Okay dokey, thread's been updated! Congratulations to those that passed, and a symbolic bottle of bourbon for those that didn't.

Sorry I didn't do individual cheers for this update. This week sort of kicked my rear.

@TexasChick123 did I miss one of yours? Did you have two BLTs taken or one?

I had a second one that was sent to ROFR, but the seller was using points after it was sent, and I cancelled the contract. I'm now waiting in ROFR for the third one. Yep, lots of contracts!

Looking at the recent SSR listings as well as the combined ones from the last thread and from assorted resellers, it reinforces my belief that a lot of this comes down to UY, I can't see one Feb UY contract that was taken.

According to DVC News Feb is the second most allocated UY when it comes to points. Perhaps the abundance of points allocated to Feb mean there isn't such a demand.

I looked at these too when trying to decide, but I decided I can't rely on them because that is just data from one broker. Remember that there are a ton of brokers who don't keep and/or publish their data on ROFR, so don't look at it in a vacuum. I imagine that if everyone that went through ROFR with SSR Feb UY was somehow magically contacted, you would find some who got taken. I do think certain UY's are targeted at certain times, but that can change at any moment especially when you take the details of the contract into consideration. They'll take a lot of contracts with UY's that we haven't seen them taking just because the deal is too good to be passed on by them. :( They could be targeting June one day and February the next. We have no idea when they are moving onto a different UY and why. The mysteries of DVC buybacks are plentiful.

Thanks for the links. Interesting information.

That is the first VGF contract I've seen taken in the last year, and the price wasn't the best Ive seen either.

$139 pp with seller paying MFs. Had 63 banked points from 2015 and full 2016 and 2017 with DEC UY.

You know my theory on VGF and them gearing up to start massive buybacks on them in the coming year once Poly is getting closer and closer to sold out. We'll see if I'm right or not in the next 12 months...

Maybe we'll be saying that it all started with that one buyback.

Hadn't considered the POLY angle. Makes sense though. I know they have a huge waiting list of people wanting to buy VGF direct, so this could explain that. Or maybe they had lower than normal foreclosure rates on VGF and needed a few extra points.

Hard to really tell with just one data point.

Are there any ongoing list of Aprils Passes/Buybacks for DVC? I know it is not apples to apples but just some data to pass the time while waiting:hourglass

Other than what is self reported/posted on the first page I don't believe we see anything else until one of the brokers post on FB the contracts /buybacks for April for their particular firm. I do remember reading that you can go to the county and see the deeds ( maybe someone else can verify this ?)
