Thank you all for your good words. Yesterday I got 2 Nemo bandana at the dollar store near my house so I can make my DS some Nemo banada play pants... I can'T wait to see how those turn out!

Cute doll clothes. I can't help you with a pattern because I didn't use one for the skirt. I just cut out 24 3" strips and attached them on a 10" x 44" strip of material. I folded the big strip in half, made a casing at the top, added the strips and lined the back. It wasn't difficult.
Thank you, I'll try my best at finding something... :flower3:

Ok you guys are BAD BAD BAD!!!!! i just saw that i can order fabric from hancocks! OMG you guys are going to get me in trouble! i just spent $$ at the vera site, now hancocks......uh oh.

EYE CANDY ALERT!!!! I hate ellen but she hs some major eye candy on right now, so i guess the channel can stay...

HI guys! Just wanted to check in. I have been so sick and tired and busy that the minute I get to sit down I'm usually passed out in a chair or just going to bed. I am feeling really crappy. SO I wanted to let you all know that I have not forgotten about you and I am ok. Hopefully I'll have a chance to catch up a little later in the week.

I did want to let you all know that I am now an official Mini Van owner :headache: I am so old...

ENABLER ALERT:

MINNIE DOT FABRIC $1.99 a yard

http://www.hancockfabrics.com/Red-D...VproductId48187228VVcatId537258VVviewprod.htm

I just ordered a bolt (10 yards). . . don't even have kiddo's (yet), but planning on saving it and making things for others (like big gives, Christmas gifts, etc). . .

Hope this helps any of you who may want it or want to stock up!!

I will DIE if I don't get this fabric! I have been looking for Minnie Dot for years! YES, literally years! So I ordered some, hopefully it will come! WHOO HOO! Thanks! I didn't even take a second and look for a coupon!

If you are so inclined, could you keep my brother, Ed, in your prayers tomorrow? He has had gastric bypass surgery (twice) and has lost a LOT of weight. Tomorrow he is having surgery to repair a hernia, and basically a tummy tuck, back tuck, leg tuck, etc. etc. etc. His surgeons wanted to do it all at once, and it's going to be approximately a 9 hour surgery and will take at least 6 weeks to recover. He's the only member of my family that I have left, there were only two of us and both of our parents are deceased. I just feel really nervous about the whole thing. Thanks

Prayers

YAY!!! So, are you saying if you could rent out your condo that you might staty onsite?

I'm glad you're sharing your crabby mood with everyone else today! :rotfl:

Side note: Jessica, Steph, Teresa, and I have all been exchanging crabby e-mails all morning. It seems we all woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. (Either that, or just I did and I put everyone else in a bad mood) :rotfl:

a) yep, that's what I'm sayin'--Teresa, you sure you don't want to come to the dismeet? :rolleyes1
b):snooty: y'all have been exchanging crabby emails without me? You know I'm soooooooooooooooo good at crabby emails! :snooty:

Glad you checked in T! And sorry, but feeling crappy and tired and pregnant is a good thing. I used to have a mini van. I hate to say it but I loved that thing! Decent gas mileage, TONS of storage/trunk space, fit all kinds of kids, dogs etc. I could lift my whole stroller into the back easily without even collapsing it.

Well, I had to look and put some in my "cart" but I then decided I can't buy it since I have so much other fabric. However, I did want to mention that all LICENSED COTTON prints are 50% off. They don't have much in stock, though

Do you think that they are 50% off in store too? It's about an hour to the closest Hancock, but that might make it worth the trip!

Hey guys gotta question! What size charts do you all use for standard kids sizes? I know some are more realistic than others. It's been mentioned before, I just wasn't paying attention!

Got a stomach bug kid today, He gets really upset when he "gets sick"! Poor kid. He is feeling a little better this afternoon though!! YAY!!

I also broke the screen on my digital camera this weekend!! I am so bummed!

Oh that is a bummer on the camera..
I use Gymboree for my standard measurements

Thanks I was thinking it might be there. Just wasn't sure!
I am making an outfit for my niece who is an average 6 year old. They live in VA so I can't run right over and measure her.

Welcome back!!! I love the pictures!

I've been a lurker for sometime and I absolutely love all of your designs. I finally got up the courage to do a little sewing myself. It is so hard to get creative when you have a DS of 3. Here are two outfits that I just finished along with a couple of other things that keep me busy. Thank you all for your inspiration. You make beautiful things.

th_IMG_1453-1.jpg

GREAT stuff!!!! I bet you want to join our Big Give, don't you! (Link in my siggy)

If you still need someone to print, I am more than happy to do that for you. I don't have mad sewing skills yet but I would like to help.

