It’s a...WDWKOOK LIVE TRIP of FIRSTS! TRIP SUMMARY PAGE 17!

Love the pictures! Weather looks beautiful for you. Hope the heat isn't too intense. With crowds that low you should be able to walk into Chefs le France! The salmon tartar is incredible.

Hope you have a great day and a smooth move tomorrow!

Liz

WDWKOOK, I am enjoying your thread immensely! Thank you for doing this. We were just at CR in July, had a fantastic CL experience (also a fantastic CL experience in 2014), and I was so disappointed to read that it didn't work out for you (we were Atrium, not Tower). Veni, vidi, vicarius vacation. I have no idea what that means. LOL:charac2:

I'm still behind, but who the heck is Kiley?!? The BW nanny chairs (I think that's what they're called) were always Paul and Todd. I wonder if they renamed one, or took one out of storage somewhere. Hmmmm.
:rotfl:
You're right. I only could remember the one chair was Paul. The other was Todd.

Well, the AllEars meet can be described in one word - lame.

I'm sorry the meet was lame :(.

Love all the Halloween stuff :goodvibes.

YC Lagoon View room booking. The view is actually a partial LV with Illuminations view.

Great pics, thanks for sharing them :flower3:.

 KOOK!

Since you haven't posted any new updates in, like..... A WHOLE DAY :rolleyes1 we're picturing you wandering and meandering anywhere your little heart desires while enjoying a little of this and a little of that. :cloud9::flower3::mickeybar

Here's to you!:drinking1

Enjoying your report so far! I don't blame you for switching in both locations. The park crowds look crazy low. But I guess to make up for it, is it crazy hot there?

The pictures are great. It's funny how I'm definitely drawn to the Boardwalk pics! It's seems like still forever until our December trip.

Would you do another solo trip? I know I could do it for a short trip, or like if I had to go down there for a work trip doing a few days myself. But my wife, who's just as much a Disney junkie if not more, I don't think would do it herself.

Keep enjoying!!!

I had dinner yesterday at Crew's Cup lounge. Unfortunately, they don't serve food from Yachtsman Steakhouse next door, the Captain's Grille makes the food. Territory Lounge, over at WL, serves Artist Point food which makes it my favorite lounge. They only have four booths and one table, which were full, so I sat at the bar.

I ordered a wedge salad which was huge and each wedge had a different dressing which was very good:

Story about the bread: A suit walked by and I asked if bread is served. I hadn't received any food and I was a little hungry, but not yet hangry. He said that it was only served at YS. I mentioned this to Web, my server, and he brought out bread with my salad. It's not like I was ordering a water and eating nuts!

For my entree I ordered the pasta with short rib. It was tasty, though very salty. The short rib was much better than this photo makes it out to be:

image.jpeg

After the gym this morning, I stopped by BC Marketplace for a milk. The place was packed, but they had many checkouts open which made for short lines. I dined al fresco, though the air really wasn't cool;)

image.jpeg

Each time I've been through the IG, I've had to walk through the metal detector, but not going in the front. I timed it from my room to The Seas with Nemo and Friends and it was about 15 minutes.

Afterwards, I created this bad boy:rolleyes2

Next stop:

Since it wasn't crowded at all, I got a back row all to myself:

image.jpeg

After all that intense work, I stopped at, you guessed it, Tokyo Dining for another Chirashi (sashimi bowl) that looked identical to the last one so hence, no photo.

The YC quiet pool was empty and quiet when I got there:

image.jpeg

Some quiet pool observations:

This CM proceeded to power wash a balcony, but didn't notice/care/look to see there was a woman right next door sitting out talking on her phone. I watched as the water began to blow onto her balcony as she fled for dryer ground and left something behind which probably got wet:

image.jpeg

Down a ways, someone decided the no smoking on your balcony rule applies to someone other than her:

image.jpeg

I threatened some bathroom photos, so here's one from today. Can anyone guess where this is? Hint: It's technically not in a park nor a resort.

Back tonight to multi-quote:)

I threatened some bathroom photos, so here's one from today. Can anyone guess where this is? Hint: It's technically not in a park nor a resort.

It is the bathroom at the International Gateway - I think. ;)

The Crews Cup short ribs are very good. We also like the Angus burger and the clam chowder. I agree that the Territory Lounge is a nicer lounge, but I think the Crews Cup has better options if you want a small meal at a good price. :)

We like the YC quiet pool, too. Did you ever make it to Storm Along Bay yesterday?

I was also going to guess the IG bathrooms. :)

The smoking thing annoys the hell out of me. I don't mind smokers, as long as the rules as followed. That certainly wasn't the case. I hate people who are above the rules!

