That was 20 days for me + 9 days for ROFR, and I thought *I* was moving quickly through the system!! Now the wait to close.... and then for the membership number and points...

I know! I'm shocked!! I guess sometime no news really is good news! Looking in the estoppel thread made me very grateful that it was an "all-in-one" process for us. Another 20 days of waiting for closing docs would've been hard haha

I sent them an email almost two weeks ago, inquiring about a BCV contract that we were interested in buying. They never replied so I assumed the contract was sold. It is still listed as available on her site though. Feel bad for that seller as we would have bought it. But went with another contract and another broker.

Wow, I thought we had just had a fluke experience. It took several days to even get the contract sent through to ROFR with verrryy spotty communication (I had to email a few times and DH had to call to get things through) and then to not be informed upon passing ROFR? I won't be using this particular broker again, even if I have had a speedy experience.

I think there is maybe a 5% chance of this one making it out of ROFR. We had a particular number of points in mind that we wanted to add, and wanted to split them between VGF and BLT. If this one gets taken, I am DEFINITELY taking a break for a while and just going to enjoy my increased VGF points. This stuff adds up quickly. We couldn't let such a good deal just pass at the other resort we wanted. If this one makes it out of ROFR, I am done adding on, at least for quite a few years if not forever!

This is an awesome deal on BLT! Wishing you lots of pixie dust to make it through ROFR!!

Well, it took us another trip to realize DVC is the right way to go! This forum has helped us a ton, so thank you. Here is our first attempt.

I'm pretty convinced Disney will take it. However, I was also convinced that the sellers wouldn't accept our deal, and I was clearly wrong about that. So Here we go. The game plan is to get a 25 point direct contract once we finish paying this one off, and then buy another resale contract at a second resort down the line. We know our goal point value is 250 by the time we're done. That will take awhile, because we're Canadian and our dollar sucks, with no chance of recovering any time soon.

Congrats! AKV is a rare target. 93.6% chance that passes. (Not scientifically speaking, of course.)

That's really good deal with them paying CC. About $71/pt I think. Just curious.....was this the contract they were asking $99/pt on? There was a stripped contract like that listed the whole time I was looking for that price.