Just PM me and let me know what you need.

This one is full, but I'll be posting another one right after I finish this mulitquote!

I was wondering if someone could direct me to the directions on how to make legwarmers out of socks. I found some pretty cool socks today and thought I would give it a try.

Thanks!

I know it's been answered, but I try to bookmark most every tutorial that is mentioned on here. I'm even starting to add pictures! :thumbsup2

I just scored 6 BRITAX marathon car seats for $300.28. Regular price is $279.99 for 1. Target.com has 2 patterns on sale, cow 59.99 and granite 42.99 with free shipping and I got an extra 10% off with my AAA membership. My daughter heard about it on the budget boards and called me. She didn't know I got the extra 10% with my AAA. I bought 1 for each of my 2 nieces baby's that are on the way. My daughter wanted 1 and my son wanted 3, 2 for them and 1 for his mother-n-law.

WOO HOO!!! Great deal guys!!!! I love the Britax seats!!!

Bonjour!

Also I want to show you my work :flower3: I very proud of myself, my DSis is helping me a little.

The doll is a Corrole because we dont have american girl here in montreal...

:welcome: !!!!! Does AG ship to Montreal? Arminda just got her first AG doll the other week, Samantha, thanks to Aunt Heather! :lovestruc

Sorry about the spelling and grammer :) I am in a hurry. I am having surgery in the morning and I need to get to the grocery store. I would appreciate your prayers.

Thanks!

I hope your surgery goes smoothly!

My husband said We need more carseats? We have one sitting in the garage floor I have Britax seats for my DGD4&2, and 1 waiting for the baby to move to. I had purchased a Regent for my DGD3, she is very tall, when I was babysitting her. They put her in daycare this year so I gave that seat to my son for their car. It didn't fit my DD's girls. They are very petite and the seat was too big for them. I have a minivan and I have 4 carseats in it. I have to pull one of the babies seat base when I have an extra passenger. No one can get their bum in between the 2 carseats that are in the backseat so I can only seat 6 people.

GOOD GRANDMA!!!!! If there was a Good Grandma award smiley, it would go right here--------------> <--------------------Right there

Arminda has the Regent, and I am considering getting it for Lydia too. I'm just hoping they come out with something I like better!

Go right ahead and talk yourself into it. To good of a deal on a great car seat. The only kind I buy! I tell my husband to always lock the door. We ahve more money in car seats and strollers in my car i'ts crazy
Heather and I say that too! If only people knew what a fortunes worth of carseats we had in the car! They are by far the most expensive things I'll ever have in my car!

I did some sewing on Friday night. I made Madi these overalls with leftover's.

Too cute!!!!
I've got a lot of flack for Sawyer's hair and it's not even that long! I think he looks adorable and I can't imagine how he'd would look with super-short hair.
WHAT??? Why?? I love his hair!

Cute! I knew Cookie Monster has no nose because my sister and I had him in puppet form when we were growing up. We also had Kermit the Frog. Big Muppet lovers here so I am loving your shirts!!

David had an Oscar the Grouch, and I had a Cookie Monster puppet! I think Heather has the Oscar now, but I dont' know where my Cookie Monster went! I wonder if it was the kind you had? There was some sort of little loopy thing inside of it that you were suppose to pull, but I never could quite figure out what it was suppose to do.

Okay, I just have to say, I JUST ADDED 2 DAYS TO MY FEBRUARY TRIP!!![/SIZEapparently someone finally sent him the script of "What to say to your wife"

When he is done with that, could he send it to Brian????

Oh, and the celebrations section is CRAP!
So, Jessica, are you trying to tell us that you don't really care for it??

:rotfl2:

Jessica said the C word!

I finished the second set of dresses for my girls. I really need to keep moving because I am already behind on my sewing schedule.

These dresses are for a day at the Magic Kingdom. Please excuse the unmade bed. All of my DD's bedding ended up on her sisters bed. I still have not gotten a straight answer:confused3

I go back and forth quite a bit about the red and pink color combo. I do really love it on these dresses though. I am thinking about buying red and pink puddle jumpers to go with the dresses. Well, and bows of course!

Aimee! I LOVE the Dumbo and that fabric!! Hanna looks adorable!

Speaking of Big Gives......

