Bonjour!
Also I want to show you my work :flower3: I very proud of myself, my DSis is helping me a little.
th_8dd50a99.jpg

The doll is a Corrole because we dont have american girl here in montreal...

As you all may know...I am 40 something....:goodvibes and I have learned two things in life....

First, never sign something without reading it first, and

Second, never make travel plans and depend on someone (money-wise) who is not your spouse.

What happened you ask? My "friend" who I was traveling with to come meet you all at the Big Feb Dismeet....just dropped a bomb on me this morning. She was, for some reason, under the impression that I was paying for her flight ($304) to Disney. :confused3 The topic was never discussed. And it wasn't until this morning after she made flight reservations for us (last night) that she bothered to tell me this information (this morning). She says I agreed to it on a cell phone conversation three months ago. :confused3 Nope not one mention of it for the past 3 months even though we have spent hours talking and planning the whole event. And when she talked to me last night before making the plane reservations....nope no one mention of it then either. :confused3 At that point I had agreed to the $304 and that's how we left it. I was giving her a check this morning. And thats when she sprung it on me that I owe her $608. :sad2:

I am so shocked and hurt that she would make something up like this and lie to me....:sad2: :sad1: Needless to say, I am not going now. I wouldn't trust her at this point. Its not about the money so much as the whole "made up story". Its not even logical that I would agree to something without knowing the prices.

OK I will stop babbling about it now...I just wanted to let the FEB DISMEET people know what was going on. :sad1:

Thanks I was thinking it might be there. Just wasn't sure!
I am making an outfit for my niece who is an average 6 year old. They live in VA so I can't run right over and measure her.

I like to use this one because they include measurements that aren't included on store size charts. They also have infant measurements. Most stores I've checked only use weight/length so they aren't very helpful to get actual measurements of the clothes.

Chart for standard measurements

Love the Doll robes! They look great!

Cathy  I can't imagine assuming someone else would pay my airfare :confused3

This is the 2" Minnie Dot I got at Hancocks, I'm assuming it is the same as the stuff that's on sale.

and just because this photo was right next to it in photobucket:

Teresa's Super Walmart has fabric and the celebration center, too. My walmart just has the fabric department and a huge craft section (that they don't call the celebration center, but it has the same stuff). My Walmart still has $1 fabric and quite a bit of $2 fabric. But, Teresa's has changed to $1.50fabric and $2 fabric. It's weird how they charge different amounts for the same stuff!

YAY!!! So, are you saying if you could rent out your condo that you might staty onsite?

I'm glad you're sharing your crabby mood with everyone else today! :rotfl:

Side note: Jessica, Steph, Teresa, and I have all been exchanging crabby e-mails all morning. It seems we all woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. (Either that, or just I did and I put everyone else in a bad mood) :rotfl:

:
i think i am the cranky queen today, i just spent 2 hours doing kindergarten homework with ryan, and lets just say that my sweet patient preschool teacher personality was not shining thru as he was making sloppy letters, all the while mia is screaming and yelling because i blocked the refrigerator with a chair because she keeps opening it, so she moves the chair opens the eggs takes one out and throws it on the floor,i am getting a cold, and if that s not enough i read that other walmarts sell 2 dollar fabric, almost every bolt in my walmart is $4.44. as my dear friend alexander says this is a terrible, horrible no good very bad day.
ok rant over i promise thanks for listening
HI guys! Just wanted to check in. I have been so sick and tired and busy that the minute I get to sit down I'm usually passed out in a chair or just going to bed. I am feeling really crappy. SO I wanted to let you all know that I have not forgotten about you and I am ok. Hopefully I'll have a chance to catch up a little later in the week.

I did want to let you all know that I am now an official Mini Van owner :headache: I am so old...
its not so bad , especially with power opening doors

Here is my Feliz. It is for Tinkerbelle's Ashling. I will try to get my model to try it on when they come home. I am not sure I can talk him into all this ruffly goodness.
th_IMG_3784.jpg

th_IMG_3783.jpg

This is just delicious!!

I've been a lurker for sometime and I absolutely love all of your designs. I finally got up the courage to do a little sewing myself. It is so hard to get creative when you have a DS of 3. Here are two outfits that I just finished along with a couple of other things that keep me busy. Thank you all for your inspiration. You make beautiful things.

th_IMG_1453-1.jpg
th_IMG_1450.jpg

Love these!

Everything looks great, ya'll.

I agree about the Feliz. The first one is the hardest, and each one gets easier and faster after that. I really enjoy these patterns though. I find then very forgiving and easy to alter for a custom fit.

Here is a Anna Christmas dress I did recently.....
dsc_0455-1-1.jpg

This is sooooo pretty - I love it!

