I've booked my Barcelona flights and 2 rooms at the Novotel Barcelona with breakfast. I've a few Avios points and it cost me £70 for the 4 of us BONUS :thumbsup2

Just need to sort out San Juan to Orlando and hotel for a few days. Can't believe I'm so organised  :dance3:

Hi,

It's with American Airlines. It goes to Dulles first then onto Manchester. I did look into one which left later with KLM but when I was taken to the KLM website through Skyscanner it said that there was no flights flying on the 20th. :confused3

There are other flights which have two stops but I would rather have just the one with having two kids with me.
Might see you at the check-in desk then if we don't meet on the cruise:goodvibes
Agree one stop will be plenty with children, this is our 1st holiday without ours.

Bargain, just managed to book our flights home using Virgin Reward points, just paid £85 each in taxes, so I'm dancing too:dance3: Just San Juan to Miami to book now, which I should be able to do Friday hopefully. I can then start investigating ports/excursions etc :)

Hi

You probably will see me on the cruise, I will be the one driven mad with a 6 and 2 year old :rotfl2: only joking (can't wait it will be my daughters 1st cruise)

What are American Airlines like to fly with and can anybody recommend really cheap websites for airfares?

I saw on FB someone mentioned they booked on Monarch. You might want to give them a look :)

A bit early yet, there are some deals out there if you want to spend a few days in Florida after the cruise, eg Fort Lauderdale into Gatwick Direct on Mon 22nd or Friday 26th Sept at £252pp http://www.kayak.co.uk/flights/FLL-LON/2014-09-26/3adults
Sanford to either MAN or LHR on Tues 23rd at £252 indirect with Icelandair who include 2 x 23kg of luggage http://www.kayak.co.uk/flights/SFB-MAN/2014-09-23/3adults

Can't believe prices some people pay for one way flights, if you are flexible and patient you shouldn't need to pay silly money.

Our daughters were 6 and 2 at embarkation for the Disney Magic eastbound Transatlantic crossing this past May :) and ages 5 and 15 months for the westbound in 2011. They will have a blast! So much fun at that age seeing the characters and family activities.

Our 2-year-old was turning 3 just a few days after disembarkation, and was already potty trained, so they let her go in the Oceaneers Club. Of course ages 3-12 were clumped together and she hated it and literally would not go after the first time we took her (we tried each day when dropping off the 6 year old), so she was glued to me the entire trip, but we still had fun. We also took a NCL cruise from Barcelona to Venice afterwards (in June), where they split the kids club by age groups (3-5, 6-9, 10-12) but in the same room. She asked to go to that one every single day. Go figure. Hoping she will be more into Oceaneers Club in 2014.

I asked on the main cruise forum about a week ago, we could fly 11:30 am or 1:30 pm, most seemed to advise the later one just in case of delays. Not sure wether to risk the earlier one or not:confused3 We're flying to Miami for a few days - rather be on your flight to Honalulu though:goodvibes

Haha, we aren't going home, but instead to DC for a few days to hook up with my other parents (mom and stepdad), who are there for my mom's class reunion.

Totally agree. Saving money all the time is what allows me to travel so much! It would be totally oxymoronic to then turn around and spend too much on airfare.

Using miles for the BCN leg for all 6 of us, I've decided. We will get gold now anyway, because I will be flying a lot to see some specialists in SF.

Welcome to David and Jane!

Thanks for the information would like to pay under£400, can get a flight for about £80 to Florida. Have seen a flight with Condor Air on the Saturday for just over £400 but they get poor reviews

Assume we will get prices from some more airlines in next few days as some only just coming out with prices for end of September

The ones I have seen with Condor into Manchester say operated by Thomas Cook, My dates are £330pp with them. Personally I will fly with anyone who offers a good price, rarely eat plane food, not interested in IFE, I just need a seat and my MP3 player so whoever offers me cheapest price I will use.

I have not booked these flights, that was just one quote I got at £3500. Of course I want it a lot cheaper and will keep looking but we can't be flexible on the return date :sad2: as my son needs to be back in school and my husband has work commitments.

Have you ever cancelled and rebooked after PIF date to get the MTO rate?? It seems to me that the MTO rates don't come out until after the PIF date. I thought about canceling now and waiting for MTO rates but I don't want to risk not getting connecting rooms, which is a must for us... Lol

A bunch of us on the WBPC this spring canceled AFTER the PIF date and rebooked gty status. Even WITH the penalty, we saved a BUNCH.

Sorry if it looked like I was aiming my post at you, I certainly wasn't, it was a general comment about the crazy high prices around now and my opinion is with patience they will drop.

Just had to go back thru your posts to see what you are looking for, is it San Juan to Manchester on the 20th Sept? 2 adults & 2 children? Some on Opodo with a 1 hour connection in Frankfurt total cost for all 4 passengers £1,492.40 (less 1.3% Cashback on Quidco)

Been MIA but life gets in the way and other Disney trips too.:dance3:

But I am booking RT airfare BCN to ORD and back again this weekend end..( am on the EBTA :thumbsup2) Deciding what to do if anything after EBTA..WBTA is set cause I am doing a Med cruise before with Arlene P..

So once the airfare is done, I can focus on other things like chocolate tastings, champagne girls, pub crawls, etc..

So off topic but I hate fast pass plus right now. One day one of us is ineligible the next day it is someone else then the next it works for all of us. Makes no sense calling tomorrow to see if it can be fixed. Sorry for the rant.

I haven't posted here for ages, just wanted to say that I'm still here ;)

The cruise is slowly coming into focus for us as it is now less than a year away, and we are starting to look at flights.

Wishing everyone a great day and looking forward to the next 10+ months of planning.

Hi,

It's ok :). I do agree with you that the prices are crazy at the moment. Yes that is what I am looking for San Juan-Manchester on 20th Sep, 2A & 2C. That's a better price I will check out Opodo. Thanks :flower:

Andrew S. Martin Official reply from DCL... " As part of the re-imagined Disney Magic, the sun deck located on Deck 7 Aft, has been repurposed into a technical space and is no longer
accessible to Guests. In order to support the expansion and other enhancements throughout the ship several areas had to be repurposed. Part of this expansion is the transformation of Topsiders Buffet to Cabanas."