I hope everything goes well for Ed.
Teresa's Super Walmart has fabric and the celebration center, too. My walmart just has the fabric department and a huge craft section (that they don't call the celebration center, but it has the same stuff). My Walmart still has $1 fabric and quite a bit of $2 fabric. But, Teresa's has changed to $1.50fabric and $2 fabric. It's weird how they charge different amounts for the same stuff!
I thought my Walmart had $1 fabric when I was there a few days ago. Then again, I don't know that I payed that much attention! They keep telling me they dont' have room for more fabric, but I keep telling them how I think they could arrange it to fit way more in there. They just LOVE me at my Walmart! :rotfl2:

I'm glad you're sharing your crabby mood with everyone else today! :rotfl:

I'm not in too bad of a mood, because I just posted a new Big Give for a family that I think is just fantastic!!! But, more on that in my next post!

MINNIE DOT:

I was just looking at the description on Hancocks.com and it says the dots are 2" in diameter. Those are some REALLY big dots! The Minnie dot that most have used have 3/4"-1" dots.

Just wanted to give anyone considering an order a heads-up!

Heather is a measuring savant.
I can simply explain something to her, and she will tell me how big it is! And, when I measure it, she is always right! I think she should go on Letterman!

PLEASE don't do too much T! I'm glad to know you are feeling crappy, I always consider that good sign! :thumbsup2

I love my Mini van!

I will DIE if I don't get this fabric! I have been looking for Minnie Dot for years! YES, literally years! So I ordered some, hopefully it will come! WHOO HOO! Thanks! I didn't even take a second and look for a coupon!

Jessica, you are dramatic today! I love it! Our Joann had Minnie Dot not too long ago, do you have a Joanne near you, they should be able to order it for you. Heather can tell you exactly how big the dots are though!
Prayers

a) yep, that's what I'm sayin'--Teresa, you sure you don't want to come to the dismeet? :rolleyes1
b):snooty: y'all have been exchanging crabby emails without me? You know I'm soooooooooooooooo good at crabby emails! :snooty: .

I wish I could go to the Dismeet, we could have a crabby party together! Not to mention I DESPISE and HATE Februarys, and now I will be all alone for a whole week of that horrible nasty miserable month while Heather, Mom, Tessa, and Sawyer are galivanting around in the Florida sunshine without even a though about poor little Teresa, sitting home, freezing in the dark gloomy, icy, cold, depressing Michigan February in their heads.

But, other than that, I'm real happy for you guys! :rotfl:

Hey guys gotta question! What size charts do you all use for standard kids sizes? I know some are more realistic than others. It's been mentioned before, I just wasn't paying attention!

I also use gymboree since most can relate with there. LisaZoe posted a great source one time too. I saved it but on my other computer.

Okay, I wasn't quoting since I was on a different computer, but Heather made me grouchy today! I am not sure why either. Funniest thing is I have had a pretty good day, better then most!

About the serger, not that I remember who asked now, but I don't have it yet. I ordered it online and got a Brother. I can't remember what model though. I hope I LOVE it! I don't use one very often.

And I am scanning pictures and found a big hair picture! So I'll be posting it in a bit. I know, I am always behind, usually 50 pages when we post pictures!

Lots of beautiful things posted this weekend!!!!

asfarrell-your DD is so cute in the customs you purchased her but I wanted to say if you can make curtains you really ought to try out the easy fit pants on www.youcanmakethis.com I think you'd be surprised how well they come out and that would give you confidence to try something else.

LOVE that Dumbo!!!

Awww..how cool that you have them on the bed. I just love the piece that I have and am really trying to think what I could make out of it!
I think it would work perfect in a Bowling shirt and I know you can that!!!!

Hey Piper, can you fix your signature? I'm dying to see what the fireworks mickey heads are!!

:sad2: I know I should be dis owned for not wanting an embroidery machine but to be honest I dont think I am ready for one. I am afraid to attempt it. The dora overalls were an attempt at a aplique but I chickened out and made it so it has frayed edges. :sad2:

I made a few more doll things this weekend.

A simple muslin nightgown. Thanks to Steph saying that they peasant top was hard to get on I made the back with a seam (I still have to put a snap or something back there.

I also made a robe and didn't read the directions and made the first one wrong. I wasn't supposed to sew the trim down in the front. But that's OK because my DD really wanted white with red not red with white trim. And I made a solid white one for a friend for Christmas. She's getting a Kit doll and I thought it would be too hard to match Kit's nightgown (without having it in person). I was afraid the all white would be boring but I really like it now. And the best part was these were all out fabrics I had in my old stash.

I know where you can buy it.;) The collar is easy if you follow Carla's directions and you could do snaps with "decorative" buttons!:thumbsup2

Or someone did one with no buttons at all and it looked cute.
