I would like to order a cake for our 30th Wedding Anniversary dinner at the end of April. We have a dining reservation at The California Grill on our actual anniversary date, so VERY excited. Who exactly do i call to arrange this?? I had one for our 25th at Citricos but don't remember who or where i called to order it. Thanks lots in advance!!!

Contact numbers are on page one of this thread. For dining at the Contemporary you would contact them at 407-824-2955.

Want make sure I understand correctly... For a Mickey cake delivered to our Wilderness Lodge room I call the number listed for the Contemporary? Instead of calling can I use the email address listed for the Contemporary as well?

Thanks for your help!! :flower3:

Carla

I'm so excited I officially have a cake order in. Two mini cakes to celebrate our Princess run two weeks from tomorrow. Here is the picture I sent. I can't wait to see what they do with them!

ETA: Wow that picture was big. Let me resize.

Well after keeping my fingers crossed to have a good experience dealing with Pat to order a birthday cake, so far I am disappointed.

I feel like I am asking for a not very extravagant cake but she said the price will start at $250 & our only cake flavor choices are chocolate or vanilla. No peanut butter filling available. Gave a list of pretty limited filling choices.

This is the inspiration photo I sent. Just 1 tier but like the mad hatter shape and the swirl Mickey designs. Asked for 6" single tier cake. Seems $250+ is a little ridiculous

That does seem high for one tier. I'm certainly no expert, but from posts here I've seen the Mad Hatter shape does seem to add a lot to the price.

I got a quote from Brian at the Contemporary, sent him the same info I sent to Pat and he just came back with a quote of $80. Also said it is no problem to do the peanut butter cup filling that Pat said is unavailable. We will be switching to our reservation at the Contemporary instead of dealing with Pat.

We've also stuck with the Contemporary partially out of concern from similar reports from GF. We had an ADR for our first time at 1900 Park Fare and originally thought it would be a great place for our cake night, but I didn't want to take the chance. So strange people have such drastic differences in experiences there.

These posts have made me nervous now as we have our anniversary dinner booked at the grand floridian cafe and were planning on getting a mini came there. I also wanted a Cinderella slipper which is another reason we chose grand floridian.
I'm not sure where else we could go as I don't think our DD's would like any of the fancier 2TS credit restaurants at contemporary. We were wanting somewhere quite relaxed and laid back with a menu the kids will be ok with and where I can get a slipper and mini cake. Is there anywhere I haven't thought of or should I stick with GF cafe?

Thanks

Andrea

Restaurants at the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness are serviced by the CR bakery as well, if any of those restaurants appeal to your family? Also, the Wave (at CR) is pretty laid back, compared to Cali Grill.

I want to order an anniversary cake there are 4 in our party we are staying at the yc in august how early and what size cake should I order??

I ordered a custom mini cake last August (it was made through the contemporary and delivered at lunch at CP). Thanks to the new disboards, I can finally figure out how to share a pic!

The cake was to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. I asked for the balloon design (a reference to Up). I had a great experience with ordering--every detail I asked (like a hidden Mickey in the clouds), was present on the cake. The only thing I would change in the future is that I would probably stick to a standard flavour. I paid extra for red velvet cake, but the cake it so sweet I couldn't taste the flavour well. But overall I was very happy with the cake, as was my partner. In total I paid 50$

I'm am in the process of ordering a cake for my son. I'm stuck trying to figure out what flavor icing and filling options I want. If we do a chocolate cake what filling do you recommend. My son won't like the fruit options. I also don't want it to be to rich.

The cake will have fondant.
We did our anniversary cake chocolate with cannoli cream and dark chocolate mousse filling, and white buttercream under the fondant. That was wonderful as it was not overpowering with the chocolate. The bavarian cream is also really good, but usually paired with a fruit, like sliced strawberries.

Hi everyone!
We are going to disney world feb 18-23 and we are celebrating a birthday on february 20 at La cellier in Canada for dinner. After reading all of the posts I am still confused on where my best option for ordering a cake would be. I want a small 6 inch cake or small 2 tier cake with something lili and stitch themed or thumper not sure which!!. I don't want to spend more than $50. I am not sure whereI should call to order the cake from. I definitely would like to talk to Chef Brian after hearing so many good reviews. Help???

Just want to make sure I am following protocol here....if I want a cake delivered to a restaurant at the Wilderness Lodge, which I understand is serviced by the bakery at the Contemporary, which number from the first post should I contact - the Custom Cake hotline, the number for WL, or the number for CR?? Thank you!

Omg this is exactly what I wanted I have trawled through the Internet for ideas and not found anything I am sooooooo excited to see this.

We need ours at the grand floridian but when I spoke to them on the phone to see if they could do anything with an Up theme and balloons on a mini cake a few months ago but they said not at all unless I have a screen print on the plate. I am really hoping if I tell them someone has had one done even though it was at the contemporary they might say tes to doing one.

I really love yours thanks for posting.

No problem at all! It took a few conversations to get it right, but I was really happy with the results. I don't mind if you want to send the pic to the folks at the GF. I hope they can make something Up-py for you!

You need to call Epcot because you will be dining at Epcot. And because you'll be at the Canada Pavilion and not one run by an outside vendor, your cake will be made by the Epcot pastry chef. Phone number for Epcot is on the first page.

They like it if you call WL first. Then, if what you want is super elaborate, they tell you to call the Contemporary's private dining number. It's a little silly from our perspective as guests, but I guess it cuts down on the number of unnecessary calls the Contemporary gets.

Can anyone tell me where to order a cake from and have it delivered to Biergarten?

Epcot pastry team. See the first page of this thread for the number.

Thanks for the quick response, and just want to clarify....I am looking to order a fancy, fondant coveted cake, so know it will have to go thru CR bakery. Wasn't sure if that made a difference?
