Trying to check off Ohana on my "bucket list" for September. Can't anything so far...but I keep trying. I saw an archived DIS episode where Kevin and John killed it. So I'm second guessing if I should even try. Any thoughts? TIA!

I'm not sure what that means but we had a great meal in December... pics and review linked in my signature.

I've eaten here for both breakfast and dinner. I've had great experiences both times. The food at dinner was so so delicious it's among some of my favorite on property. I would highly recommend at least trying it because to me it is really worth it :)

You should try it for yourself - you won't really know until then. There are so many differing opinions about so many Disney restaurants. If you've been wanting to eat there don't let someone else decide for you.
On a personal note, 'Ohana has been on our must do list since 1997. We've never had a meal there that we didn't enjoy.

We went to Ohana for the first time last year (dinner) and absolutely loved it. The food was right up our alley and the atmosphere was fun. I'm going to try to get a breakfast adr when we go in October. I'd say take a look at the menu and see what you think. Like PP said everyone has different likes/dislikes!

Ohana is great!!! That has to be really old video because I just watched a recent video and it was in their top 5...this is our only must do each year we go.

We eat there every trip. Never once had bad food, but the service was less than great a few times. They're only human.

Keep trying for a reservation especially close to your trip. Things tend to open up everywhere as you get closer to when you want to be there.

Good luck!

Okay, I'll jump in with a dissenting opinion. I think the food is low quality, especially considering the high price, and that it is overhyped. Picture bagged salad with some type of sweet dressing, noodles with mixed frozen veggie stir fry, and cheap cuts of meat. This was somewhat redeemed by a tasty bread pudding dessert that you can get on its own at Tambu lounge. All in all, my impression is quantity over quality and for AYCTE, there are much better options than 'Ohana.

Interesting! In an overview they do of the Polynesian, Craig and Ryno seem to love it. I am excited to go for the first time on my next trip.

My breakfast/brunch must-do is Kona Cafe, I even named my poor dog after it . Excited to give Ohana a go!

THe last meal we had there was horrendous, and sent 'Ohana from "must do" to "not for one heck of a long time". I have always been ambivilent about this dinner, but my family liked it so we always booked it. I think that 'Ohana has become a victim of its own success, with good days and bad days. It is pricey, but not consistant.

We had breakfast there 2 yrs ago. DH really liked the fact that it wasn't a buffet - I had booked mostly buffet character meals so this was a nice change. The characters were great and made such a big deal over my kids, and my kids loved the conga line around the room. As for the food, I'd say it was just typical breakfast food and typical quality disney food too.

John and Kevin's review is pretty old. Pete and the gang listed Ohana as their second best one credit table service meal on a much more recent Dis "Best and Worst" Episode

We were disappointed with our last meal here as well...both food and servers. Feel like it doesn't live up to the hype with the exception of dessert!

We have eaten at 'Ohana for breakfast and dinner and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. We are headed back there for dinner in August and are excited! It has been 5 years since our last dinner there. :)

We love 'Ohana (and thought Kona breakfast was meh). I don't even eat that much meat, but I'm perfectly happy stuffing myself with the salad, noodles, and dumplings (which have pork in them I think). We've never gotten the impression that the noodles are made with frozen bagged veggies *shrug*
