***Official December 2017 thread!

SO glad they extended AK hours! With ROL at 6:30pm we'll have a lot of time to enjoy the park at night, I always wanted to ride Everest after sundown!

Hey everyone! I'm booked at Yacht Club from 12/2-12/9 and I just went online to see if any higher room categories were available, and there weren't. I then checked availability at every other Deluxe hotel - nothing. EVERY Disney property is booked, with the exception of Copper Creek Villas.

So, that being said, am I to expect the same crowd levels for the first week of December as over Christmas/New Year's???

I understand that there is no "slow" season anymore, and I wouldn't expect to wait 10-15 minutes for Space Mountain, but every hotel booked solid?!

Looks like everyone who runs a crowd calendar will need to update their crowd levels...

It's not just deluxe almost every hotel is booked for first three weeeks of December- I am there 12/8-12/15 expected a slower time based on three diff crowd calendars and last years experience- starting to worry it will be much busier - oddly week of Christmas has more availability

Shhh don't tell anybody. Looking at the early December availability scares me. We're going the 19th-24th and very few are sold out. All the All Stars and Pop are still available.
It blew my mind to see the availability the way it currently is, like the month is backwards. I keep hoping part is due to Pop and CSR and CBR constructions but it can't be that impactful. I guess if its that crowded I will be in Epcot drinking margaritas more than I thought I would LOL

I think the secret seems to be out for that time of the month. Our week is kind of a strange tweener this year, as since Christmas falls on a Monday, most of the schools don't let out until the Friday before. We were able to grab all the ADRs we wanted as well. Hoping the FP+ experience is similar.

Yeah! We will be doing our first holiday/ full park/mvmcp visit 12/17-12/22. I want to be home on Christmas eve-eve to watch holiday movies with my kitties!

Hey Everyone!

We are going on a sort of informal trip to the World this December. We went last December for 8 day (Trip Report in my signature) and got engaged and this year we are going for a week but spending majority of the week in Daytona with family for Christmas.

We fly in on the 15th and are staying in Orlando until the 18th. We will then make the trip over to Daytona until the 22nd. We really have no plans set in stone but obviously will be touching Disney property at some point during the 15th-18th. Whether it's one day or two, we will make it there. My fiancee's family (all of us from Wisconsin) would rather spend the holidays in a warmer climate so we agreed to go for the week prior to Christmas and his parents are renting a large condo on the ocean in Daytona for us to share, it's his mom's 50th birthday trip as well so I sort of felt the obligation to go and heck, Disney being an hour away doesn't hurt.

It is so different for me to be going to Orlando without a plan. Last year it feels like every minute of our 8-day trip was micro managed so this will be a nice change of pace. I don't feel like I have to see everything. Ideally I'd like to do two days (16 & 17) at Disney and the 18th at SeaWorld but we will see. I will keep you all updated. In the meantime, anyone have any idea how I can score an Ohana reservation for dinner anytime the 16th thru the 22nd? We're desperate. It's our favorite!!

Use the touring plans reservation finder by creating a free account. Also check the reservation at times during the day, right up to when you leave.

I may have missed some news, so I apologize, but last I remember rol show dates ( not dining) were released on mde a few weeks ago, showing in the calendar just a few days a week.

I checked today, and if I'm reading it correctly, it seems there will be shows every night now in December. Can anyone confirm? Do you think it's a glitch?

I saw this to. I was excited they added ROL on Dec 22nd since that was our planned AK day. I sure hope it is not a glitch. They also extended the park hours by an hour and now open till 8 that night.

We make our 6th trip to WDW 12/9 - 12/17. This will be our first time seeing the Christmas decorations. Staying at CBR and hoping they have a Star Wars Dessert Party at HS on 12/15. Another thread suggests they will, but still nothing on DisneyWorld.com.

My son and I are getting haircuts at the Harmony Barber Shop. I might be most excited about that.

So on a whim I looked to see who's narrating the CLP when we're at Epcot. Looks like Pat Sajak (meh), and then a TBD on the 10th. Right now we've got a Le Cellier lunch booked on the 10th, but I'd be happy to move that to the 5th instead since it's not on the list of restaurants participating in the dinging package.

Here's my questions to all y'all though: We've never been to the World during the Holidays, so we're already doing the MVMCP. Is the CLP worth the extra cost even if it's a Narrator you're not stoked to see? And yes, already bummed Warwick is right after we leave :P

Changed our plans a little lately! Switched from on site to off site to save $$$ and shortened it by a few days. Dropped a few ADRs too. We're now at the Holiday Inn - Celebration. We have AP's so it doesn't affect our tickets / parking etc. But we're still able to go so that's something!!!

December 1st - Arrive / Universal Studios
December 2nd - Universal Studios / Harry Potter Christmas
December 3rd - Universal Studios / MVMCP
December 4th - Magic Kingdom (BOG Breakfast / Liberty Tree Lunch)
December 5th - Hollywood Studios (50's Prime Time Dinner)
December 6th - Epcot (Garden Grill Breakfast / Rose & Crown Dinner)
December 7th - Animal Kingdom (Rainforest Cafe Breakfast)
December 8th - Drive Home

89 days to go!!!!
