So is there really anyway to get a mad hatter style cake under 100 dollars???

Well, the Grand Floridian makes mini cake that they call "Mad Hatter" but it's just a regular shape:

I would like a smaller version of all the ones I've seen, but i see you can't have personalized cakes under 10 inch! Anyone able to get a 6-8 inch one??

I posted on the previous page that I just ordered an 8" one from the contemporary for $100 plus gratuity and tax. I asked for the smallest size they make and apparently it is 8". HTH...

I recently ordered a cake for my DH for our anniversary. I wanted to recreate his Grooms cake for him since he really didn't get a chance to eat it the first time. I called Pat told her all about it and sent in a pic...Donald Duck pin pirate cake. I had no problems with Pat. She returned my calls right away and was very pleasant to deal with.
The first one I ordered was an 8 inch for $70 but I switched it to the Mad Hatter style and the price was $140.
We had it delivered to GFC. My DH loved it! I think it came out better than the first time! Everything was edible which DH thought was really cool and The cake was chocolate with chocolate mousse filling. It was so moist that we were able to enjoy it all week!

Hi, just wanted to share my photo's of my birthday cake that my husband surprised me with at the California Grill made by Brian!

It was chocolate cake, with dark chocolate mouse, very yummy. I think it was around $60.

My hubby then also surprised me and my father with special desserts at 1900 Park Fare.

White Chocolate painted Pluto.
My dad is mad on Pluto and loved it so much, he refused to eat him. Pluto made it all the way home to the UK and still hasn't been eaten!! Price: $30

This was for me. Prior to going to Disney, I spent loads of times looking at the DisBoards and showing him all the food and cakes and giving him lots of hints!!! :lovestruc I'm very lucky!!!

Has anybody ever split a cake on one half do something and something different on the other half. My kids were born about a week from each other and I wanted to get one cake for both. But I have a boy and a girl, I wanted to split the cake down the middle and do toy story for him and princess for her. Has anybody even done this or asked about doing this.

I would also love the answer to this! We'll be there in July celebrating both DD4 and DS2 birthdays and I'd love to do a cake for them, but can't see spending $$ on two.

TIA

I just ordered it for our meanl at Narcoossees and she said I could only get it in white chocolate? Can someone tell me why only white? The CM was far from helpful, unfortunately...
What should I do if we don't want white....

That has always been the case. Those dark choc slippers you saw were not ordered. They were a 'surprise' and if I'm not mistaken, all were a 'surprise' at CRT, not GF.

As far as I know, no one has had luck specifying white or dark choc for the slipper.

I had my plans all made for my DS birthday cake in May.... Well you know how things go and now My DH and DS want to go to hoop de doo for the night I had planed for birthday.
So has anyone gotten a cake there? and who do I call for one?
Thanks for any help

Is there a site where I can find the information on what types of special desserts/cake would be available to preorder at the Hoop Dee Doo to celebrate a bday?

just saw the cake chatter thread- I'll look thru that but still would like to know if there is a website to look at choices, see pricing?

No website. It would be nice but no there isn't. You can call the cake hotline and thye can help you decide what you'd like. I ordered a 10in chocolate cake w/ chocolate fudge filling and white butter cream frosting for our DD's b-day @ HDDR. I was great although we had to tip our waiter $15 for the cake. I was a bit shocked by that. But it was worth it.

moved your posts to the cake chatter thread :)

There is a cake gallery, go to the first post and see all the pretty pics, there is no chatter there, just pictures

Have fun!

So excited I finally got rid of DH for a few hours and I was able to call in room dining at AKL. I ordered the zebra cake. DH LOVED the amarula he bought 2 bottles of it to bring home so when they said that it had the amarula cream in it I knew that was the cake. I also orderes the toasting package with Magicale to be delivered to our villa with it. Now I just have to get DH his watch and my anniversary present to DH is complete. Thanks for all your help.

Now to decide what to order for the kids when we go on Dec!!

Hello everyone. I have been reading the posts for several weeks now, trying to get ideas for our up comming trip. Today I noticed a small cake from the GF posted by lurkyloo. This size would be great for us. I was looking for some more info - should I call the GF bakery to order? was the decorations a custom order? flavor? and price?

Thanks for all the help. All of the cakes are just beautiful !!!

ok Folks, we are getting to the 250 page per thread maximum.

Any ideas or suggestions for guidelines for new thread? :confused3

thanks!
