4th and sometimes 5th fp’s. The only day we had unbearable crowds was our HS day which was the second day of the Christmas stuff and Veterans Day observed. I’m so thankful for these boards and all of the planning we were able to do! It made me realize with a basic plan set, even if it changes, Holiday week crowds can be conquered! Monday-Wednesday was also much less crowded than the week prior.
The weather was also absolutely beautiful! A little chilly for us Southern Californians, but it was nice.
Have fun on your current/future trips to those who haven’t gone yet! There is so much magic there with all of the Christmas decorations! Even in the crowds the cast members were completely amazing! So many compliments to send in!

Welcome Back

Great to hear you had such a wonderful trip. With F & W and Jersey week early November can be as crowded if not more so than Thanksgiving week.
As long as you have a basic plan in place anytime can be a great time in Disney.
Can’t wait to see the holiday decorations especially the castle that’s my favorite.

So we're six days away now and I'm having a pretty big issue. I have a 550 ADR for CRT on 12/1. I didn't want to leave the park afterward so I bought MVMCP tickets for the family. Now I'm concerned that we'll be super late to the party and have to wait over an hour to meet Moana. I'm thinking about canceling the ADR since we're already doing thanksgiving at Akershus. Any thoughts from the Disney experts out there? Should I cancel or just roll with it?

So I just found out on another thread that the Magic Express is picking up 4 hours instead of 3 hours before your flight. That totally ruins my beaches & cream reservation I had for our last day. I am so sad. We were all looking forward to eating there for the first time.

I️ would call and ask about that! Last June we left 4 hours early but yesterday we left at 3:55pm and our flight was at 6:50. It might depend on the day and time :)

The 4 hours does seem a little extreme. It won't be too bad for us this trip but May our flight is a 6:30am departure so I'm going to look into doing uber or a towncar to the airport unless I can find a later direct flight. Right now there isn't one that will work for us.

View attachment 283670 Please indulge me I know this is off topic but just had to share one pick my DD sent me of my 18 mo old DGS. To me this sums up the joy of being in Disney.

So cute!!! They both look so happy.

@cusegoose We did an Akershus and a CRT dinner last year and it was princess overkill for us. Well at least my son and husband thought so. It didn't help they were back to back nights and pretty much the same princesses besides Belle that was just at Akershus. Maybe you can get a late lunch CRT if one pops up. I know that's easier said than done.