Do you speak German, or were you figuring a German car would drive faster, like a Porsche or Audi? :thumbsup2

I love it when the quiet pool is quiet!

Wondering if you have a mile/step tracking device and if so, how many miles/steps are you tracking daily on your trip? Also, do you stick with a trusty pair of sneakers with all the meandering you are doing or switch between different types of footwear?

I think if I was traveling around the EPCOT world, I would stop in France for a salad and a bottle, I mean glass of wine.:drinking:

Down a ways, someone decided the no smoking on your balcony rule applies to someone other than her:

You totally reminded me of when we were at the BWI a couple of months ago. DH and I were sitting on the balcony of the Belle Vue Lounge having a drink and some lady on the balcony jut above it and one over was smoking...:sad2:

I love how you never really show yourself in the photos, but give a little glimpse. Started with a reflection of the sneakers and I think we're up to half a body now, LOL.

Oh, and the AllEars meet sounds so awkward. Last November, the WDW Today team (official Twitter folks for WDW) tweeted where they were in the park and come and say 'hi'. I was right around the corner, so I walked over, and not until I mentioned that I saw their tweet did they act all excited and say, "We have some goodies for you!" The "goodies" were two generic "I'm Celebrating" buttons with @WDWToday written on it.

I loved your YC room compared to the BC room. I wonder if the YC remodel will be as dark as BC because that would be a shame.

I was in both rooms about 4 hours apart. The BC room is so much more fresher and modern, however, the YC still has its theming. Most of the recent WDW resort rehabs have turned once heavily themed rooms into more generic, but modern and fresh rooms...WITHOUT CLOCKS!:sad2:

I love all of your pictures - thanks for posting so many. I love the Mickey shirt - Mornings should start at noon. My college DDs would love it.

You're welcome:). I think college students must be the target audience for that one;)

Thanks so much for all the great pictures!!!!!! Love seeing them.

I'm glad you can tolerate photo overload. I hear RPC is very photogenic!

FYI my tree is still here. And this place is not crowded at all.

I think I want to try YC sometime definitely going to avoid BC. It just doesn't look like my thing. MK yesterday wasn't crowded either. Well at least I didn't think so.

Doesn't HS only have like 5 rides anyway? So trying a few is like saying you tried them all.

As usual, the BC lobby was packed and noisy this morning. Maybe it's just too small? The MK Resorts don't ever feel that way to me, though Poly can sometimes get noisy.

DHS is being totally "reimagined" so yes, very few rides and I do not do drops straight down, so no ToT for me. TSM is definitely my favorite and TGMR.

Love all the great pics. It's funny you got a picture of the back of the chair with the name at BWI. I forgot to look when I was there in July. Was Paul there too? I'm enjoying reading along.

Enjoy the day!

You noticed! Well, I was texting a friend who asked if Kiley was there and sure enough, I was seated right next to her/it. My friend said that she's a sister of Paul and Todd. Paul was there, but maybe Todd is in rehab?:rotfl:

 Loving this solo trip!!!

Your goat pic is precious and makes me laugh. So funny that y'all like those animals. Come see us and we'll endoctornate you into the life of raising goats:p

Too bad about BC...we had a great experience there. HOWEVER...I prefer YC. Not crazy about the BC lobby.

AllEars meet ....told ya so :D Now you can say, "Been there, done that"

Empty parks!! Most fabulous!! Makes me jealous since we can only go when it's shoulder to shoulder. :upsidedow

Looking forward to your GF venture!! Lots of pics, please.

Enjoy your weekend!!

I'm lovin' the solo trip, too and your darling goats, whose photos would look great here. You haven't posted in so long that I just realized now looking at your signature that your DS is just 2 years younger than my DD, time flies!

Well, not empty, but many more walk-ons than during the school vacation season and easy to get TS walk-ups, at least for parties of two or less.

Will you be posting a TR for your Thanksgiving FW glamping trip? You could bring your goats!!

:rotfl: I didn't know there were three chairs. Learn something new everyday. I hope Todd is okay.

Your live report is great and it keeps me chuckling. I can't wait to read more.

Thank you! I can't believe the weather, not one drop of rain (that I know of) since Monday's arrival. The heat has been even worse in NoVA, so even though the humidity is higher here, I'm so grateful for the great weather.

My move plan this time is to take the early ADR bus directly to GF. If that doesn't work for some reason, I'll just move over to the MK bus and then arrive by sea:sail:

I'm so glad you're enjoying all this. Though I haven't been posting to my threads since arriving here, I noticed someone posted to the CR thread that they had a great Tower Club stay, and I think they were there around the time I checked in or shortly thereafter! Maybe they skipped the lounge the night I was there?

