Thanks! Okies, so here is how we set it up last time. If anyone takes issue with any of the rules, please voice your opinion and I will do my best to work with you to ensure everyone is happy. Every 10 cabins that sign up will be arranged into one group.

FE EXCHANGE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

9/29/17 EDIT: Everyone can choose their own day to distribute their gifts, provided that it is not the last night of the cruise (for packing purposes).

8/6/17 EDIT: With Groups One and Two closed, general FE registration has now ended. There will, however, be a "last minute" group(s) left open until one week prior to the cruise start date, October 8. Please keep in mind that with this group, you may find people joining very close to embarkation date, giving less time to prepare gifts.

2/11/17 EDIT: I want to add an additional rule because this came up on my last cruise. We had a family that had two cabins on the list but only gave one gift to each of the other cabins. So for this cruise, every cabin counts as one entrant in the FE. Please do not enter multiple cabins if you only intend to give one gift as a family. Each cabin is responsible for a gift. Thank you.

My understanding is that if you have a room marked GTY (guaranteed but currently unassigned room) you will be told it a few weeks before the cruise. I am not completely positive though. If that is the case, feel free to fill out the form now and post it again with your room number once you get it.

Depends on what sort of guarantee you have. "Regular" GTY (where you have specific category selected, 9B GTY or 5A GTY, for example) are typically assigned around 45-60 days out.

Last-minute restricted fares (OGT, IGT, VGT) are typically assigned around 2 weeks out.

All that being said, any guarantee booking can be assigned at any time between original booking date all the way up to, and including, embarkation day.

Yep that is true! They can assign it anytime they wish to I have heard it is often about 10 to 7 days out that they assign them - the one time we did IGT I got mine 9 days prior to departure. I have never done GTY myself but it does likely depend on which type was booked by them.

@Hillary Harris What I propose is that you go ahead an fill out the FE form and in the event you aren't assigned a room until the day we board, you can write notes with your room number and username on it and stick them in the fish extenders of the other people in your group.

To participate you need to find the cruise meet thread for your cruise. If there is a fish extender group for your cruise they will discuss it in the thread and you can request to participate with the group for your cruise

The name comes from the fish hangar that is outside outside every DCL stateroom that you hang it on..
