Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

Our trip starts Friday and we are so excited to use and show off our personalized MagicBands!!! Hubby's is the metallic blue which started out as a blue one, mine is the red one with bling (can never have too much bling in my opinion) and started out as pink and my daughter'a is done with a "Frozen" theme (colors of Anna's winter attire with snowflakes and glitter "snow") and started as gray. I absolutely LOVE the job she did on hers!!! This was so easy and so much fun to do!!! Thanks for sharing the ideas and tips!!!

For those of you who used glow in the dark nail polish, did you use clear? I've searched online and all I can seem to find are colored glow in the dark polishes. I sort of wanted mine to be clear, more like a top coat.

I got clear glow in the dark at walmart. The brand is " pure ice" and it was $1.97

Did it give off a significant glow?

It's hard to tell since nowhere in my house is dark enough to tell. I'll check it tonight, but in a somewhat dark closet, you could see a faint glow. I'm hoping standing in the florida sun with it, then doing on a dark ride will show a bigger difference.

Just finished the first one using nail polish! All of the silver designs have clear glow in the dark over them. The black outline of the mickey head is ultra fine point sharpie, then there are two coats of clear over the whole thing. I may still add glow in the dark to the grey part, or possibly silver sparkles, but I'm not really a glitter kind of person.
My next project is to turn hubby's grey band into a death star/star wars theme...
20 days to go :)

How long do the nail polish painted bands hold up? When I paint my nails, sometimes it's only a dsy or so before they chip. Sunscreen, lotion, perspiration, wear and tear,.... I'm just wondering how it will hold up. Anyone wear them on a trip yet?

Ours held up great an in fact, still look good from an early Dec trip. We did 3 coats of polish plus a couple coats of clear coat. The only problem we had was a very small amount of cracking at the corners (hardly noticeable at all!) and a couple gems falling off.

Just got back from Disney with our decorated bands!! We had so many people stop us and ask about them...from CM's to resort guests. One guy even thought we paid extra for them!!!

The LSU nail art tattoos held up great. We didn't have any problems with any of our bands chipping or cracking.

Someone asked how we did the LSU one. It was originally a yellow band but I didn't like the yellow so I painted over it with another yellow. I painted the outside lines with the purple polish. Then we painted the purple tiger stripes. After that I put the tattoos/stickers on them. I let dry for over 24 hours and painted a clear coat on it.

Chip and Dale were the funniest ones about our bands. They made us take a picture with them holding up our wrists! I went in to talk to a CM's at guest relations one night and I said "I have a question for you about our Magic Bands" He looked at me and said "First I have to a question for you and how did you get your band to look like that with LSU!?"

It was so funny. One guy even tried to buy it from me! LOL

Anyway here are our other bands we did. Nothing too crazy like my LSU one but we still got loads of compliments. The purple one in this picture got an extra coat of purple and some glitter on it as the final product.

these are three for me and one (blue) for my son. pro tip: nail polish remover allows you to redecorate. the red one used to be my silver snowflake band from up thread. :)

Are the magic bands hard plastic or a soft rubber. We won't get ours for months but I'm still trying to plan on what markers/paint pens might work best.