Where, where, where did you get the Star Wars wrapping paper??? We leave for WDW in less than a month, if this is available anywhere between Buffalo, NY and Orlando, FL PLEASE let me know! We're driving and I can stop anywhere to buy this for my little Star Wars addict!!!

This is sooooo pretty!

Bonjour les filles!

Two questions for you:

1) What's with all the leg warmers? Did you not live through the 80's? Do we need to bring back stirrup pants too? I don't get it :confused3

B) Is it bad that I've never seen The Nightmare Before Christmas? What am I missing here?

I'll go crawl back under my snow covered rock now!!!

And for those of you not on FB you might remember that we have to move, and the previous occupants moved and let their 19 and 20 year old kids live in the house unsupervised. Need I say more? I have chapped hands, and I've discovered that a Magic Eraser doesn't remove 5 year old ball point pen from walls! I think I may have convinced DH that we all need to go to San Diego for Spring Break! (Thanks for the idea Jon and Kate + 8!) We so need more than one vacation this year!!!

Well I've got to go and try to find a hunky housepainter for the new place - why is it that the yellowpages don't tell you if they have ripped abs and will paint shirtlesss??

Stephanie

I have some in my closet! I am in Atlanta, feel free to stop by!

I actually got ours at target but years ago. They probably have it again this year though as it is still so popular! I saw HSM, Hannah and Wall E christmas paper at Kohl's the other day!

Here is what I made for the Ambergreenawalt Big Give. Jessica is making a coordinating outfit for Sebastian.

IMG_2249-1.jpg

Lily has her dance leotard on under there, apparently she is still in ballet mode :rotfl: and she is a 3 year old modeling a size 24 month outfit :scared1:

IMG_2261-1.jpg

The hat for Sebastian and fur cuffs are pixie dust from my SIL

IMG_2251.jpg

Those are resized in photobucket, so hopefully they will behave themselves soon. :confused3 we really don't need to see the ball-point pen scribbles on my leather chair.

Earlier this year a new Wal-Mart opened in our town and it has the "celebration center" in it and I have to agree that it is crap. It is mostly Martha Stewart stuff and I just don't care for her stuff. I just hope that we don't lose either of our fabric departments in my area.

I know one of the Wal Marts near or in New Iberia has TONS of fabric. I go crazy everytime I have to go to New Iberia to get hubby there.

I just got this email from Target:

I live in New Iberia and the Wal- Mart doesn't have fabric anymore. I was upset about it and to top it off our Hancock fabric store went out of business. I just thought I would let you know so you won't be disappointed next time you come here.

I am so sorry that your friend was so flaky. I agree that you should not trust this person with something so important as your trip. But still it is bad that you can't go.

OMG, ball point on leather. I have used saddle cleaner on my van seats, you might want to give it a try.

The outfits are just too cute and they look adorable on your daugther. I am sure they will fit.

Too late, I saw the stirrup pants at TCP last week. I wonder why they were clearanced so low :lmao:

Oh my goodness! Those skirts are fab!!! Do you use a pattern for them? I don't usually care for that type of skirt, but those are adorable!!!

Thanks! The first time I made one I used the double layer stripwork skirt pattern from YCMT but I just make it up as I go along now.

While you are over on the Big Give board checking out Becca's Big Give, I'm adding another new family! mom2lilnick! Check out their PTR: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1982442 Nick is 5 (almost 6) big brother Noah is 9 and Kayla will be 13 when they go. Please help out on this one if you can, especially if you are able to do "big boy" tee shirts (iron ons are great!) or something for a 13-year-old girl who loves brown and pink, dalmations, mickey, tink etc. THANK YOU!:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Have you seen The Children's Place for their stirrup pants?? Some things should be just left in the past!!

Good luck finding the housepainter! When you do, can you send him to So Cali??

Apparently they have a disclaimer on their site saying they are responsible for errors on their website? I know lots of people on lots of sites are upset!

Oh that is just WRONG!!! :sad2: Any way you can come by yourself and just leave her at home???

I am so sorry she is doing this to you.

I made a few more doll things this weekend.

A simple muslin nightgown. Thanks to Steph saying that they peasant top was hard to get on I made the back with a seam (I still have to put a snap or something back there.

DSC_0037.jpg

I also made a robe and didn't read the directions and made the first one wrong. I wasn't supposed to sew the trim down in the front. But that's OK because my DD really wanted white with red not red with white trim. And I made a solid white one for a friend for Christmas. She's getting a Kit doll and I thought it would be too hard to match Kit's nightgown (without having it in person). I was afraid the all white would be boring but I really like it now. And the best part was these were all out fabrics I had in my old stash.

Lisa, thanks for the measurements site. I normally measure at gymbo too! Did you know that they usually have a tape measure in the drawer near the cash register??
