ABD Backstage Magic 2/20 - 2/25/11 *** Close to Selling Out***

Without a doubt, the most AMAZING trip of our lives! We made so many new friends, and some memories that I will cherish until my dying day! This was truly a dream come true for me, and I'm just left speechless as to how to describe it! I wish there was a way, but there's really not - just INCREDIBLE, and I'll never forget a minute of it!

Thank you all for making this such a wonderful trip with a wealth of treasured memories.
:thumbsup2

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's photos.

I am so happy for all of you! Until you do a trip like this you can't imagine how it will affect you. We were so unprepared for how close we felt to all of these people at the end of our 5 days together!

I can't wait until April to get to do this again!! I am so excited to hear that there are differences this time around! As long as the shopping is still in, I am good.

We made it home - of course our guide Michael had to give me his disease - so I'm running a temperature and after the flight home I feel like I've been hit by a truck. But it was all worth it - another great trip - another great group. I had a blast and it was so wonderful to meet everyone. Now I'm going to bed and I'm staying there :)

I'm glad that y'all had a fab time and i can't wait untill we go in April!!!

Hey all,
I wanted to say thank you to everyone for making this trip an amazing experience. I had the time of my life!!! I truly enjoyed making new friends that I'm sure I will have for a life time. Thanks to Peter, Walter, John and Kevin for some unforgettable experiences. I hope to travel with The Dis again soon.

The pictures are wonderful. Thank you for sharing so quickly. Did we really do all those things in just 5 days! Did anyone else watch the pre-Oscar show and enjoy thinking that we were walking on the same sidewalk and stairs just days before.

I am sorry to hear so many of you got sick. Luckily I am doing fine except for being exhausted. I never thought I would keep up with all of you for the week but your energy and excitement got me through -- Thank you.

What an incredible trip. I will never forget it and I will never forget all of you.

Keep sharing your pictures.

Carol
It's a great day to be alive!!!

So glad to hear you stayed well! Was worried as we kept dropping like flies. (Although John and I are ok too-helps to have school aged kids around!)

I'm at the Orange County Airport, finally heading home to Seattle. The rest of my trip continued at the same pace as the ABD tour, so I am beyond exhausted but very happy.

I can't wait to start working on the pictures.

Loved seeing your report, Mike!

It was terrific to travel with all of you and share this incredible experience. I look forward to intersecting with you again in the future!!!

I had the opportunity to go back to Hollywood on Saturday and attend a presentation and party with the Oscar nominated makeup artists, yet another "I can hardly believe this is happening" experience.

Get well wishes to our sick ones, and continued robust health to everyone else. I keep thinking that I'm getting a sore throat, but so far I'm on the healthy side. I'm relieved to hear Carol dodged the virus.

You were all amazing and wonderful and I'm glad to have had the chance to go to Disney Nirvana with you!!!

I just received and filled out the online survey from ABD. I told them we needed more backstage visits. More time at the Studios and Imagineering. I also told them the tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills wasn't very good.

That, along with a few more suggestions. :goodvibes

I agree with you, Michael. For me, the first day with the tour of Hollywood and the last day at Disney California Adventure with almost no "Backstage Magic", except for the one very cool experience, were disappointing. Tuesday felt rushed with all the best things of the tour crammed in to one day. I haven't filled out the survey yet. I want to do it with Carol.

Carol came down with Tour Guide Michael's Malady last night. Am I next? I'm popping Airborne like they're Fizzies! (Who's old enough to remember those? I used to put them in my mouth when I was a kidlet and try to convince my little brother I had rabies and would threaten to bite him if he broke my toys. Wasn't I awful?)

Michael

Just to add another opinion......

We happened to love the Hollywood Tour, but I think a lot of it had to do with your driver / guide.

I thought it was a great addition to the Adventure, if you are interested in Hollywood history.

For those who are unaware, the Hollywood Tour was a substitution for the Jimmy Kimmel Live backstage tour because they were not filming that week. I can understand how this tour would be a good substitute or addition for folks who have previously taken the ABD Backstage Magic Tour. I also agree with Kevin that the experience seemed to vary by the tour guide.

Kevin,

I understand your point, and would have loved to have had a good driver, who was versed in Hollywood history and lore.

But after spending all that time on a "Wild Mouse" van ride with absolutely no valid content in tour guide commentary and off color remarks, I would opt out if ever given the opportunuity to Starr Tour again.

Definitely the low point of what otherwise was an incredible adventure.

As you often say, just one person's opinion, don't use this opinion to make your decision.

ps. Hi - Michael, please tell Carol we hope she is feeling better soon!
