Is there a list of things that either A) are going away between now and December, or B) are not usually done in December? Like shows or fireworks or things like that. Example would have been like how Happily Ever After took over for Wishes. I keep doing this research but will see things from time to time randomly like "before it ends" or "until November" or the like and I'm wondering what info I'm missing. Thanks!

Cirque de Soleil's La Nouba is going away. The new Pixar Live show in HS is supposedly for this summer only.

Hi everyone! Please add us to the list. We have our trip planned for Dec 2-10, and staying at the Beach Club with my family of 4 (me, DH, DS9, DS6). I've been a long time lurker on the boards, but just never posted, and have been to Disney many times. I have to say ADRs were much more difficult to get this time. We decided on Skipper Canteen, Tusker House Breakfast, Beaches & Cream, San Angel, Monsieur Paul, Yak&Yeti, Hoop-Dee-Doo, Fantasmic Mama Melrose, and BOG QS. I wanted the Fireworks Dessert Party, but it was sold out, and I didn't get the times I wanted for other reservations. Very annoying to me at the time, but now I'm just very happy to be visiting again! I want to switch over to candle light processional package when the schedule comes out. I'm undecided on MVMCP. Trying to justify the extra money. Someone convince me!

I don't think they have released fireworks parties for December yet. Only MVMCP parties.

My family is not going to MVMCP because of the price but we are 4 adults. It is too expensive for what you get IMHO. You may want to do it if you have never done it before and because your kids seem to be a good age for it. I don't know if that would convince you but if you decide to go I would get tickets now. We are going the same week you are and that is during Pop Warner. It seems that ADR's are hard to get for this week and I think the Pop Warner is why. I'm not too worried about the parks because the kids will be busy during the day.

Agreed. They are at a good age for it. They like the special shows and characters, but are more into rides now. I'm really on the fence. I don't know if I can justify that much extra for it. We usually stay at a moderate resort (love POFQ), but decided to splurge this time and stay at BC. I want to take advantage of the location and spend more time at EPCOT. I didn't realize that Pop Warner was the same week. I've been so busy between work and home life that I've had no time to read the boards before booking the trip. I figured "Hey, it will will be early December. There will be low crowds." Ha!

I know it is a lot of money. That is why we are not going. I just couldn't justify the expense. If your kids are more into the rides I would ask them what they think. If they don't care then don't spend the money. You could use it on dinner or something else. There is plenty to do at Christmas. I did the same thing you did when I picked my dates. I didn't do any research and thought it was the beginning of Dec and it should be slower. I have done some research on Pop warner and if you are not staying at one of the resorts they are, it isn't so bad. We are staying at BLT. They don't stay at the high end hotels. They stay at the All Stars and one of the moderates, usually CSR. Some people have said they didn't notice anything in the parks during those weeks. Others say they have seen pockets of football players or cheerleaders in the parks and they just avoid them. I am taking the attitude, I'm on vacation and I am not going to worry about it.

Welcome aboard! I have added you to the list! We absolutely love the parties, we are a party of 5 and all Disney Adults, even though my 3 are still kids! HAHAH!! So yes, the 500 and change total for 5 party tickets x 2 since we are doing 2 parties was hard to swallow but it is always worth it to us. We love the smaller crowd, the little extras and being able to ride all we want without having to wait for long. We ALWAYS do either a halloween party or a Christmas party, because we enjoy them that much. This year we are doing one before our cruise and one after and on both party days we do not do any other park, we make it a resort lounging day and since we are rope droppers to park closers, we sleep in a bit on party days too!
 
Hello! We are heading there Dec. 10th-17th. Unfortunately, I just realized I missed my window for ADR's!! Of course everything we wanted is not available...Akershus, Be Our Guest QS or Dinner, Ohana, 1900 Park Fare. I have subscribed to the cancellation thread. I am so bummed I forget to put the date in my phone. I couldn't even get a normal time for lunch at Via Napoli. Ahh well, I am just excited that it is only 6 months away!
