Did your family love it?? I'm terrible at this! I don't know why, but I just can't get the hang no matter how many times I ride.
You'll be arriving right as I'm settling in back home. Was wondering if our trips might overlap! I've been in late August before and was shocked at the crowd level (in a good way! I was expecting it to be much more crowded than it was) and I've been in September which is probably my favorite month to be at Disney (besides October because I LOVE Halloween!).
Do you think you might do a trip report once you're back? I'd be very curious to see how your DS enjoyed all things Star Wars 
Isn't the Dis the best?! I'm so thankful I get to share my favorite thing with so many amazing people who also "get it" Yes!!! They absolutely were in love with it! And my sister and brother-in-law, who haven't spent much time in the last decade or so on Disney property, were especially blown away because they just didn't comprehend/expect the "Disney factor," which always makes everything better, if I do say so myselfYes, it is, one of the reasons it's my favorite resort

) is just amazing. Although sometimes I do wish that I had someone with me to share all the fun times with. Speaking of your TR, I am reading a little each and every day and catching up. I just love reading about your family's Disney time together, and you're such a great and fun writer that I feel like I'm right there with you! 
My 3 year old nephew Dominic was in heaven at MK (would you look at the awe in that kid's face?!) – he sure takes after his aunt, doesn’t he!? But my poor little nearly 2 year old niece GiGi… well, let’s just say she hasn’t caught the bug yet. The picture above was a rare moment of calm. Don’t worry… I haven’t given up all hope yet. She’s obsessed with Minnie Mouse, so that’s a start.

That's the one thing I'm concerned about regarding going down there solo, is will I feel lonely. I think doing certain things I will and other times, definitely not. I know if I hadn't had a really cool co-worker with me for my "extra" training day in Universal I definitely would have felt lonely, but I also wasn't in my happy place so I felt out of sorts anyway.You really must try some solo Disney time someday, the freedom of not having to "compromise" (using your TR word here

I really was. I was gearing up for summer crowds but many schools are already back in session by mid-August, which helps people like us who travel then!
Many crowd-level charts are pretty promising for late August, and I always try to use them when possible when planning trip dates. I've always interpreted it to mean something like that - DS = dear son; DH = dear husband. But Disney or darling would work too!
I agree!!! I could be on here all day... too bad I have to go to work and school...
I can think of so many other ways to spend my time... Woohoo!!! YES please!!! We'll have to compare our plans for those overlapping days once August gets a little closer. A drink or a ride on Buzz - at which we both excel - might have to happen!
