Soooooo.... Our Stay at the Poly has turned into a split stay with BC :)

I mean the Poly was lovely, but we had a breakfast at Cape May yesterday morning, and went for a walk after and just felt more wowed than we did arriving at the Poly.

So we made the switch, somehow got some money back(!), and settled down at Stormalong for a Sunken Treasure and some pool time before Dinner at Yachtsman.

I think we've found our new home at WDW :)

While at the Poly Concierge making the changes we got a massive pinch of Pixiedust, we were randomly selected for complimentary tickets to the After Party at MK!! Then when checking in at BC, we somehow got a Garden View looking over the garden at the Volyball Court, with a view of the lake of you look left.

BC somehow got us a lot of magic!!

:welcome: home, and hoping the rest of your stay is even more magical!

::yes::

Hi Dee (and everyone else)! If you wouldn't mind adding us to the be our guest list for Jen's 4th annual birthday extravaganza 10/22-10/29. This time it is just my husband and myself. Never done an adults only trip before...I am so excited and my non-Disneyphile DH is...tolerant. ;)

:welcome: back!!!

I'll add you to the list. BC or YC?

My DH and I are doing a kids-free anniversary trip right around the same time. Can't wait!

:cool1:

Booked at the YC Sept 28-Oct 3!!! Cannot wait!

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the list.

:woohoo:

Caught up!!! For now!

Hello everyone! I have a question...

I've never stayed at the Yacht Club before, this September will be my first time staying there (and first time for my little boy - he'll be 9 months when we are there!!) and I'm not sure what requests to put on the reservation.

We're currently booked in a Lagoon/Pool view room. I know for sure I want to request a lagoon view, and I'd LOVE if we could possibly see some of the fireworks from IllumiNations.

Does anyone have any tips for what requests I should make besides lagoon view and not pool view? Floor, location in the building, etc.? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks a bunch!!

:welcome:

I'll add you to the be our guest list.

Not sure about the best request, possibly "Lagoon view, facing EPCOT please" Please note that if HS has fireworks, you can see those from some of the upper floor LV rooms.

I have been reading over this thread all morning and it's getting me so excited for our upcoming trip!
I am staying at BCV in a studio villa with my boyfriend and son from 11/30 - 12/8.
Even though I have been there many times before (my parents are DVC members and were kind enough to loan us points for this trip) I am getting so excited to see the changes to BCV! The last time I was there was almost 3 years ago so really looking forward to this trip.
It'll be my boyfriend's first trip ever and my son's 3rd (he'll be 7) and we are just so looking forward to it.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the great info! Even though I have stayed at Beach Club several times before, I am finding out lots of helpful stuff from this thread! :goodvibes

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1.

:woohoo:

Thanks for the kind comments.

We haven't walked there for breakfast but we often pick up something on our way out of a late night at Epcot for the next morning!

Not sure you have posted here before/recently, so :welcome:

After having to change dates due to a surgery my mom is having and change resorts due to Beach Club availability, I am so excited to officially be going back to BC Oct25- Nov1. Can't wait!

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the list.

:thumbsup2

I'm on my major count down...! 12 days until our stay at the Beach Club, hopefully bump in to some lovely disers whilst I am there :cloud9:

We are 2 weeks out today from our Yacht Club stay!! I can't wait!!!

Enjoy your trips! Wish my trip was closer. We don't go til September. So while I'd love for it to get here quicker, I don't want to wish the summer away! Would love to here from you both after you get back!

Hi, we were thinking of using Les Halles in france for breakfast a few times on our oct trip to YC, just wondering if anyone has done this? would you recommend it? I presume it won't take too long to get there.
And any recommendations would be much appreciated. It's just me and the wife!

Thanks, Glenn
I echo everyone's thoughts here. There food is great. We particularly like their quiches. In fact, since we are usually in the villas and have a mini fridge and micro wave, we were bringing them back the night before and warming them for breakfast in the morning, before they opened for breakfast a little while back.

Waiting for the tragical depress to take us to the airport. Lessons learned this trip:

1. Don't come back with anyone who needs a stroller or likes to drink from puddles. Also, don't bring the older girls back until they are 14+ and can run to whatever park they wish. For those in that age group, we're talking 2018 at the earliest.

2. The Polynesian is lovely and the monorail is awesome when it's running. Even ignoring the dodgy schedule and breakdown at Epcot, the BC is home.

3. See above. The BC is home, so I'm booking a stay there as soon as I'm able for August 2017. I will probably bring my son for a mother/son trip because it's his turn.

Mmmm....I'll be sure to try one of those quiches for breakfast one of the days..thanks for recomending.

Hello all..
Sooooo.....I guess a post I made a few days ago got yanked, and I'm not 100% sure I know why, but I do have a sneaking suspicion.

Oh well...
Bottom line.
WE'RE COMING BACK TO DISNEY!

We recently bought a home and didn't think financially that Disney would be in the cards, but we're making it work. We will be at the Poly from Aug 15-17 and then YC from Aug 17-22. Wheeee!

Now to decide where we'll have our 10th anniversary dinner. I think we're between Citrico's and Narcoosee's....

Our tummys say Citricos (read:food is better), but our hearts say Narcoossee's (views, fireworks, etc...)

Will the Flying Fish be reopened by then? We had the chef's table there a couple years ago and it was absolutely amazing.
