The MAGIC is Back!!! ~ WBTA 2014 ~ Come & join the fun!

In 2010 my hotel was several blocks away from Casa Batllo and I took several strolls to check it out. I even did the tour which was amazing. I also thought La Pedrera was beautiful but I only looked at it from the outside so I definitely want to take a tour of the inside next time. Did you make it to Park Guell? That too is another Gaudi masterpiece but getting there was a little tricky, crowds where crazy and I didn't like the vendors. Nevertheless, I will probably go back.

We did not go to Park Guell. Not because we didn't want to, but because two 7-year-olds are not that fun to walk around with for many hours haha. It did look more complicated and was far from our hotel. Not sure if we will go this time, as we are only going to be there for three days and now bringing my other set of parents (dad and stepmom instead of mom and stepdad this last time) so we will play it by ear.

Welcome to all the new cruisers!

We have just gotten the last big problem which may have stopped us from actually taking this cruise, out of the way: DH's boss has agreed to the vacation dates - we can finally start booking flights, yay!

Still in my planning stages right now .... but wanted to get on the boards to be part of this WBTA action that is moving FAST FAST FAST!

This will be my first WBTA and admittedly the draw is not only the newly designed MAGIC, but more so - spending time with some of the lovely people I met on EBTA 2013 - and looking forward to meeting tons more Friends of Mickey!

I am from Dallas, Texas and generally travel with my teenage daughter. I won't be able to pull her out of school for this trip. So I'll be cruising solo but love to hang out with all the fabulous people from DISboards

So a great big HOWDY from the Lone Star State!!

My husband and I are planning our first trip on WBTA too. We don't mind hanging out with singles if you don't mind hanging out with people from Nebraska. This will be our 2nd cruise so there are still lots of things we don't know. Promise we won't be wearing Corn Heads when we travel. Our daughter and family live in San Antonio and we will be driving through your state in a couple of weeks. Hope we get a chance to meet on board. Rich and Pam

For our Med cruise this past June, My in laws stayed at the Casa Camper Hotel Pre Cruise and my husband and I and our 2 DD's rented an apartment because it was much cheaper for the 5 days than a Hotel and it gave us a full kitchen (downside was we forgot to check if it had an elevator before we booked it and ended up having to climb to the 5th floor by stairs). Post cruise we all stayed at Casa Camper thanks to my in laws, they gave us their suite and booked a regular room for themselves.
We used Barcelona Day Tours and saw Montjuic, Monserrat, the outside of the Sagrada Familia (we went back later to see the inside) and Parc Guell. Fantastic Tour

We are looking into having them pick us up at the airport and doing the Barcelona City Tour with them if we can get a couple of other people. That way they'll take care of our luggage, we get to maximize touring time, and then be taken to our hotel. We are coming in 3 days early on Wednesday.
