The ABC's of Trip Planning, Pt 1- K is for Keeping Things Kooky- Drinks V-Z; pg. 197 + New Link

I'd love to stay and chat. Really. But I just biffed majorly a quiz on TB and now feel compelled to study Rifampin, INH, and the other meds for it. I"ve forgotten WAY too much. I think the DIS is going to have to go on "Reward Status" tonight. I do 30 minutes of study, and then finish off the night with 30 minutes of DISTime. Gotta be up at 4:30 for a 14 hour shift. Ka-ching!!

Pitter patter, better get at 'er.

Ugh. Long one.
Although when I work a 16, I like to tease the 8 hour shift person who comes in after I've already been there for 8.
"Are you jealous? You still have an entire shift to work, but I'm halfway done!"

The Better News: I got scores on them MUCH higher than I anticipated

That's always great! Hopefully it keeps on the incline ;)

The Best News: I have decided to take the night off and get down to some serious business in my Trip Planning.

Yay for night off! Trip Planning is the best way to spend an evening imo (I've planned so many trips that have yet to happen/may never happen. My mom says she may consider a family trip in 2019, and you better believe I already have ADRs picked out)

The Epic News: Because I am putting some tracks in that planning, the CONTEST is coming together!!!!!

Alright, alright. In all seriousness. I love my touch of sassy red, and wowza did this chick need a cut. I was looking like Boromir, only better. And more feminine.

Well, there's worse ways to look than a better, more feminine looking Boromir :P But it is a very nice do!

The interview went well! I basically have the same unofficial job offer as I do with the hospice position, but this one got the point of peeing in a cup. I consider it a good day; I didn't drop the pee cup in the potty, produced "enough", and am pretty confident I'll pass.

Yay for the interview going well! And in a way it's a good thing that both places are about at the same standing as far as unofficial job offer goes, that way you don't have to stress too much yet about what to do, you can focus on your exam and then see what comes of it when the actual offers come in.

Just had to pop in and say. 100 days to go!
Kind of freaking me out! Need to get serious about planning things I hadn't thought of yet. What to pack...should I buy some more comfy socks? Ugh! I even worry about what comfy/cool bra to get (hate buying those things-sorry if TMI). But lists need to be made!
Also this Fast Pass stuff is new territory.

Also want you to know I've being following all along, just fell back to a little lurking/shyness mood. Working 6 day a week and extra hours, I sometime just want to read and "feel connected and in the loop".
Always rooting for you on each new challenge and goal. Then I smile when you achieve it!!
Really hope to pop in more..till then.. good luck on the jobs choices!

A little behind again, but my son had an "F" drink on his drink around the world day a couple weeks ago.
Frozen Elephant - frozen Coca-Cola and Amarula Cream Liqueur $9.00
from the Outpost.

If that were me doing the alphabet drink challenge I'd be ZZZZonked long before I got to the Z's!

16 hours is a long day. I'm tired.
I work a lot of 10hour days and recently had a 12 hour one (this is rare because anything over 10 hours in a day is automatically DOUBLE time $$).
Thinking of 16 hours just makes me tired. Get some rest and enjoy your weekend!!
I took today (Sat) as a vacation day and get a 3 day weekend..which means Disney time!

I'm sorry. I didn't quite get that.
How many more days?

103 for me !!!!

Her is a little Tidbit for your TB .In England at 14 children are tested for TB IF they are negative the get a shot to immune them for it . It is a horrible shot hurts and aches for days . I had to always tell employers I had had BSG as I would test positive for TB . Well about 10 years ago the Health department decided to test to see if people who had received the vaccine years ago were still immune and guess what we weren't THAT year , but we sure were the next year!! So once agin No TB testing for me !!

I did. Getting wildly fluctuating results. Some really high (in the 90s) and others concerningly low. I'll keep at it for the next 3 weeks and hope for the best.

Ugh. Long one.

It turned out to be 16, as you know. LOTS of the nurses at my facility do doubles (of the 8s) all the time, so I'm not alone. And to be honest, when I'm only working about a day every couple weeks, why not rack them up when I can. The paycheck will be music to my bank account.

That's always great! Hopefully it keeps on the incline ;)

So-so results- it's really depending on the subject I'm testing on at the moment. The online Prep Course I'm using has both Focused tests, which give you tests on specific subjects like urinary issues, or psychiatric nursing, or respiratory stuff, etc... or Comprehensive review tests. Working through the focused ones now to review, then will hit the longer comps soon.

LOL! NOW that's a long-range planning thing going on right there.

I think so!

Good perspective! Need to really take one day at a time.

YES!!! My 100 days was today! Definitely doing some happy dancing over here. Tomorrow it's double digits for a while. I have been thinking about my clothes and stuff for a while. Getting some new things to take (I literally had NO shorts at all until last week before camping) especially for some of the better/fancier meals I'm doing. Got me a pretty slick pool cover up too. I'll post pix soon...

That's a lot of working. And I know after coming home from a work shift, I'm way too tired to do much other than just passively read. Or even stay awake at all. I'm glad you feel connected here! By the way, we need to make sure you know all the plans for Meet Up times and places. And if you can send me your phone number (cell) so I can keep you updated during the trip that'd be great!

Thanks for your part of my journey. If it weren't for my friends here, it'd been so much harder to stay motivated and upbeat during the last 2 years.

That sounds actually really yummy! If I'm in EPCOT when it's time for F, I could see myself getting it.

Yup. Not to worry. As you get older, they feel longer.

Who's getting older?

I'd LOOOOOVE overtime working more than 10. I don't think I've had less than that in, like... forever.

100 DAYS!!!!

My son also has the BSG vaccine. He got it in Thailand while we were there for NariLoo's birth. I've heard that the vaccine only offers sporadic results and may only make the disease less severe if you DO get it. Which is still good because TB is pretty horrible. But yes, we were told that he would ALWAYS have a positive Mantoux test and that he'd have to go straight to the chest x-ray if he needed to be screened for work or something. He has a little scar on his hip where they injected, but that thing was nasty for weeks. It festered and was raw for a long time. Poor thing.

Been busy, but I can find a minute for a dance party!

:banana::banana::banana::dancer::dancer::dancer::banana::banana::banana:

Harder to do from my phone...:faint:

YAY! Dancing banana boys!

And yes, DISsing from a phone is tough.
