Help! I'm a DLRP Menu addict!!

I always do too! :goodvibes

I love Swordfish, so it was about the only thing I wanted off the menu....!! :lmao: I think it may only be on the more expensive set menu though (39Euro I believe) so you might wanna check that before you go in.... We ordered two courses each, and Robert had a soft drink and I had a non alcoholic cocktail and it cost 73Euro, so that might give you an idea of a la carte prices?

Oh yes, no kiddies here! I couldn't dream of going to Disney and not dining at Cafe Mickey.... The characters definately come and see you, and if they didn't I would happily go and ask why they weren't when I'm paying for a character dining experience! :rolleyes1 Thats just me though!

I'll definitely check that out, with drinks(and delicious swordfish:laughing:) that doesn't seem too unreasonable...I mean I could easily spend that here in Dublin on a not so tasty or Disneytastic meal...and we will be on holiday after all!thanks for the info :goodvibes

no you're dead right, if you pay for characters you are entitled to characters! I'm sooo excited for CM, it'll be our first ever character meal and hopefully not our last!

xoxo

I hope you like it now I've hyped it up so much!!

CM has given me the bug for character dining, but Robert doesn't fancy any of the other character meals.... :headache:

Okay - here is my first questionette for the amazing powers that be on this thread!!:worship:

We are hoping to have plenty of amazing food in DLRP when we go in October. But if you guys had to pick just one special meal experience, where would it be?

We've been to Walt's before and loved it so much - we're thinking about The Blue Lagoon - where else would you suggest for that special family meal?

Our girls are 13 and 16 and quite adventurous!

Thanks!

The most special meal experience I've ever had in Disneyland Paris was at the California Grill in the Disneyland hotel. We ate there as a special treat to celebrate our engagement... We were greeted warmly by name, and sat with a full view of a beautifully lit up castle.... :lovestruc The food was outstanding, the waiting staff superb... I just can't praise the meal highly enough....! I wrote a full review with pics on the California Grill reviews thread.... :thumbsup2 It is rather expensive though....

Another place for something special would be the Steakhouse in the Disney Village- The food there is amazing.... :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 The Piano player performing while we ate was a lovely touch!

We loved the Blue Lagoon too.... I've just been raving about it earlier in the thread!

I'm not sure if its open for lunch.... I would be curious to know though....

When we were there last time I had the most delicious seabass, but I know you don't like fish.... Robert had an amazing steak there though.... He didn't stop raving about it for ages!! :lmao:

:lmao: There were quite a lot of different options on their menu besides steak.... Someone on a table near us was having a vegetarian pasta and it looked really really REALLY yummy!!

We're definately going to Walts! Having looked at the New Menus Small World has posted up (Gosh I love that lady!) the menu looks back on track! The burger appears to be back too!!! The Blue Lagoon and Silver Spur look good too- My choice has been made so difficult now!

we are definately doing walts bob. the menu is perfect for us a few choices for both my mom and i. i am a bit put off the silver spur menu. my mom doesnt eat steak and im not sure if she would eat salmon so that just leaves the pasta. i would like the ceasar salad but it mentions anchovies so it must be really fishy. i like the mickey macaroon desert thingy i think thats new.

The burger does look to contain Foie Gras though.... Don't know if that effects your choice?

I can't see too much of the Silver Spur Menu, but I love the sound of the salmon... :cloud9:

They're doing the Mickey Macaroon dessert at the Blue Lagoon too.... Robert quite likes the sound of that!

I'm a bit disappointed on behalf of the vegetarians though- Nearly everywhere seems to be doing basil pasta!! There also doesn't seem to be a veggie set menu at the California Grill anymore... :confused3

fois gras in a burger

im not sure what it tastes like but i dont like the sound of it :rotfl:

bob you know my taste in food all too well :rotfl2:

you really keep on top of your job!!

I'm really disappointed by the changes that they've made to the blue lagoon menu.

This was always somewhere that I've struggled with wanting to eat at due to being quite fussy, but every time they change it, they seem to alter or remove something that I like the idea of.

First time, they changes the sweet potato fries that came with ostrich steak to fried plantain. Now, they seem to have removed the fillet of beef from the menu :sad2:
