I saw a lady pick up a cake at Boardwalk Bakery this weekend. She was on her way to the boat launch, so she must have been staying at one of the other Epcot restaurants. I didn't see the cake, so I don't know how nice it was.

Thank you! At least now I know it's an option! I might call and order one for the day our friends are scheduled to check in so I can have it at the condo for them when we arrive! :goodvibes Hopefully they're nice!!

I am confused a little. Did the price go up? I am thinking about ordering it and was kind of wondering what to expect when I call.
Thank you!! :goodvibes

Yes, so far it has only gone up at GF, not CRT. It is now $20 at GF. Still $12.50 at CRT.

I'm staying at WDW Hilton in DTD in December. Would like to have a cake delivered to our room for mom's bday. Does anyone know if Boardwalk delivers there or if any other WDW bakery will deliver there?princess:

Down at Everything POP they have the standard 6in cakes. They are labeled with what kind of cake it is. I think that is the only thing available there.

Well they have their own cake order number so I thought they would have different ones available. I am going to try to call today and check, I'll let you all know what I find out.

I have never heard of them delivering out there. You can go to Boardwalk Bakery and pick up a cake. Most only deliver to the resorts or restaurants which they are closest too.

What beautiful cakes!! Which place had the best? Going in January and celebrating DH's 30th DD's 2nd DD's 1st and my 25th. Not sure Where to go or what to order so trying to get ideas. Not sure how many to get either. So many choices!! :yay:

I just got off the phone with the chef at Pop. We ordered an 8inch cake, our choices were white cake w/white choc. frosting or Choc cake w/choc frosting. He said they get them daily from the boardwalk bakery so I don't understand why our choices were so limited. We did get to have something written on it as well.

Are they able to put an image on the cake? How much did it cost? TIA!

I have what is probably a silly question about the mini castle cake. I've checked the price list on the first page and have seen pictures. Is it $25 for the whole cake, meaning the cake and the chocolate castle? Or is it $25 for the cake alone, and then you pay extra for the castle? I'm so confused! I am thinking of ordering either this or the slipper dessert for our tea at the GF. Does anyone have an opinion on which tastes better?

TIA!!!

The price includes everything, the cake and the white choc castle statue on top, however, the price has increased to $30 now.

I've ordered both the cake and the slipper dessert and we think the cake was better than the slipper.

The slipper is good but very rich (the mousse inside).

The cake was moist and yummy!

Both are great dessert though to make a meal very special.

Dairy and Egg free cake from Whispering Canyon - Frosting tasted like marshmallow and cake was rich, kind of chewy. Very good.

$45 for 10 inch Cake

HELP! I want a REALLY good cake from Chef Mickeys! I love the look of the Mickey cake but is it as good as the other special order cakes? Should I get the mickey head or have one customized? We are leaving for a Disney Cruise the next day and thought it would be fun to do something for that? TIA!

Just got back - will upload photos and post later -

1. I had called Grand Floridian to order a slipper dessert for the Grand Tea and was quoted $20, but was charged $14 (and it was great!! We couldnt eat the chocolate candy filled with mousse so they gave us a box, we did the parks for 3 hours maybe, and ate it when we got back, a lil mushed, but delish!!)

2. Cake at 1900 Park fair with a white chocolate Tink Topper ended up costing us $50 and it was a total and complete waste - the cake was lovely to look at - but it was too big to finish in one week with the 3 of us, our server took 45 min to bring it to us (and yes, I asked her 3 times -finally dh gave up went to the restroom, and yep that's when she brought it out - I promised not to make a scene - but between that and where we were seated we'll never eat at 1900 again! ) I also found the bottom layer of cake to be dry, but didnt realize it because we had to get dd back to the resort, and we had a fridge we cut it as soon as we got to pop - and that's when I realized I should've made a scene!!

3. Freebies - it was DD bday on the Tuesday of our stay - she was given cupcakes, and at LeCellier they filled a choc cup with mousse - it was every bit as good as the slipper dessert - only better FREE!!

4. We ate breakfast at the Boardwalk BAkery and they had 2 -4 cakes so I snapped pictures! One was an 8" (I believe) that had the plastic Princesses on top she said it was $55, the one next to it had a Halloween theme, she said they dont deliver, but of course you could deliver it yourself... also there was a MINI Mickey Mouse head cake that was SO VERY CUTE!! maybe 4-6inches (same as what has been posted but shrunk to fit on a mini dessert plate -) the sign said DDP so I asked, and that mini cake is one SNACK Credit on the DIning Plan!!

5. At pop in the fridge sections they have those "Podium" cakes in the fridge, a white cake with sprinkles - again, they have been posted before - (these are NOT the cakes you PRE ORDER just if you show up and look at the fridge section at pop, there is that option for a cake)

Sandy, Sorry about the cake & the service at Park Fare! I appreciate the info about the Boardwalk Bakery. I ordered a mini castle cake for our niece at Narcoosee's for tomorrow night. But was considering doing something else at another rest. We'll be at the BC, so I can walk over & purchase something if I decide to! Thanks!

I can't wait to see our turning 6 yo face, when she sees that Castle Cake!

I was thinking about getting a cake for my DBF when we go next April/May but must admit I am pretty confused what we can have.

We may be doing a Wishes cruise to celebrate our 5 year dating anniversary so would like a Happy Anniversary cake, but only a small one as there will only be 2 of us. What I would like to know is what would be available for us?

Many thanks.
