Who's going in February?

Now I'm freaking out. We already booked everything for feb 4-8 but it seems all our 3 kids under 4 can do is now closed. Someone comfort me and tell me what we can ride!

Totally bumming!!! So many closures. I was ok with missing F! But WOC too! Is tea cups, BTMRR, iSASW, both water rides, Mark twain and and and Ahhh!!!! I'm debating a reschedule :(

I will be taking my second trip to Disneyland Feb 5-12. I'm staying at the Best Western Park Place.

We are going in February and getting APs :banana:so we can go back for at least 2 more trips before they expire(3 if I can get them in). We are either going the 1st-3rd or 15th thru 18th(leaning toward this one).

Well...it looks like the only way we are going to get wet is if we go swimming:sad:
I think if I tell my family that one more thing is closed....I may have a mutiny on my hands.
On the other hand....the crowds should be really low.I hope.:scared:

As sad as I am I'm still onboard. Just can't figure any other time to go! We will make do and still have a blast. (But no tea cups.... Sniff sniff!) I think are park days are going to be 4-6th at least for now lol

Dang, I am so bummed about the refurbs that were recently announced. I'm gonna miss WOC for a second trip, bleh. Oh well, another excuse to go back later, right? :thumbsup2

Yeah...I hear you. Fantasmic was dark last trip for me too! I am never going to see it.
However....I knew going in that when I booked my room in March that there would be closures....so I refuse to get down and look forward to whatever is left.
We are all still going to have an ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS TIME pixiedust:

We just booked our trip for feb 2-6 at the BWPPI. Our first stay there. Little bummed my DS4's favorite 2 rides will be down, but hoping they do something exciting character wise to make up for all the closures! If not its still a great trip! We are celebrating his doctor's decision not to do brain surgery at this time. We will be really appreciating the little things!

Agreed! This will be my first time going back in a couple of years so there will be lots of new things to see anyway! I'm also planning a few extra days for time in other parts of southern California. I can't wait! :hyper:

Welcome to all our new friends:wave2:
I know that the list of closures is growing longer and it seems so disheartening...but we are all going to have sooooo much fun!
I will be wearing my lime green Mickey head so if you see me in the park...please say Hi! I would love to meet my fellow Diser's

Knowing our luck it's going to be quite warm and no water rides!! I hope that with all the park closures that it won't be too busy at the other attractions.

February 5-9 -my son (3) and I along with a friend and her daughter (also 3, this is their first ever trip), we will be staying at DLH.

We are a little disappointed about the closures but since my son wasn't tall enough for them last year he won't know the difference. I will miss the teacups though!

Just thought I would let everyone who is travelling over the weekend of the 8th and 9th,know about the Disney Y.E.S. program. It is for kids 8-18 and gives them an opportunity to learn about the animation process or the physics and motions of the attractions.Parkhoppers for the whole family can be purchased at a greatly reduced rate( not sure howthis works with the current promotion).

I've been monitoring Southwest flights for two months in anticipation of our trip 2/23 - 3/1, and they've constantly stayed at $196 per person each way. Tuesday, it went up to $293 each way. We have 4 people going... and all of a sudden it's $800 more.

Guess we'll get over flying Southwest and do Delta or something. Sigh.

Okay fellow February friends (I love alliteration :rotfl:) I have a what would you do question. We bought the Costco tickets and are booked from Feb. 9-12 at BWPPI. While none of the closures during our week is a deal-killer in and of itself, the totality is frustrating. We have been early February before and like the crowd level and the weather is often nice. We are considering changing our dates to March 8 or 9-12 (would have to return Costco tix). This will be our first trip to Disneyland in 4 or 5 years- so the girls (now 12 & 14) are at a whole new level of what they will like. At first we were thinking of upgrading to passes in February and going back so it was okay to miss so much, but with older parents who rely on us and a dog who needs to be babysat if we are gone this is probably not a good choice. That option would cost $700 for passes upgrade plus each trip would cost a minimum of $600- so instead of that we thought we should just make this one trip super amazing.... if we go that route, it will probably be our only trip for another 2 years or so.

Okay here are pros and cons of moving to March:

Pros: Girls have March 11 & 12 off of school for furlough days, instead of just 2/11; Fantasmic, Mad Tea Party, Its a Small World will be on in March

Cons: It will cost $144 more for tickets, the room will cost about $145 more for all 4 nights if we stay at PPI, if we change to Stovall's cost is the same but smaller room, we don't know refurbs for early March- what if something amazing is scheduled to be down? (when will we know?)

and then...because I must be partially crazy...I started thinking if we moved to March and travel on Friday instead of Saturday (adding a day) we would have to pay $130 for the room or so...but just what if we didn't make that our first day in the parks (giving us 1/2 a day more Disney fun) and instead went to either the Pirates show or Medieval Times.... We have never done anything like that- it is so expensive just to get to LA that we often just jam pack the park experience into 3 days and come home exhausted. We had Universal Studios passes this year and that is what we did- left the Valley at 7, got to the park by mid-afternoon and stayed till closing, got up had fun opening to closing the next day, did a 1/2 day sightseeing the 3rd day and then came home.

Okay I know this is heck of long, so if you have stayed with me thru it- THANKS!! What do you think? Am I missing something? What would you do? :confused3
