Anyone there now ? Hows the weather and crowds ?

Thanks ehanwa...always informative getting the perspective of a local!

What's happening at DHS is important as it shows what could happen if Disney actually built permanent NEW attractions at the non-MK parks. Not only does it alleviate some of the stress off of the MK but it actually attracts guests to *other* parts of the World.

Anyone that is there now did you get a discount on your room or package ? If so what type was it ?

We were just there @ HS, crowds were relatively high (even for a day that was supposed to be medium crowds according to crowd calendars). That being said, overall it wasn't too bad. Sometimes attractions wouldn't have long lines, other times the lines for those attractions would be longer. Nighttime was crowded as always

Wow I think the Frozen activities have made HS more crowded.

I was there last week. One thing I noticed is that Fantasyland is much more crowded than other areas of the MK. People get off the mine train or A&E and stay there. We walked around Fantasyland just to avoid the masses, if we were not actively riding the rides there.

epcotty...are you talking about Hollywood Studios when you say "nighttime was crowded as always"? When you say you were "just there" do you mean earlier today?

Yeah, we're always there either during summer or around Christmas though, that may not be true all the time but all the times we're there. I was mostly meaning Fantasmic/Frozen fireworks by that. We were there on Thursday last week

The crowds have been better than I expected. We were in MK Friday 8th, Sunday 10th and Monday 11th and Epcot Saturday 9th. We got an enormous amount done by going to RD. On Epcot day, we walked on TT. At RD then played around in the TT car area for a while. Didn't even consider trying Soarin' since we had a FP for later. Finally looked at the wait times and it was 20 min. We walked over there and the wait was probably actually 15. Walked on then did it again later with our FP. Crowds stayed low for a couple hours and even in the afternoon, WS was easy to get around.

At MK , the crowds also stayed surprisingly low until about 11AM. The worst day was today, Monday. Crowds were building in Tomorrowland by 10:30. Two days, we have gotten 4th FP. two other days, we could have, but didn't need to since we were satisfied with what we had done. We leave MK every day by 1:00. When the crowds really roll in, I just don't think it is fun anymore. This year, the afternoon crowds would have been more do-able than other summers though.

Hi JJSMAMA- how did you know/figure out you could get a 4th FP? We leave Wednesday and so far it looks like we can just get the 3. But I really have no clue what I am doing either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks-
Patti

For the 4th, you have to go to one of the FP+ kiosks in the parks. Ask a CM where they are. There are black/ grey and green signs for them. Or just ask a CM where they are. There is also usually a sign telling which rides are still available do you can know before you wait in the line. You won't be able to get the headline attractions, but the others you will. For instance, since we used our 3 by 1:00, we were able to get jungle cruise for later afternoon, which had a long wait by then. We went back to hotel, took our afternoon break, then returned about 5:00. We had a jungle FP and we did carousel of progress and hall of presidents, people mover, etc.

Thank you so much! We just need to use our first 3 and then get a 4th at a kiosk that make sense. I really appreciate it!

We've been here days. Rain beery afternoon. We go at rope drop. Rode TOT twice with no wait today but then it had a 35 min wait. At MK we had a FP for 7dmt at park open and then surprisingly did the rest of fantasyland with barely a wait. I would suggest doing rope drop as the waits grow by eleven

Can you tell me where the locations of the FP kiosks in MK are located?

Don't remember exactly, but the one we used was between Philharmagic and Peter Pan. There is one in FRontierland in one of the pass thru tunnels between adventureland and frontier land. I think there is one in the theatre next to the main entrance. These locations do not look particularly permanent, and so definitely may change.
