Hey Mariezp, thanks for keeping this thread going
We're getting more and more excited, picked up a 2nd hand Disney animated movie Trivial Pursuit game. Going to be playing that lots over the next 21 days!! Yep, 24 days until we leave
Oh boy, an anniversary trip! Sounds like a good excuse to me.35 days till my 8th anniversary trip with the BF. So excited, we are going to eat at Ariels Grotto for our special dinner. We are going to be there the 16th-20th and are staying at the Anaheim Plaza hotel. We are leaving at 6am on the 16th so we get down south super early to have a full day at DL. I am so bummed that Jungle Cruise will be closed till the 18th but thankfully the park is open regular hours that day.
Can't say as I blame you for switching hotels. I'm pretty sure I would be willing to pay a little extra for the convience of not having to tote extra baggage everyday. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your DH and DDs get to make it for the weekend and that you get to get some more time in on those APs.I've switched my hotel. I was able to get in at Stovall's Best Western with the conference rates. The Hojo's entertainment rate is still better, but it will be nice to have my hotel room just one block instead of one mile from the conference center. That means I'll be able to run my conference stuff back to my hotel before making my way into the park. I had been thinking I'd have to bring a backpack with a day's supplies and to carry all my conference stuff to the parks with me in the evening so I wouldn't waste time with making the mile trek up Harbor to drop notebooks, notes, etc. at Hojo's.
The other bit of news is that my DH and DDs may be joining me for the weekend. I don't think a day has gone by since we got back from our trip last month that our 4 year old hasn't asked "When are we going back to Disneyland?" We'll be going for a daytrip in December with extended family, but it would be nice if the rest of the family could get a little more use out of our APs before they expire at the beginning of December.
I bet it is precious when your DD talks about DD. They sure are smart even by the time they are 3! Yeah for DS's first ride on Indy. My DD is 10 and still not brave enough yet. I don't mind cause I love all the kiddie rides best myself.47 days left for me. First time DD (will be 3 just before we go) has really started talking about the airplane and going to Disneyland.
DS6 is very excited to ride Indiana Jones for the first time!
You are getting so close!!!! Almost time to start packing!17 days until we leave for our vacation.
We will be staying at Desert Inn too but will miss you by a few days. We arrive on the 10th. I am so envious! I would love even a day all to myself in the park. Hope you have a fabulous solo trip!I just made reservation at DI&S, so I will be there Nov 5 & 6. It will be just me, myself and I - no children, no adults, no one else to worry about for a whole day and a half. Maybe I will finially get to see everything in both parks.
Sounds like there are a bunch of brave kiddos around here!Hi neighbor we're in the N Ogden area
Yay for a 1st timer and being tall enough for Indy ~ DD was *finally* this past July *her 7th B-day trip ~ she's pretty short*
Good choices! Both are our favorites and what we have decided to do on Thanksgiving Day. I agree that the WOC meal is a little more complicated. I hope we all get to look back on it and think "Boy, it was sure worth it!" Hope we seeeeek! We're getting so close! I just made reservations for a Character breakfast at Plaza Inn, and lunch at Blue Bayou. Now I just need to figure out what we're going to do with WOC. I'm thinking picnic meals, but not sure. I have a LOT of reading up to do on that and feel a little overwhelmed. The past few months have flown by and I haven't been to the boards in weeks! Also going to order our annual passes soon which I am SO excited about.
20 days will pass in no time. Have a magical time.Nov. 2-9 @ POR, 20 more days
I hope you love the tour! We have enjoyed every one we have ever taken. I didn't remember that they did not do tours on Sunday. Must make a note of that in case we decide to take a tour in the furture. Anyway, hope you get a great tour guide and are lucky enough to get a small group. We just booked out A walk in walt's footsteps tour for our first day at the parks on the 11th Nov - was going to do this on the sunday but they dont do them on the sunday so our sunday was now opened up so we can choose between saturday and sunday for MM.
Only 1 more thing to book and thats it!!!
One month does make it sound much closer! Sounds like you have everything pretty much in order! Thanks for the reminder on the Disney Rewards... I got ours ordered. DH has one account and I have another so we get to double up! Be sure to post a pic of your tie dye Mickey shirt. I would love to see it!Down to the last month!

Yeah! We are going in Nov. after all! We just made reservations at CCI last night! We are going Nov 11-14. I'm sure it will be very crowded there then, but I guess that's the way it goes.
Never tried RideMax personally but I could see where it would be useful if a person has a limited amount of time to spend in the park. You're a vet on this site so Im sure you know of it, but you could try RideMax to help deal with the crowds
Straighten me out here. I've got you down for Hojo. Will you be doing a split stay? Just trying to make sure I've got it all posted correctly.WOO HOO! Staying at the CCI too....Life is good.
Dneyland HERE WE COME! For the fourth year in a row we are going ALL of Thanksgiving week. Begining the 21 a sunday and coming back that next saturday! WooHOO! We made ALL of the character breafasts/lunch/dinners and we also made plans for the character meal for thanksgiving in the Ballroom at DLH! :] We are very excited!
Sounds like you will have everything under control! If you survived New Years Day I think this trip should be a breeze!Yes, thanks for the idea. I have tried Ridemax before. And I kind of have the gist of how it goes. We ended up not following the plan exactly but I learned when the best times to hit certain rides was. However, we have learned that if you get there at opening and collect FPs you can still do pretty well. We went on New Years Day once it was PACKED just trying to walk somewhere.
This past summer we noticed that the crowds were different than past summers due to WOC. DCA was more crowded than I've ever seen it. I'm wondering if Ridemax has had time to take into account the new crowd patterns yet.
