DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Happy Friday. A long day. Went and paid the taxes on one of the vehicles and then to eye doctor for annual checkup. They did the drop to dilate them, and then I went to work at the church. I could hardly see for two hours, even with the sunglasses. It was terrible. Spent 7 hours at the church office getting the work done. Not sure exactly what I typed for the first couple hours, so there may be complaints about new theology I posted in the bulletin, sign out front, etc. The priest offered to take all the staff out for lunch today because it is my birthday tomorrow. Things ended up not running on schedule, so the office staff ended up at the rectory eating leftovers. My gift was some leftover turkey, tomatoes, and figs grown in the yard.

So, for my birthday, I had to pay taxes, was blinded for two hours, and got leftovers. I'm ready for a do over. Home now. Ordered pizza. DW brought home beer. It's go time. Have a good weekend everyone.

Cocktails? I haven't called it yet. That's at 4AM your time tomorrow. Jeff might have to be there till 5AM.
.......

You never heard of a cocktail of meds? Man, there is a whole world I could open up to you. :lmao:

I would have called it earlier, but I now have a massive project from the boss on her last day at home. She needs a Oogie Boogie man made out of Play Doh. Stat.

Sounds as productive as my day.

Welcome.
Looking up useless crap is my stock in trade (as you've encountered a few times before).
It's why Norm calls me "Stats" (and fairly earned, so I can live with that one).

And because you did all those page 1 stats of all the multiple thread posts.

OK boys. That's it. I'm calling it. Work week over. Everyone out. Last one in the La Cava del Tequila for, well, a Tequila has to take Mrs Incredible home. And let me tell ya, she's proper bendy. Darcy, enjoy your weekend away, Mike it was obviously very nice of the Cubs to give the Cards an extra few weeks off. Saints & Dolphins at Wembley on Sunday. Hawksmoor tomorrow night, so good steak to be had.

Mrs Incredible is definitely a fantasy. All the flexibility has to be good for something. I'm drinking Cabo Wabo tequila.

Good news.
Old enough. Beer and pizza are in order.
Too young. Money and pizza are in order.

That's dinner tonight. Pizza and beer. Dos Equis Amber.

Not a fun time.

I've had worse.

Not a beer drinker. You can have my share. I'll have an extra slice of pizza, though.

Morning guys. Poured yesterday and all last night. Sun just rose and it looks like today is going to be better.

Nephews busted their butt yesterday and I now have a back yard and a clean but slightly battered deck (the railing is mostly gone).

Backyard went from this...

Happy Camper.

And NORM! Have a Happy Birthday today.

Good news.
Old enough. Beer and pizza are in order.
Too young. Money and pizza are in order.

Beer and Pizza were provided plus I gave them a little cash.

Good Morning Dads! DW and I made a quick trip to WDW last weekend (we have AP's and we're not afraid to use them) and was able to meet up with the Lost Commando!

That is a blast from the past. How are things Randall?

Hope everyone has a great Saturday. I'll be on the couch watching football all day. Gators play the 'Doors at noon. Hoping for more offense.

Happy birthday Norm!!!!
:cheer2::cheer2::drinking1:drinking1party::cake::cake:

From the future even. Thanks Dan.

He still has his flip phone and notebook...

There's Ron. Haven't heard from him in awhile.

Thanks CBO.

Thanks CJ. Yard looks way better. I hope you chipped in for some good beer. Get it - chipped? :sad2: :lmao:

Top O the Mornin Dads! Happy birthday to the big guy Norm! Nice pic from our CBO and good to see you are getting things a bit back to normal CJ. Same here as Rob reported fall temps teasing us but gonna get back in the 80's again this week - it's October? Dan enjoy the NFL game over there and to all enjoy the weekend and GO CUBS!

Happy Birthday Norm!

Thanks.

Morning gents.

Well, crap.
I woke up half an hour before my 5am alarm... and... that was it. I'm up.
Then again, the guy on the midnight shift that I relieved an hour early was pretty happy about it.

Hope everyone else got some sleep!

Morning gents. After the rain the last couple of days, today looks to be sunny and hot. Dolphins play this morning over in Dan's neck of the woods and I hope they play better than the last game. Going to run a few errands before kickoff. Good win for the Gators last night, so this weekend is looking good.

Today is also move out day for the Pirate Princess. She is going a couple of miles away to share a house with some fellow grad students. She really can't afford it but she is a grown up and will have to deal with it. The best news is THE MUTT I DID NOT WANT IS GOING WITH HER! That was rule 1 for her to leave. No more feeding, letting it out, chasing him around the neighborhood when he crawls out under the fence and sweeping up dog hair. It is going to be nice.

Sorry to hear. Hate that but then again, I never sleep. Was up at 1:30, went back to bed an hour later and woke up at 6:00. Hope you still have a good day and the same goes for everyone else.

Morning Guys.

Got back from the conference last night in time to watch the closing ceremonies of the Invictus Games. These men and women are truly inspiring.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend, sounds like Cj is. I expect to see some football pictures from Dan soon. Norm I hope your birthday celebrations weren't too wild.

Fall has definitely hit up here with temps overnight in the low single digits. The days have started to stay on the cool side as well.

Today is also move out day for the Pirate Princess.

How did you manage to convince her????

uh... asking for a friend.

She really can't afford it but she is a grown up and will have to deal with it.

Yup. Just had the "I'm all grown up, so treat me like an adult" chat with my oldest.
Okay.
But it won't be cheap.

The best news is THE MUTT I DID NOT WANT IS GOING WITH HER!

Woot!

Well, I'm at work, so I don't know if it's possible to have a "good" day. But then again, it's slow, so... won't be bad either.
My sleep pattern... isn't. Occupational hazard of being a shift worker.

Morning dads, from Wembley...a bit overcast here. Having a cheeky beer in the tailgate, a bit of hair of the dog. Looking forward to abusing Cutler. If anyone wants to do some Disdad spotting, I'm at the 10 yard line in the front row, on the Dolphins side. Wearing a Bears away Tommie Harris jersey. Have a great day chaps. CJ, Doc, if you want a programme or anything let me know.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Had some friends over yesterday and had some surf and turf. DS is home working on redoing his room, rearranging and prepping to paint. Reminded him that the room should not be a long term plan for hom - lol. Dan enjoy the game and CJ congrats on your Gators - I have been enjoying the demise of UT VOLS fans this year. Hope all are having a good weekend and that Norm is enjoying his birthday weekend.

Best of luck to PP, I'm sure Dad will still be a bit of a "safety net" as needed.

Tommie Harris, there's a Jersey you don't see everyday. Enjoy the game.
