8 is very good and I wouldn't consider that "normal" in the long term. Chances are it'll go down. There were a few month this year where it was 3-4% all the time. I think if you hold out for more 9-10 you might be waiting awhile. But at the same time, who knows! Prices jump and fall all the time.

Yes I just went to Raise and highest savings 2.8% for target giftcard...so when I saw then 8% at giftcard zen I got what I could.

I read for the reward card I can go to epcot for the meet and greet. Anyone know which character is typically there?

When we went last time it was Minnie and Goofy. Typically it's some members of the 'fab five', as I understand it. It was a nice meet and greet even though Minnie couldn't see and totally knocked my kid over (it was funny, not bad!). We all had a great giggle about how well a voiceless character emoted absolute horror at what she had done. She was just mortified.

I just went to gift card zen. The cards for 8% are out of stock now. I clicked on it and it said that the CARDS AT 8% ARE FOR RETAIL STORES ONLY AND CANNOT BE USED IN THE PARKS OR ANYWHERE AT DISNEY WORLD. Perhaps that is why they were at 8%

People are buying Target gift cards then using those (with their red card) to buy disney gift cards from Target.com. Those can be used at the parks and for cruises, etc.

No, you buy Target gift cards from gift card zen. Use those to buy disney gift cards from target (red card as default payment) which can be used anywhere. Don't buy Disney gift cards from gift card zen. Even if they worked at the parks, you can save money by going through target.

Ok. Thanks. I went to gift card zen and searched under Disney cards. They were also 8% , but were disney retail store cards.I did not look at any other cards except Disney. I just did not want anyone to purchase the Disney cards and not be able to use them in the Parks. I myself am set with the card.
Actually after 37 Disney trips, last year was the only year I purchased Disney cards from Target. $800.00 of cards arrived and none were activated. It took forever to get them activated. No one at target could help, and it took close to 20 phone calls, finally they all were fixed. I read that other people on the boards had the same issue. I am so glad I checked the cards when they arrived to see if they were ok.

I didnt buy them. I thought if they were 8% off I may try. Thats when I saw the disney cards for retail stores. For me personally, the hassle I went thru with the Target cards , was not worth the 5% I saved. I chose not to but them at Target for that reason. I know how the gift cards work. I was just trying to help someone if they thought the Disney cards at 8% was a good deal.

Makes no sense to me. I can get disney gift cards at kroger for 14% off but I'd rather buy target ones and end up with 19% savings. The concern about cards not being activated from target doesn't bother me too much since using this process saves me an extra $200 on a cruise.

My 14% comes from 6% back with Amex plus 8% from fuel points when they run 4x points (20 gallon tank on my Odyssey). I get to about 19% total using the "laundering" method

Can you buy Target gift cards online with the Red Card Default get the 5% off and then purchase the Disney Gift Cards with the Target GC (red card default) for another 5%? Also, do you know how long it takes to ship out the Disney gift cards?