That is one flaw with RideMax. It can provide best guesses due to past history but it can still only predict what the current day may bring. Good to see that all the changes going on in CA are making a big enough impact on crowds to change things up. We have always liked CA anyway but I am really looking forward to seeing all the new stuff coming.I hadn't thought of the crowd changes and how those would effect RideMax. I was considering getting it as a just in case, but I think we'll follow the FP plan like you did and just wing it
I got an idea!Well, maybe they have accounted for the changes. Or maybe the patterns haven't changed as much as I thought. I don't know. It was just something I was wondering about. I would be interested to hear from people who have used it recently during crowded times.
I have my must-rides for this time of year that we will hit first, and will have low expectations about anything else.
I know what you mean! I am just ready for a break from reality! Just some rest would be great..... but ahhh what the heck... time in the park will be even better!19 more sleepS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How cool is that!! I think I'd be happy even I never left the hotel!!!!!!!!!
Another happy traveler heading for the park and Hojo. Your dates should be pretty good for a little less crowds in the park. The official Christmas season will begin a week before you get there so that should help reduce that crowd and, hopefully, you will be a few days early to beat the big Thanksgiving crowd. Still totally doable and just seeing the park for Christmastime should will help make it all worth it!We're leaving Nov 17, staying at the HOJO.... in DL the 19th-23rd. Hope the crowds aren't TOO terrible! Can't wait to enjoy Christmastime in DL!
3 weeks is good! That's where we are at now which must mean you are even closer!to the November Thread
Hope you have a great time in the parks and that the crowds are managable for you.
And just wanted to add that Im super stoked we are down to the 3 WEEK MARK!!!
November is NICE!!! You are going to love it! The weather is mild. The crowds are manageable. The park is beautiful! What's not to enjoy?Just booked BW Stovalls on Nov. 18-20. I just can't stay away from the Holiday season at DL this year when I am going to WDW in December for the Holiday season. I mostly don't go in November, but it will be very nice to see how DL is during November.
2 trips! Now THAT would really be something!Welcome!
You should be full of holiday magic after two trips! Have a great time!
I bet you will enjoy the holiday offerings but for future reference rain in the park can be a good thing.Since rain is forecasted for next week, we are postponing our trip until November 17-20. I think my kids would rather see the holiday decors anyway, although they'll be disappointed we aren't going next week. The rain would freak them out though.
Staying at Residence Inn! (our usual or Homewood)
Does anyone know if weekdays in November will be ultra crowded????
Sounds like fun! We haven't ever gotten started on pin trading yet but it's probably just a matter of time! Have fun!I bought some vinyalmation pins on ebay yesterday to add to our lanyards and keep some of the nice pins we bought last trip at home *** we cant to get more into trading this time.
Double checked their origin and they were bought at the parks... AUD$12.50 for 4 pins am stoked
An excellent number but getting into the 20s is going to be even better!30 days now, I can't wait!
We will be there too! Have you ever been in the park for TG? This will be our first time and I am so excited! Maybe we will bump into each other! Let me know where you are staying and I will add it to the list.We are headed out ro DL for Thanksgiving - 21st to 27th. We are all so excited!
Can you believe just how fast November IS getting here? Not much longer now! I see you know about those rainy days too.Almost November guys !!!! Hoping for nice weather! Last time there March 2009 we had a rainy day and really it was awesome. We bought those fun poncho's and no complaints...!!
16 more sleeps
6 sounds better to me! I don't know if I have made 6 changes to our plans but I do have the same problem of changing my mind plenty. Oh well, as long as it all works out, right?Crossing my fingers for good weather too!! 18 days to go, and we're considering cancelling our tickets and buying through disney to get 6 days instead of the 5 we got through LMT. Im the worst waffler I know, cannot make a decision without changing my mind 6 times!!
It is a beautiful thing to behold!!!36 days for us!! We are so Excited to see the park's all decorated for Christmas!!
I've seen you around here so long I would have assumed by now that you had definitely been to the park during the holiday season! Yay for the first time! Now let's see if it makes you want to head back for more....November 12th for one day. First time to see Christmas at any disney park.
How exciting! First trips are so amazing! I hope this is the first of many trips to come! We're going 13th-25th (staying offsite).
First ever Disney trip...counting down the hours! Ahhhhh!
Yay for more maps!HEY TRIP PLANNERS!!!!! guess what? i still have maps avaialble!! even halloween maps!! if you need a set to plan your trips plesae let me know!! it really is a good trip planning too when going to DLR
Just booked our Holiday Tour!!!! The 19th at noon! AND hit the 30 day mark today!!!!
Woot! The UPS man came today with our travel documents!!!!!
3 weeks away..so need this trip...looking forward to it!
You are certainly welcome! Gives me something to do to pass the next 21 days!
Guess I owe you a thank you,.... I think. When I mentioned that you had talked about finding your game to my son he told me I needed to get one too! So off I went..... did a little search on ebay.... should never have done that. Do you have any idea how many different Disney version games there are? So I did NOT end up with a trivial pursuit but I did end up buying a Disney Magic Kingdom Board Game (I think I goofed here cause it's Magic Kingdom but the castle on the box looks like DL.), Splash Mountain Sorry, and the Pirates Game of Life. Guess I will now have plenty to help pass me pass the time!
It's 3 weeks for us. Can't hardly wait.
We did change out hotel and are now staying at Fairfiled Inn.
We have breakfast on DD's bday at Plaza Inn, WOC picnics are ordered, and reservations at BBB for DD.
Question: is BBB really worth it? My DD is a girly girl, but I am still wondering from the hairstyles that I have seen if it's worth it.
