2013 fall wonder and magic are out!

I agree - the itineraries are awful. We were all ready to book something for the fall with a good itinerary, and really hoped for a TA. Now, we're going with another cruise line. Disney's offerings are sub-par in my books and I think they have lost their edge for us. What a crazy stupid move - releasing these itineraries so late.

I had been looking forward to the Galveston iteneraries since I hate to fly and I can almost get to Galveston by train...But really..just sucky Mexico choices? No CC? Doesn't sound super appealing to me. And as for marketing you guys are right...they should do some focus on adults. We are not cruising with any kids..but we still like Disney. The parks don't focus entirely on families and neither should the cruise line.

If anyone has booked one of those dates - if you go check your reservations, it's also weird. Will show the dates, but the rest of the information is gone.

After 4 cruises with Disney I think we are done. The ports that are closer to us (LA and Galveston) are insanely overpriced for what they are and the new ships are out of reach again because of prices + very costly airfare to fly across the country.

So sad. We have been watching for a deal on one of the Pacific coast cruises but after waiting and waiting and waiting I've given up and talked myself out of it. On board days are going to be cold and the ship will be a rockin' big time so not my ideal vacation, especially for $3000.

I kind of had my hopes up waiting to see where the Wonder would be for next fall but those are pretty boring itineraries.

I wonder how a 3 or 4 night out of LA would have gone over. With some very clever marketing (land and sea with DL) that could have potentially done really well depending on price. And we might have jumped on board as we are in California at least 3 times a year.

The most telling thing to me that these new itineraries are not getting much action is the fact that there hasn't been a single post with a price for a booking on one of them. When I saw the email from my TA announcing that they were open yesterday, I quickly logged into the DIS to prepare another opening day booking thread. There has been nothing to track! LOL!

So true! :rotfl:

I see that September through December 2013 itineraries for the Magic and Wonder are still gone from DCL's website. What should we read into that?

Maybe someone from DCL realized how bad the itineraries were too. LOL

No doubt! Even their official FB page announced the "new" Magic and Wonder itineraries and asked what interested folks the most ... the responses there are telling as well. Very few excited about the Galveston and Miami itineraries!

I just called and the agent had a hard time getting the info on the September 14th PC re-positioning.

She gave me a cost of $5039.22 for two adults in a 7A.

We are doing an 8 night on the Magic out of Galveston next year so I don't think we will be doing the PC as well unless the price drops significantly. We would consider doing a 7 night on the Wonder early 2014 or a PC back to LA.

At the risk of overposting to this thread ... someone should really do a poll:

On a Scale from 1 to 10, how much do the Fall 2013 itineraries for the Magic and Wonder suck? 1 they are great. 10 they suck like a vacuum ....

That would be an interesting poll ... I'm just saying. :lmao:

Too funny! :lmao:

It's more likely an IT problem, and most of us know first-hand that the online experience with DCL's site has been an issue for many quite often.

I had moved my dummy booking to 12/13 just to park it somewhere, but I'm seriously considering just canceling it and applying the deposit to the one cruise I do have booked and intend to take. I suspect the next cruise I book will be with another line. Which is too bad because I like Disney so much. It's just too many things making other lines look more appealing.

For me personally, it's like yours: A 10.

I AM happy for some people having ports closer to them like Galveston, although I suspect DCL has priced themselves a bit too much with what else is available.

It's Miami that is so disappointing. Not the port - but the fact that they didn't try for some Southern Caribbean ports. Many would have likely jumped on those.

Perhaps DCL were having a super late April fools and they weren't the real itineraries?

And later today they are going to come out with something amazing?!

OK, maybe not ;-)

They're still missing on the DCL website.
???
I'm voting 8 nights out of Galveston with CC and PC ports...
:thumbsup2
Not that that will happen.
Everyone knows I'll go on whatever they put out of Galveston, but I'd pay to bring our relatives with us if we were going on a better itinerary.
Just not GC, CM, Cozumel.

I also noticed that Magic/Wonder dates are now missing from DCL website for late next year. One can only hope they're tweaking them ALOT:lmao: It was weird yesterday, in light of DCL's release of their lackluster dates that I got an email from NCL targeting those of us in the Northeast for cruise deals out of NYC and Boston. Iam tempted to try the Breakaway their new ship sailing out of NYC to Bermuda next summer. I wish DCL would go to Bermuda and try sailing out of NYC or even Baltimore or Norfolk for us folks in the Northeast..

Hey DCL...if you're thinking of tweaking those itineraries...may I request an 8-10 night Southern Caribbean over the holidays in 2013? :flower3:

I'd pay Fantasy prices for that! :)
