I found this article from another website, I am not sure if it is accurate but it looks pretty believable.

"A teaser video of the long-rumored Monster's Inc. roller coaster, to be located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, leaked yesterday on the official Disney employee website, The Hub. According to those employees who saw the video, the attraction will be a suspended roller coaster with stunning detail, housed in a large show building themed to look like the Monster's Inc. factory, located at the end of Pixar Place (the end nearest the Backlot Tour), and opening sometime in 2011.

Concept art for the post-show experience was published as well. Based on the scale of this project, it is speculated that the Backlot Tour will be permanently shut down sometime during the construction process. Unfortunately for fans, Disney removed the video from The Hub a few hours after it was uploaded to the internet, leading me to believe someone in the company jumped the gun by publishing the video. Based on that assumption, expect Disney to make an official announcement about this project within the near future."

Like I said, I didnt see the video myself nor the site, but its what I found.

About 4-5 days ago a news and rumor site had this attraction as likely to happen. So with that and then a couple of days later the video on the employee website, this looks like it will likely be happening.Sounds cool, another indoor coaster,I'm just wondering where exactly will it go.

When DH and I saw Monsters Inc. for the 1st time, I thought the scenes with the doors flying seemed like a great concept for a ride. When will Disney hire me for my ideas? Now they can redo Indy Speedway into the Piston Cup:)

...hey that was MY idea!!! ;)

...I would LOVE to see Sci-Fi converted to a Radiator Springs themed restaurant...

Rumors seem to indicate that it'll be located next to Toy Story Mania (to the left of the building as you're looking at it.) That way it'll tie in with the "Pixar Place" theming.

Sounds like a great attraction. :thumbsup2

Now they just need to figure out how to strap me to a door...

Actually, I wonder how "intense" the ride will be? I would love a ride similar to Everest in that it would be a story based coaster ride with pauses to continue the story.

Queue would have various rooms from the company including the trash compactor, the Scream Extractor area, changing room with lockers, Roz's office and then you enter the Scare Floor where the coaster starts.

Start up on the Scare Floor as the CDA alarm goes off. You hear Mike yell "It's the CDA! We gotta get outta here!" Sulley yelling "Hang on!" Ala Rockn'Roller Coaster you launch and head into the large door storage area. After a few near misses with doors and "head-choppers" you slow to a complete stop partially entering a darkened bedroom. You hear Boo say "Uh-oh!"

Randall then jumps out at you as the coaster reverses back along a new track. At this point you pass through a series of bedrooms using all kinds of themes as Sulley explains that they have to find a way back to Boo. You stop going backwards at a Y and see another closet door with Randall closing in on Boo. Boo however hammers him with a bat and you see poor Randall change several colors before the door slams. Sulley says "Good job, Boo! You showed him!" along with Boo's chanting along. Mike groans "Can we go back now?" and the coaster heads forward now and takes the other fork. As you pass the door you notice it "fall" (high def vidscreen).

You now reenter the Door Storage room but at a much higher level than when you entered it the first time. (Due to the launch you had climbed several hills to burn off speed earlier). You have a big drop with a couple of turns before finally coming back into the "Laugh Floor". A seperate unload area with Mike and Co. all happy and enjoying the new work atmosphere. :cool2:

So you really haven't put too much thought into it;)

Seriously, DH and I would love another coaster if it is to really happen. I have a love for both thrill rides and everything Disney.

Actually, they have this ride in Disneyland! Of course, it is a slow moving ride, but the last room you enter has all the doors up above you on conveyor belts. It is really a cute ride!

Correction! It is in California Adventure.

Not quite like that. This is a suspended roller coaster. Hopefully it will include a few inversions seeing how the only restraint for a suspended system is over the shoulder restraints. SurfinTx pretty much did a good job at a prediction. Except there werent any inversions. :goodvibes

I would be all for this roller coaster as long as it doesn't have any of those corkscrews/inverted curves. They give me instant headaches and put me down in bed for the rest of the day.

I love all of the Disney coasters that don't have them though! Very adult friendly! :cheer2:

I'm trying to remember...did the doors do any inversions in Monsters, Inc? If not, then I'd hope the coaster wouldn't do any either.

I imagine it to be like the Iron Dragon at Cedar Point, no loops or super fast speeds, fun for the whole family. I love the door scene in the Monsters ride at CA, so this sounds like a neat ride.

Whoah thats a really good idea for that. I went on that a week ago it was awesome. But thats a really good point on what it will most likely be like.

yea, that would be really cool. they need some more thrill rides @ HS. we were in disneyland this past june and rode the monsters inc. ride and it was really colorful and we rode in this one room that was the big factory with all the doors moving everywhere. it was fun!
