Disney's BOARDWALK INN Information & Questions

Sorry these are a bit dark. I only snapped a few photos of the room the first night we were there. And yes, these were photoshopped in order to edit my kids out.

The entrance hallway way large enough to keep our stroller without blocking the closet. The closet was to the left after entering the room. It was deep enough to put two suitcases on the floor next to each other lengthwise and very long as well. I wish I'd taken a picture of it! The bathroom was the same as the other bathrooms at BWI. Two sinks and a separate room for the toilet and shower.

Edit: the bathroom was slightly different than the floor plans I've seen online. It was on the left, past the closet, after entering the room, but the whole thing was flipped 45 degrees from the room floor plans for BWI. The sinks ran parallel to the wall with the window/balcony.

If we drive for our Bon Voyage breakfast and park at BW, can we leave our car for the day and walk to and from Epcot?

No, you can't park there for any theme park. If everyone did that there would be no room for the guests staying at the hotel to park their cars.
Denise

However, you can valet park at BW Resort for $25 plus tip and leave your car all day if you'd like.

So very excited to finally say I have gotten a room at my favorite resort to celebrate my 65th birthday! It is always so difficult to get a cast discount at the BWI, but I am happy to say I was able to get a 50% off rate for December 6-13 for a club level room. I will get to celebrate with my second family, aka, my favorite cast members!

Congrats and I'll see you there (I don't arrive till 12/11 though) :thumbsup2

Hi Kook! :wave2: Great to see you!
I have been spending most of my DIS time researching F&W, MNSSHP, and Pandora. But I also stay current with this thread and WL. I am getting closer to 1,000 posts!
I am trying not to get too focused on views and room location, maybe because this is our first time at BW. I will probably just ask for high floor and quiet. (I just don't want to be near the luggage loading area because I've read that it is noisy) I may be renting an ECV this trip, so I guess distance to the elevators won't be an issue-for me! :) (the other 3 are very fit)
Anyhow, just wanted to say hi and hope your summer is going well!

WOW! That room is HUGE! Thank you for posting them. . . I have been wondering what those rooms would look like since I first saw the funky shaped rooms on the Touring Plans room map!

I thought it seemed really big! This was our first time staying at BWI so I wasn't entirely sure. I knew it was much bigger than the room we stayed in at the GF (which also was not the standard floor plan). It would be difficult to stay in a regular sized room at BWI after this one, although the resort was so delightful that I don't think we would enjoy it any less due to a smaller room. We will definitely return in the future!

I am so glad to hear that, as this will be our first stay at the BW as well!

WDWKOOK-if u could log our dates for 2018 please. July 18th-July 28th annual trip and Nov 6th-10th for Food & Wine finally again. Have to go see our favorite CMs at the Innkeepers Club.

When we were there in May, I booked a bounce back rate for December. Taking my DD (22yo) and my mom and we're booked in a standard BWI room. Now my sister would like to join us. We will be fine with one bathroom, but I'm considering moving over to the BWV side to get a studio instead. Part of me would like to save the money for the additional adults, but the other part of me likes the Inn side decor with 2 queen beds and the sleeper. I'm vacillating. Any advice?

Well, you only get one real bed in a studio. If you're not sharing, somebody is on the sofa bed and somebody is on what they added at the refurb- a pull-down bed, I think. Somebody will chime in with more details but I think it's smaller than a twin-size bed so not sure how comfortable the person would be. If you leave all the beds pulled out, not surr how much floor space is left for moving around.

Also not sure if you can make a change and still get the Bounceback rate.

Staying October 12-15 for a super quick trip. Forgive me, I'm sure the answer is here somewhere, what is the quickest way from Trattorio al forno to Bayside marina? Snagged a Bon Voyage adr and will be leaving there to drop off DD for her pirate adventure cruise.

ColoradoMom12 Thanks so much for sharing your lovely pics and room details..Those 2nd floor rooms really are so conveneient...and I think that courtyard has such a pretty and tranquil view...

Just wondering..did that room have a connecting door?? We prefer rooms without...but BWI does not seem to have too many of those...Thanks...:goodvibes

No, there was not a connecting door! We also prefer rooms without so were pleased to find one. We loved the courtyard view. It was very tranquil. I drank my coffee on the balcony every morning. Unfortunately, I've just discovered I left something behind on the balcony so will need to call this morning to see if it was turned in.