I'm still behind, but who the heck is Kiley?!? The BW nanny chairs (I think that's what they're called) were always Paul and Todd. I wonder if they renamed one, or took one out of storage somewhere. Hmmmm.

I have it on good authority that she's the sister (long lost?!) of your namesake and Todd. And, there's another sister named Alix and Carrie. Who knew?!

I'm sorry the meet was lame :(.

Love all the Halloween stuff :goodvibes.

Great pics, thanks for sharing them :flower3:.

I will never forget those bandaids, so the quick stop was worth it just for that memory. You and my DD love Halloween and I'm glad you like the photos. I think your favorites are starting tomorrow;)

 KOOK!

Here's to you!:drinking1

So does this mean Mr. CuteAsMinnie wants his money back and there will never be a second post?

I'm always on a mission, so no meandering, meowing nor snacking as that could interfere with mealtime. I did have to save room for that Kitchen Sink;)

Kook, your Trip Reports are the best :-)

Awww, danke. I posted a special Test Track photo for you:laughing:

Enjoying your report so far! I don't blame you for switching in both locations. The park crowds look crazy low. But I guess to make up for it, is it crazy hot there?

I'm glad you understand about the issues that drove me to move. While the humidity is high, it's been brutal in NoVA with 90s everyday for months so this was an easy transition, especially without rain, though that might start tomorrow. The nights have been so breezy and cool here.

Got more BW photos posted and yes, I would do another solo trip. Is there one sticking point for your DW? The only negative for me is that I do worry, (I'm a great worrier) about getting ill or needing unexpected medical attention. That may sound silly, but I'd hate going through something like that alone. I do have family in FL, but not that close by so I think that would be a big negative with traveling alone anywhere, not specifically Disney, who I've heard is great if someone falls ill.

DING, DING, DING!! We have a winner. The clue might have helped, but without it, that bathroom has no distinguishing characteristics.

I did go to SAB and lay down in the sand bottom pool with my head on a rock! It's so relaxing in that spot. I then talked for a very long time with a nice server from NJ. He liked talking so much that a woman eventually walked over to him and asked if he served drinks on the other side of the pool! This was after I suggested he might need to wait on others. But, he was very sweet.

:thumbsup2

I feel that way about ALL rules and I don't take kindly to those who claim they didn't know or they don't care - I care!

It was actually an homage to our German car "collection" so I thought DH and DD (who went to a German Immersion grade school) would think it was funny. She usually does them in German, and Spaceship Earth, too. I really still miss the old TT, it was so much better than this, err, lame version.

Yes, true to its name it was.

I only keep track on the treadmill. I run, walk and bike almost everyday for an hour so beyond that is icing on the cake. I change Asics about every 500 miles, so I bring the last pair and the newest pair and walk/run in those. Never bring new shoes on a walking intensive trip. Always wear either those you do cardio in or have walked in. A vacation isn't the time to break in shoes or discover they're I'll-fitting. And, please, no Crocks or flip flops for walking:duck:

You totally reminded me of when we were at the BWI a couple of months ago. DH and I were sitting on the balcony of the Belle Vue Lounge having a drink and some lady on the balcony jut above it and one over was smoking...:sad2:

The "goodies" were two generic "I'm Celebrating" buttons with @WDWToday written on it.

Yes, it was very awkward. OMG, that's hilarious that those free WDW buttons were their "swag," (that's what AllEars called it.) They kept hyping this in every newsletter for weeks so it was a letdown, but I don't regret going. It's a good story.

Really enjoying your solo adventure! Thanks for taking us along for the ride... GF should be very relaxing for final leg.

Thank you and I see you've been doing some posting :thumbsup2

Well, maybe if I went to the spa everyday it would be relaxing? Sometimes, those lounges can be less than relaxing, depending on the behavior of some guests. I do prefer the MK resorts and do find the setting of each of those resorts more relaxing than this area with all the concrete and...planks. They don't have "backyards" and as much grass here on the BW.

:rotfl: I didn't know there were three chairs. Learn something new everyday. I hope Todd is okay.

Your live report is great and it keeps me chuckling. I can't wait to read more.

I hope he didn't break a leg:duck::crutches:

More to come tomorrow - stay tuned. Spoiler alert: I am not moving/changing/switching/transferring...other than my luggage.

I threatened some bathroom photos, so here's one from today. Can anyone guess where this is? Hint: It's technically not in a park nor a resort.

DING, DING, DING!! We have a winner. The clue might have helped, but without it, that bathroom has no distinguishing characteristics.

The other clue was that there wasn't anybody in there. ;) But I have been in that bathroom several times. It is very ugly.
